Juan Williams Fired From NPR for Comments About Muslims on O'Reilly Factor (Video)

Unbelievable. NPR fired Juan Williams on Wednesday after he made comments about Muslims and terrorism. They don’t care much about free and accurate speech on NPR.
Is there any doubt that the far left is in control of our media?
The far left website Think Progress was behind his firing.
The New York Times reported:
NPR has terminated its contract with Juan Williams, one of its senior news analysts, after he made comments about Muslims on the Fox News Channel.
NPR said in a statement that it gave Mr. Williams notice of his termination on Wednesday night.
The move came after Mr. Williams, who is also a Fox News political analyst, appeared on the “The O’Reilly Factor” on Monday. On the show, the host, Bill O’Reilly, asked him to respond to the notion that the United States was facing a “Muslim dilemma.” Mr. O’Reilly said, “The cold truth is that in the world today jihad, aided and abetted by some Muslim nations, is the biggest threat on the planet.”
Mr. Williams said he concurred with Mr. O’Reilly.
He continued: “I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”
Mr. Williams also made reference to the Pakistani immigrant who pleaded guilty this month to trying to plant a car bomb in Times Square. “He said the war with Muslims, America’s war is just beginning, first drop of blood. I don’t think there’s any way to get away from these facts,” Mr. Williams said.
NPR said in its statement that the remarks “were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.”
And just think… You’re paying for this channel!

There was not a DAMN thing wrong with what Juan said, he spoke honestly and truthfully and obviously that is too much for the NPR.

I am really surprised that he lasted as long as he did. Juan rarely digs his heels in on an issue. I do appreciate his appearance on Fox News, he adds to the fair and balanced motto.
Unlike Alan Combs I don’t hope Juan goes away. When I was a Field Engineer back in the late eighties through the 90s I drove a lot and listened to talk radio. One day I came across Alan Combs show on the radio and was hooked, not because I took him seriously but because he made me laugh at his talk about UFOs and all the kook conspiracy stuff you can think of.

Take their slogan that Islam is a religion of peace. Of course it is, but only after you accept its peace terms of total submission to it along with its horrible Muslim superiority Sharia that destroys all freedoms. Until then Allah commands Muslims to wage ceaseless war with unbelievers, which historically has come to mean even Muslims of different sects, which is why Islam has been a religion of endless war with an ironic slogan. Yes, ceaseless war. Allah declared the war, and no human can declare peace in his name, sorry, you’re either with him or against him, although he does permit temporary truces greased by plenty of jizya or punishment fees, like the stupid U.S. has been paying the Taliban, Egypt, etc.
It’s not about racism. Islam isn’t a race, but it wants to absorb all races, so let’s not go there, it’s counterproductive. It’s not just a religion either, because it comes with a god who wants to control the government, so let’s not get mired in discussions of the Crusades and Creationism. Can Islam be reformed via a Christian-style Reformation? How? The Protestant Reformation was a revolt against the papacy that used the words and examples of Jesus against it, but an Islamic reformation would be a revolt against Allah himself. So-called moderate Muslims are like the fabled unicorn, plenty of sightings, none captured and in a zoo yet. Muslims who claim to hate Islamic extremists like Osama bin Laden are still for Allah and his final perfect example prophet Muhammad, and are just trying to get the Muslim Trojan Horse in the Western gates so their progeny can do the rest.
Why then do we want to invite foreign agents and enemy combatants into our borders to show how tolerant we are, are we suicidal? Do we want to convert to Islam too? Despite all we do to appease them and shower them with tolerance, allowing Muslims into a non-Muslim country as immigrants will guarantee ceaseless strife, it’s not about specific Muslims it’s about the Quran they bring with them that contains Allah’s commands to keep up the war until he wins, if you won’t do it the Muslim next door will, or your children, which is why the West must stop Muslim immigration now and reverse it or else face an endless push to subvert the constitution and erect Sharia. Islamic terrorists are only a part of the threat, the main threat is Muslim immigrants who refuse to assimilate and set up de facto Sharia then foment civil war, as Europe is finding out.
It’s not about Western politics, left, center, or right, because Allah wants to push them all aside. It’s sad to see rightists warning of the danger of Sharia and leftists knee-jerking in support of Muslims because they hate rightists. Neither group wants to see their country turn into a Sharia hellhole, so it’s time they realized they have common ground here. Instead of hoping that Islam will change, and bowing and submitting to its demands to open the gates to Muslims who won’t change and instead want to change us, we need to encourage more like Ayaan Hirsi Ali who chuck Islam completely, after which they can queue up for immigration to the West, but not until.
If Islam is at war with the non-Muslim world, what’s keeping it from sending out giant armies instead of tiny terrorist armies? Unfortunately, only the recent era of British and French hegemony over the Islamic world that started after WWI, which is now crumbling. Their game was to nourish the Pan-Islamic movement that told Muslims to first unite the Muslim world (Umma) behind a new caliphate, and only take up arms after he officially declared jihad, like in the good ole days of the Ottoman caliphate. Meanwhile they made sure there was no new caliphate, while ruthlessly suppressing any Muslims who wanted to get violent sans caliphate under nationalist or other guises, which ultimately failed as the nationalists kicked them out of country after country, at first by claiming they were secular Muslim republics, playing off the Islam history ignoramus U.S. and Communist world and encouraging them to take over, which broke loose when Iran openly chucked secular for theocratic government with misguided Marxist help, albeit for the 10% minority of Shiites, leaving the other 90% of Sunnis to follow their lead, as we see happening every day in Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, Indonesia, Sudan, Nigeria, Russian Caucasus et al. The magic moment of turning the tide in their favor was when the violent Islamists got stupid U.S. Pres. Reagan to support them in a military struggle against the Soviets in Afghanistan, playing both ends against the middle, then setting up a horrible Sharia state that thumbed their noses at both of them as soon as the U.S. forgot about them, later giving safe haven to al-Qaida. Sure, Muslims really want to become Marxists and switch to new infidel god Marx, and sure, Muslims want to become American Capitalists and switch to new infidel gods George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and the infidel Constitution, it’s your birthday, go shout it. Today the growing number of violent Muslim groups who take their orders direct from the Quran and chuck the pan-Islamic Umma rhetoric and declare jihad on the U.S., Israel, Europe et al. on their own are of course disavowed by “mainstream” Muslim spokesmen, especially those receiving U.S. aid, who never tell you the punchline that once there’s a new nuclear-armed caliphate, 1.x billion Muslims will do as they are told, even those living in the West, who, if we don’t stop immigration now, might have worked up to control of Western armies, followed by unthinkable consequences.
So yes, Muslim terrorists did 9/11, just not under orders of a caliph, but if they had, mainstream Islam would back them up 100%, sorry Islam ignoramus leftist women of The View, you are helping open the gates to the Muslim Trojan Horse by trivializing it into a left v. right thang. In the meantime Allah actually commands all Muslims no matter what sect or organization to spread the territory ruled by his Sharia worldwide by all means, violent and not, and it’s not negotiable with him, sorry, so Islam is currently in not at peace but in a Cold War with the West until they restore the caliphate, and Muslims should be treated as dangerous potential enemies of the Constitutional government by Congress like they did with Nazis and Communists, else it could lead to national suicide. It’s not about hating Muslims, but the ideology of Islam that they bring with them, which itself respects no authority other than Allah and his final prophet Muhammad, whose orders are cast in concrete and have no expired time limit. Exactly. Williams obviously shouldn’t have been fired for that remark — whether NPR agreed with it or not — but I struggle to get that worked up about it considering how he tacitly approves of liberals treating conservatives that speak their mind this same way, including them mischaracterizing remarks by conservatives or depicting them as something they are not (e.g., racist).

What an idiotic statement by these Martin moron. First of all, did anybody even want to build a Catholic church on a site where bomb debris landed after the OKC bombing? Second, the evidence shows that McVeigh was not even religious and certainly didn’t engage in the act on behalf of his religion, like the 9/11 bombers. Third, one isolated attack by McVeigh (with the help of Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier) over 15 years ago is not anywhere near on the same level as what we’ve faced and are continuing to face in regards to Islamic extremists murdering on behalf of their religion. These Leftist idiots with their non-existent or flawed moral equivalencies is enraging. I guess they think having a lame response to people who oppose the building of the Islamic Center and mosque planned for near ground zero, even if said response is nonsensical and intellectual dishonest, is better than the having no response.

I disagree with Mr. Williams on many, if not most, things. However, I believe that he is a man of integrity because he adheres to his his views in an honest and forthright manner. I’ve seen him passionately attack racial animus, and not hesitate to include the black demagogues and race baiters as his targets. He may be a liberal, and he will stubbornly advance his arguments from a weak or illogical philosophical or factual basis, but he seems sincere. I know sincerity is no defense to a policy that will cause serious damage to our society, but its preferable to the professional hypocrites and con men who make up our political and chattering classes. As the lines are being drawn for the future conflict, each side is being more radical and insisting on more purity. There are no “moderate” Democrats or Republicans anymore. Juan strayed away from the strict party line, and he was punished. I doubt that he, unlike Eliot Spitzer, will be able to find any form of redemption. In my state Senate district a sitting Democratic Senator, who is very progressive on issues such as same sex marriage and abortion, lost to an even more leftist candidate in the primary. Since this is a pretty safe Democratic seat, he will probably win. In the same way, many conservatives have great disdain for say, the ‘Republican’ Senators from Maine, or Sen. Lindsey Graham.
Islam is a real and present danger. The Jews who left Germany in the 1930′s weren’t being paranoid. I have called it “National People’s Radio” for a long time.
