Another day… Another unhinged leftist stalks and lunges at a Republican leader.
MoveOn.org contract employee Lauren Valle wasn’t counting on this reaction by Rand Paul supporters.

She was tackled and stepped on by Paul supporters. (TPM)
Look for the state-run media to make her into some kind of saint by the end of the day.
Here’s the video:
A MoveOn.org activist had her head stepped on after she tried to harass Rand Paul prior to his final debate on Monday.
The AP reported:
Supporters of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul wrestled a woman to the ground and one stepped on her head after she tried to confront the candidate in Kentucky.
The incident happened Monday night in Lexington right before a debate between Paul and Democratic opponent Jack Conway.
Lauren Valle of liberal group MoveOn.org, told Louisville station WDRB she was trying to give Paul a fake award when his supporters took her to the ground.
Television footage shows Valle’s blonde wig being pulled off before she’s pinned to ground. A man then puts his foot down on her head. Valle said the incident left her with “a bit of a headache.”
Let’s hope Code Pink was watching.
More… Valle went to the meeting to harass Rand Paul.
CNN reported:
Lauren Valle told WDRB that she was there to present Paul with an award from RepubliCorp. The MoveOn.org-created group focuses on what it calls the merger between corporate America and the Republican Party.
“We’re here to present Rand Paul with the ‘Employee of the Month’ award. However, his supporters were not very nice to me and my message which is the same as everyone else — just wanted to get out here with a sign,” Valle of East Falmouth, Massachusetts, told WDRB. “I got my head stepped on, so I have a bit of a headache.”

Aside from a foot being placed on her head, I see no other way to tell these crazies that they aren’t wanted. They aren’t reasonable so they cannot be handled reasonably. This picture is exactly what the media is out for. It was probably necessary, but very unfortunate. George Soros probably wee-wee’d in his Depends when he got this.

Putting your foot on someone’s head is inexcusable and should be condemned by everyone on the right. Me personally, for whatever it’s worth, I apologize for how she was treated by this Rand Paul supporter.

This is exactly the kind of publicity MoveOn.org is looking for – don’t do this. This feeds into their meme of who we are – and THIS is NOT who we are.
Rise up and above folks. Part the waters and let them pass. They walk alone (until they need us).
Marsh commented:
After watching the vid I’m shocked by how brutal those two Rand Paul supporters were to that woman. What on Earth were they thinking? I’d like to hear these two try to justify their actions. Did she assualt them first or did they decide to basically curb-stomp her just because she was a liberal trying to pull a stunt? If it’s the latter then SHAME on both of you. There should be absolutely NO tolerance for that kind of behavior from our side of the political debate.
Marsh commented:
Someone post the whole video please.

I don’t condone what they did, there are other ways to restrain someone for sure, but the anger level in this country is getting worse and worse and worse. And I totally get that.

Unless she had pulled a weapon near Paul, or any one else for that matter, then this should be condemned in the strongest possible terms. The ones doing the beating should be IDed and charged with assault. We cannot allow this type of behavior go unpunished like St Louis County did in the Gladney beat-down last year.

Yeh lets wait for the gun to be drawn to take action. The left puts their boot to the neck of the private sector every day. This guy puts his boot on the other shoulder and someone in the crowd says No no no and he takes it off. When we have to live under death threats for moving a conservative counter agenda , I think these people showed a lot of restraint . We will not survive with these Glen Beck pacifist cowards who shout ” It only a shower …be civil ” as the left pushes us into the gas chamber.

Where’s the proof that anyone in that crowd was a “Rand Paul supporter?”
How do we know this isn’t an elaborate MoveOn.org scheme? We know they’re involved. The Democrats are facing the loss of nearly 100 seats in the House and 12-15 in the Senate in a week.
Do you not think they would stoop to this act in order to try to rile up their depressed base?

It looks like they were trying to hold her for the police, but I definitely agree that the foot on the head part was horrifying to watch. Thankfully, he was quickly told to stop and did so. This can’t be the only video of that, so I’m waiting to see what more surfaces.
What on earth was she doing, anyway? Not that whatever it is excuses the foot thing, but I’m curious. After over a year of leftist lunatics trying to stir up violence from us, plotting to plant, and actually planting, people in Tea Party gatherings with racist slurs and Hitler ‘staches painted on signs, etc., it’s little wonder we’re hypersensitive to their presence (they aren’t there to hand out cookies and milk, after all) and want the police called to remove them.

It well could have been a misdirect by the left. We might have a totally different story by the end of the day.

Grabbing someone who is rushing toward a candidate is the right thing to do. She appeared to be plowing through the crowd in a disguise and was only about 15′ from from him.
The foot on the head shoulder was too much, but this was just a guy in the crowd, right? It shouldn’t affect Paul, but the media will try. I’m sure we’ll see the abbreviated clip often enough though – that does not include the context of Paul getting out of the SUV and being rushed by a person is disguise.
BTW, here’s the latest “Republicorp” video from Moveon. This stuff is beyond self parody:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP4qZE-HXe8
forest commented:
So now it’s confirmed. She was rushing Rand Paul. The guy who grabbed her definitely did the right thing. The other guy should have kept his foot to himself, but otherwise, these supporters acted pretty well. You can hear one person telling him “no no no” to the “stomper” and another person was saying “call the cops”.
And again, they were just random supporters, not employees of the campaign.
Ron commented:
I watched the video and failed to see when the MoveOn.org person “lunged” at anyone, let alone Rand Paul. This is just another example of the Nazi-Gestapo type world we will live in if people like Rand Paul actually get elected. Won’t that be a wonderful world.
Chris commented:
Did anyone listen to the video. You can hear the people yelling for someone to call the cops, They thought she was a danger. Then when the idiot put his foot on her head you can hear other supporters call her down. I think she was very lucky. You cant charge anyone and think nothing will happen.
Ginger commented:
Hey Ron….go ump yourself!
daryl commented:
check the second video down at this link. She sounds as if she enjoyed it!
This whole thing very well could have been staged because she didn’t seem to be the worse for wear after her “roughing up and getting “stomped” on when she was interviewed afterward.
Still we don’t need to give them anything that smacks of a physical assault.

I don’t excuse the stomping, but she was lunging, darting, lurching or forcing her way toward him – whatever you want to call it (and in a bad disguise). It’s a scary situation not unlike the Reagan and RFK shootings.
Mark S. commented:
I’m not sure (as i can’t play the video at work), but if the crowd is calling for the police, then they’re simply restraining her.. that being said, putting your foot on their head to hold them down? there are better ways to restrain someone…
The Employee of the Month award is the obvious MoveOn.org stunt used quite a bit as of lately (i’ve seen them use it a couple of times in videos and photos now… where they’re trying to set up a candidate in a sucker photograph.)

Think what the Secret Service would have done to someone had the politician been a SS protected person. They would have put her in a hurt locker.
That being said, they should have put her in a wrist lock or arm bar control hold and called for the police. There is a technique I was taught in the academy in which one of my knees will be on the arrestees neck while I am applying my cuffs, painful but not damaging and my whole 235 lbs would be on you.

I don’t think the left has earned the benefit of the doubt when these types of “attacks” happen. Sorry. I will condemn forcefully if this is a legitimate encounter and assault, but I don’t think that will be the case. I will leave out the usually vile “she had it coming” excuse for now, but it remains astonishing to me that the left feels like it can act like this (moving through the crowd, in disguise, to confront a politician) without repercussion. Of course, if I knew that my provocations would be greeted by 50+ sympathetic memeorandum posts (and counting) perhaps that would sway my decision-making.

It’s always overlooked, even justified when the left crosses the line – AlWAYS a high crime and should be a felony if someone “seemingly” from the right does. Welcome to the perpetual lunacy of the left.

I think some of you have lost your minds. Citizens approach candidates for office all the time. Are you saying that the standard by which this occurs should be that these people are then tackled by the candidates’ supporters (not even security), thrown to the ground, and while pinned down, have their heads stepped on? She could have had her neck broken, she could have been killed. The only response to the fact that she appears to be uninjured is that she and Rand Paul got very, very lucky with that result. Some of you need to step back and find some perspective.
Pamela Troy commented:
Nyuck! Nycuck! Yesirree, Mr. Hoft, kudos to that big brave soul who kicks her hard enough to bang her head on the pavement once she’s been pinned safely the ground and is offering no resistance. Code Pink viewers now know that any middle-aged women in pink who show up at Rand Paul rallies armed with signs are lookin’ for a stompin!
Kevin commented:
Will, why did she see the need to wear a disguise then? I have worked executive protection details before, you see someone dressed like that aggressively moving towards the protected person, you don’t wait to see what they want.
Obviously she did something back there that got peoples attention. And if you look close the guys foot was on her upper back, not her head. And he was doing it to try to get her to lay flat on her stomach, I have done the same hundreds of times before dropping to my knee to put cuffs on someone.
If you don’t want to get taken down, don’t down charge a political candidate from the back of a crowd. Common sense to most of us.
Ran commented:
No Tolerance is right. This woman showed up with the intention of creating a scene to begin with. Now people are up in arms since she had her head stepped on because she was stupid enough to put herself in that situation? Here’s my message for her – “just Move On”
Will commented:
“I have worked executive protection details before, you see someone dressed like that aggressively moving towards the protected person, you don’t wait to see what they want.”
These people weren’t “working executive protection details”. They were average citizens assaulting another average citizen.
“Obviously she did something back there that got peoples attention.”
So she deserved to get tossed to the ground by men twice her size, and have her head stepped on?
“And if you look close the guys foot was on her upper back, not her head.”
I have seen this excuse pushed since last night. I have watched the video a million times. His foot was on her head. If it was such an innocent foot-on-person-I’ve-just-dragged-to-the-ground situation, why in the video does his colleague instruct him to stop when he puts his foot on her head? Watch the video and listen to what he says.
“And he was doing it to try to get her to lay flat on her stomach, I have done the same hundreds of times before dropping to my knee to put cuffs on someone.”
Just because you have performed this manuveur in a professional capacity does not entitle you to project your professional judgment onto people who were not doing this in any kind of professional capacity.

Tensions flared at the senatorial candidates’ debate here Monday night in two confrontations between Conway and Paul supporters, Lexington police reported.
The second occurred after a Conway supporter stepped on the foot of a female Rand supporter, who recently had foot surgery, according to police.
The woman was wearing a surgical boot, but after the injury, her incision was cut open. Police say she refused medical treatment and also filed an assault report.
(end of report)
Crickets from the jackass Democrats and most of the media about the second incident, where a Rand Paul supporter was actually injured.
Now if you all will excuse me, I’m busy trying to find coverage in the media of this incident-
Senate Majority Leader Steny Hoyer punches black Republican opponent in the back and tells him he is coming after him-
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2010/10/did_steny_hoyer_punch_his_repu.html
Nothing from the media about that, no criticism of Hoyer from fellow Democrats.
But I’m supposed to worry about a MoveOn agitator?
Not in this life.

Oh, for crying out loud. She didn’t have her “head stomped”. The guy clearly put his foot on her shoulder and pushed her down. Should she have been taken down? I guess that depends on exactly what she was doing at the time she was restrained. If she was trying to rush the candidate then yes.. the takedown was appropriate though I would argue the shoulder push was excessive though not particularly harmful.
Wodun commented:
While it is true that the violence directed at the Tea Party last summer was totally ignored by the MSM, there is no excuse for conservatives to act like liberals.
The guy stepping on the woman’s head/shoulder is totally unexceptionable and he should be charged with assault.
It is important to note that people in the crowd also defended her.
It is also important to note that conservatives are overwhelmingly condemning this indecent, and the Democrats have yet to condemn any of their violent actions against Tea Partiers.

“The merger between Corporate America and the Republican Party.” Laughable nonsense. Hasn’t she ever read Timothy Carney’s excellent articles on how much money Green interests (GE and others) stand to gain from the Democrats and the “Green” movement? The irony is that it is the Democrats, and a few clueless Republicans, that enable the Green movement. It’s akin to the NAACP referring to Tea Party activists as “racists.” The ignorance of the narrow minded, uneducated left is astounding. Lenin referred to them as “useful idiots.” The very freedom they pretend to embrace is what they are helping to take away.

on a side note, when the “code pink” protestor got in Ms Rice’s face a few years ago, I was aghast. How did the security people allow the woman to get so close? Had she wanted to, Condi was wide open and could have been seriously injured by the pinker. At least the Paul supporters understand the nature of the threat. These are not civilized people intent on a debate. It is about intimidation and Alinsky tactics. Objective truth be cast aside……
CR commented:
I can’t believe all you whining babies, crying about how “thuggish” and “brutal” the Rand supporters were. Did that video hurt your precious feelings?
Calling it a “head-stomp” is a stretch at best. I didn’t see any stomping. What you’re describing is actually called a “curb-stomp” and the target rarely survives. Humans are quite fragile and stomping on a person’s head results in death.
As usual, the camera angle is deceptive but that doesn’t stop a bunch of ninnies from crying foul, also as usual. There’s no way to tell if anyone’s foot is actually touching her head or not and if so, there is certainly not any force being applied. If you doubt that, have a pal step on your head and see how much force it takes before you scream. While you’re at it, have your pal stomp on your head and see what happens.
The bottom line is simple. If you don’t wish to be roughed-up then don’t cause trouble, especially within large crowds. If you do incite a large crowd then all bets are off and whatever happens is your own fault. If you’re gonna be stupid then you better be tough.
Stop the armchair forensics – whining about an event you didn’t witness, having only seen crappy video. Forming a judgment and griping about the treatment of the instigator based on scant evidence is garbage so cut it out already.
