Top Ground Zero Mosque Investor Made Contributions to Hamas (Video)

Now we know… One of the financial backers behind the Ground Zero Victory Mosque also donated money to the Hamas terrorist group.
Will Mayor Bloomberg defend this, too?
MyFOX NY: Fox 5 News reported Thursday that one of the financial backers of the Islamic mosque and cultural center project in Lower Manhattan once contributed to a terror group, although the investor says the contribution was made because he thought he was giving money to a harmless charity.

One of the key players in Sharif El-Gamal’s Mosque near Ground Zero is Egyptian born businessman, Hisham Elzanaty. Fox 5 News has learned exclusively and confirmed with Mr. Elzanaty’s attorney that Elzanaty made a “significant investment” in the development of the mosque near Ground Zero.
Fox 5 has also uncovered Elzanaty has teamed up with El-Gamal on at least two real estate deals: the controversial mosque site and another deal involving a commercial property in the Chelsea section of Manhattan…
Fox 5 News has also learned that in 1999 Hisham Elzanaty sent money to an organization that would later be deemed by the U.S. government to be a terrorist group.
The organization was the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, also known as HLF. The now defunct group’s 1999 tax records show Elzanaty contributed more than $6,000 to HLF.
Two years later, in 2001, HLF was shut down by the federal government and designated as a global terrorist. After a mistrial in 2007, in 2008 five HLF leaders were convicted of providing material support to Hamas.

Another jihadist organization with an innocent-sounding name is the Middle East Children’s Alliance. They are still a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, but I have no doubt that they promote terrorism and terrorist ideology.

REMEMBER, The Holy Land mosque that was raided in Dallas Texas?? In Richardson Texas after 9/11. It was funnelling monies to terrorist organizations. One of the donors was Teresa Heinz Kerry, John F-ing Kerry’s wife. I lived just a little ways away from this that is why it stuck in my brain. Generally about Islamic Charities: Really, there aern’t many that actually do what we call charity. Throwing a few coins once a week to beggars is charity, not helping them get a skill, a job, a place they can rent. Because of this, begging is quite an organized system in Islamic countries. Perhaps shockingly to Western eyes.
The Red Crescent is a ripoff from the Red Cross, it wouldn’t exist if the Red Cross hadn’t been the example and it is less effective and organized – a shadow of the real deal. It can be better than nothing in a disaster, but it’s really to keep that “cross” out of the Muslim areas. Can’t tolerate any competition.
Just too much of posing and posturing. The concept behind the Red Cross is to help people thru troubles, Islam assumes you deserve whatever troubles comes your way, fatalistic, so there isn’t much real compassion at all built into it. Individual people who identify as Muslims may have lots of personal compassion, but Islam doesn’t really let that express itself or convert it to action as Christianity does.
