Dem Rep. Ed Perlmutter slapped GOP challenger Ryan Frazier, a veteran, during their debate while arguing over Obamacare.
Via Jammie Wearing Fool:

Michael Sadoval at NRO reported on the incident:

Democratic Rep. Ed Perlmutter and GOP challenger Ryan Frazier verbally sparred over many issues, from energy and taxes to foreign policy and the national debt. But it was during an exchange over health care, and the health care bill itself, that Perlmutter swats Frazier’s hand. Frazier quickly responded and Perlmutter apologized immediately:

“Ed, don’t hit me man, come on!” said Frazier.

  1. “Ed, don’t hit me man, come on!” said Frazier.
    =================
Oh Frazier, didn’t you hear about the
” hand to hand combat” orders from the Commander In Thief ?
You should be thankful this Ed thing didn’t bite off your finger !!

  2. The only reason that f*ck liberal apologized was he knew Frazier could kick his ass and turn him over to sweep the floor.

  3. First it was :
    ” Don’t taze me bro”

    Then there was :
    ” Don’t hug me bro”

    Now its
    ” Don’t slap me bro”

  4. Good Lord at the sissies we have produced in this Country. He touched his hand, Big deal. When I read the headline I assumed someone got B-slapped. I watched a special on Andrew Jackson the other night. The man fought duels with pistols to avenge his good name and the name of his family. If every time one of these pols made up an outlandish lie, (Grayson’s Taliban Dan remark comes to mind), and they were challenged by a real Man or Woman (they can use seconds), with real Honor, and had to put their life on the line to back their words, that would knock most of this BS off.

  5. Thank you Neomom.

  6. That was not a slap. Do you people overreact to everything on this site or just most things? You are not doing our conservative side any favors by pushing this stuff.

  7. I don’t think I’d call that a slap, and I think the immediate apology covered it. Also, from this very small snippet, I think Perlmutter handled himself well, knowing the sections if not actual pages. (Who would have really, without the document in front of him?) It would be interested to see if Perlmutter’s copy is well marked and highlighted. Republicans should remain focused, and not sweat the small stuff. Verbally sparring is a very good thing for this country.

  8. There is no ” section 66 18 ” in the Obamacare bill dealing with malpractice tort reform. There is a house bill H6618 that deals with gasoline zone pricing regulation.

  9. Yawn. That wasn’t a slap; he barely touched his hand. There’s lots of better stuff to report on, Jim!

  10. I do realize the liberal media would be all over this if it was a white Republican “slapping” a black Democrat, but still, let’s not stoop to their level.

  11. It does our conservative cause no favors for Jim Hoft to constantly describe every little point of contact as a grave assault. It calls into question and undermines the other, serious points we raise. Please, Gateway Pundit, let’s keep perspective!

  12. I was expecting a bit more of an actual slap, like the Dem actually slapped the guys hand down not barely grazed him.

    Overplayed this Jim.

Though of course it is true had that happened with parties reversed it would have been reported as short of a cross burning or a lynching.

  13. This is too overblown. I am working to get liberals ousted – but we have to be careful on our reporting. That wasn’t a slap – that is a gesture that we all do – every day – to someone in conversation. It wasn’t rude, it wasn’t a confrontational move – it was a responsive gesture. Better to highlight the errors in his “speech” – that is where the real damage is – to our country. Your reporting is better than most blogs and the one I come to first every day. This either doesn’t need to be posted, or it needs to be posted regarding what he said… in this case… not what he did. Our conservative responded well – with a joke and a smile. He won the day.

  14. I agree, it was almost nothing and they settled it right there. Nothing to see, just move on. We have more important “fish to fry”.

  15. One more thing, this one minor event doesn’t make Perlmutter a racist, so please remove that from the title, unless there is more evidence.

  16. Look, lets not turn into the pussys the democrats are. I hope this was tongue in cheek.

We don’t have to act like the girly men to win…

  17. That looked more like a little push than a slap or a hit. I’m as anti-left as the next guy but there is a drama-queen aspect emerging on our side’s blogs where minor incidences are being blown way out of proportion which only feeds the Alinsky marching orders of our opposition to use ridicule to demean their opponents. We are better than this.

  18. He touched him in a condescending way = racist (most certainly in the Dem’s dictionary had the skin colors been the other way round)!
