Bummer. Bill Clinton went to Detroit to campaign for democrats today.
The gym was only half full.
The Detroit News reported:
The U.S. is on its way to financial recovery but Democrats must show up at the polls Nov. 2 to prevent further economic strife, former president Bill Clinton told a rally in Detroit today.
Clinton said the GOP is motivating voters by blaming Democrats for a recession he said was brought about by the Bush administration. Republicans say “we gave them 21 months to dig out of this hole we dug,” Clinton said at Renaissance High School on the west side.
“We’re not out of the hole because it was a very deep hole,” Clinton said. “Don’t shoot yourself in the foot.”
Clinton, who campaigned in the battleground state of Florida earlier this week, is popular in Detroit and trying to fire up the party base in Michigan today with stops today in Detroit, Ann Arbor and Battle Creek.
But he began his speech just before 3 p.m. in a high school gym that was less than half full. The appearance was in support of gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero, shown in most polls to be trailing Republican candidate Rick Snyder by 20 percentage points.

Bill Clinton’s “NEED” for praise and adulation has become a parody. There are people who still admire him and actually BELIEVE that Clinton was/is a good man. FINE.

Right on gus, the reason Clinton and Obama can’t stand to be in the same room together is they are alike. Both arrogant narcissistic jerks. The only difference is Bill is in love with his wiener and BO is in love with his mirror. I had a good friend that is a psychologist and she told me that most of the time, if you have an irrational dislike for someone it is because you see yourself in them.

NEVER FORGET, Clinton/Gore also succeeded in passing legislation to place an income tax on SOCIAL SECURITY recipients who essentially paid with their taxes into the “Trust Fund” instead of being able to put that money into a true retirement system, so they are being taxed on money that was already taxed, with VP Gore breaking the tie and casting the deciding vote. Obama-Pelosi-Reid are now squeezing the Seniors even more by creating an environment where Medicare has been looted of half a trillion dollars, and Social Security recipients won’t receive a cost of living increase for at least two years (this year and next year) even though costs for everything for elderly folks on a fixed income are going up exponentially, including their Medicare costs, another Ponzi scheme into which they were forced to pay taxes. Meanwhile, Congress and the rest of the federal bureaucrats get automatic cost of living increases, a luxurious retirement plan, and a “Cadillac” health care plan, a portion of all of which is paid for by the taxes taken from those same Social Security recipients.
