@ 10 Uhm, no, because I happen to live here — although I wouldn’t mind getting sold to Indiana or Kentucky.
The problem with IL is: while large segments of it are fairly conservative, the major urban centers are overrun with progressives and union Dems (some of the individual union members aren’t the problem even, but the unions themselves “own” their people, so…). And there is just no way the rest of the state can overturn Cook and the collar counties; there simply aren’t enough voters for that. Add in the increasing number of people in this state who have been forced (yes, forced) onto the welfare roles, and this is what happens. The people of IL are between a rock and a hard place (and the GOP in this state haven’t exactly been helpful either, at least so far).
