Sad. They barely filled half of the arena.

The end of hope and change.
The Caucus reported:
President Obama wrapped up a weekend of last-minute campaigning in Ohio on Sunday, addressing Democrats in an indoor arena that, in a sign of the “enthusiasm gap” that the president is working so hard to close, was little more than half full.
About 8,000 people attended the Democratic National Committee’s Moving America Forward’ rally at Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center, a hall where the capacity is 13,000. The rafters were largely empty.
Organizers noted the president was competing on a Sunday afternoon with church, football and Halloween. And Mr. Obama drew a huge crowd of about 35,000 when he was in nearby Columbus, Ohio, in an earlier October rally. Still, the thin crowd was perhaps a foreboding sign in the waning days of the midterm races, when Mr. Obama, who was joined Sunday by Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., considers getting Democrats to the polls his most important mission.
Update: The organizers claimed that Obama was competing with a football game. Not true. The Browns had a bye this week.

And this guy’s a broken record- we’ve all heard his spiel already

Maybe the crowds would be bigger, if he’d stuck to his original theme of inclusion….

That arena looks awfully empty for being 2/3 full. Looks more like 8000 empty seats.

Some day in the not-too-distant future, this crowd will be considered large.

Perhaps if Obama wasn’t on every TV channel from The Food Channel to The Comedy Channel he might get a better turnout. And maybe if the American people benefited from his agenda there would be a bigger turnout.
Or if he hadn’t turned off more than half the public while courting the far left. But the fact is that after only 2 years America is tired of this flavor of the month.
deskjockey commented:
They can’t even get give an honest lame excuse. Competing with football? This was a bye week for the Browns.

there aren’t even 400,000 people left in the City anymore-this place is dead-
That is Wolstein Center and believe me, it only holds 3000 people…
Lebron James left, there are no jobs here, no music business here, no money here and the peeps in charge could care less about what happens to Cleveland.
The pres shoulda stayed home.
We don’t believe a word of it…sorry-

Condensed version of Obama speech. I inherited George Bush’s failed policies, no mention of Democrap control of Congress for 2 years leading up to his swearing in. The cars in the ditch and the Republicans are sucking on slurpee’s while we dig even deeper, someone pass me a kool aid. I got the keys and they can’t have them back, where do I put this key. When we get out they can come along, but they need to stay in back of the bus. And please get out and vote, we need some plausibility to cover all these dead voters, ACORN can’t do it alone. And do not fear, we have the New Black Panthers in place to protect you.

It’s actually pretty sad. Leadership is something Obama was never taught, or never learned. He deserved better from his mentors, but was condemned somehow to having shallow and gutless people to draw reference from. We all suffer from his sad past. And his lack of leadership is being laid bare by his own words and actions. He will not be respected by history.

Everyday is Halloween to Obama, he always is in costume as the Joker. With his VP the court jester. The joke is on the fools that voted for him, unfortunately for those that didn’t, we also suffer. Keeps whining about inheriting the problem but hasn’t done anything about it.
Paul Mlckovsky commented:
The Wolstein Center (at Cleveland State University) is a 13,000 seat arena . very bare – bones . no ice equip for ice hockey (yet) . whoever wanted to use it (for the dems) should have done their homework . those visuals of all those empty seats are a real bomb for the democraps .
Cuyahoga County Dems are paralyzed , due to huge corruption scandal . Obamacraps must rely on unions and the state dem party (not in all that great of shape , itself . ) . early voting looks good , but GOTV is still just as important . that means you !!!!
Ohio Granny commented:
I was outside with my Dump Dennis sign. 85% or more were black, well dressed and either 20 somethings or their grandparents. Saw the SEIU in their purple coats. Saw the beautiful parents with their babies, but wasn’t seeing the middle class 35-50 year olds turning out for the man who wants to tax small business and barber shops out of exisitance.
There were no waiting lines. They started 10 minutes early, and at that time, there were almost no people trying to get in.
Then, I haven’t been able to confirm this (but I did see 4 or more large buses right outside the entrance) but I heard them call for all the folks to go immediately to the Board of Elections and to VOTE. Now, I’ve never heard of them being open on Sundays before but maybe Jimmy Dimora called from jail to steal one more election.
And they had to PAY OFA GOTV workers to go door to door.
This event was a bust. Hopefully, we will see if that translates into votes.
PJ commented:
And after seeing all of this, one begins to wonder why Kasich is only ahead by one point in the most recent polls.
Either the Democrat SOS is earning her keep, the illegals are voting heavily, or the polls are way off.
I wonder which one?

Even if the Browns were playing, it’s doubtful there would have been a football game on Sunday

Steven said “The union buses were late.”
That is because they had to negotiate for the overtime of the SEIU Drivers who hadn’t work a full 40 hour week but got paid for only 60.
There is so much to cut from Government waste that you just can’t imagine.
