Russ Feingold (D-WI) Claims There Was "Systematic Effort to Destroy Obama"

Far left Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) told the NY Times in an interview that there was a systematic effort to destroy Obama.
Sure there was, Russ.
If true, Obama led the effort.
His trillion dollar stimulus package failed.
Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi tripled the national deficit last year by nearly a trillion dollars – something unheard of in our nation’s history.
After an unheard of record deficit last year of $1.4 Trillion the economy is on track to experience a $1.3 Trillion deficit this year. Unemployment has nearly doubled since the Bush years.
The Hill reported:
Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) decried what he said was a “systematic, conscious” effort by groups to “destroy” President Obama.
Feingold, who’s facing a tough reelection effort this fall, blamed coordinated opposition to Obama and the Democratic agenda in Congress for some of the political and electoral woes facing his party this fall.
“A conscious decision was made by certain groups to destroy this presidency the minute it started,” Feingold said in a question-and-answer session with The New York Times published Tuesday evening.
“People say it was the healthcare bill — no, it wasn’t. I go to every county every year and hold a town meeting,” he added. “Within days of the president being sworn in, I had people showing up at my town meeting with hats on, with tea bags coming out, saying this is going to be socialism.”
Maybe, Bush was behind it, Russ?
That’s the ticket.
The amazing thing is, these radicals are absolutely incapable of understanding that the American people have rejected their destructive agenda.

Yes, I was definitely one who wrote Obama off early. I didn’t like his condescending attitude when he spoke and definitely saw how he holds to his promises when he blatantly broke with his written pledge to only take public financing for presidential campaign funding.
He lied even before he got the job and when he should have been on his best behavior as he was “courting” voters. We know how this type of person changes once they get what they want. He didn’t even disguise how he would lie using his “end justifies the means” methodology. He is a damn disgrace.

Russ, you should be pleased with how knowledgable your constituents are! They put in the time to actually research the history (what wasn’t hidden) of a candidate, and determined his socialist proclivities before he was even elected. Then they involved themselves actively in their community by communicating to you, their representative, that they wanted their voices heard — COMMENDABLE!
And now, almost 2 years later, as we journey ever closer to socialism, it sure seems like those people are being proven correct!

Obama and the Democratic Party bet nearly a trillion of our dollars that their Stimulus package would work. It consisted to a large degree of handouts to Democratic Party activists, donors, and labor unions. If the economy had rebounded and employment improved, they’d be looking toward midterms with eagerness instead of dread.
But their plan was stupid. We told them so, and we were right. It failed miserably and plunged us deeply into debt. In any line of work, that kind of debacle gets you fired.

Lets count up the days and the spending ‘issues’.
1) Right out of the gate, Obama cashed in 350 billion in funds from the second part of the TARP program. His first major visable use was to pay off his union cronies and squeeze out private investors, ignoring bankruptcy laws all the way, and federalize two car companies.
2) Obama was then magically presented a 850+ billion ‘stimulus’ bill he laughingly called a spending bill. This was one of Obama’s early demeaning attacks at his political critics. These kind of schoolyard name calling comments have shown the American people that Obama simply has no class.
3) Then Obama signed a bill for a major increase in the federal budget. This bill was sitting in congress for months as Pelosi had already been told that those 4000 ear marks and major spending increases in every ‘liberal’ federal department was going to be vetoed by Bush. This one Obama signed as far away from the press as he could get, and then later blamed Bush for the ear marks.
It was AFTER all of this, that the frst major wave of Tax Day / Tea Party protests happened. It was of course on April 15th!
Any politician that tries to blur these well documented, and easily verified events, needs to be called out as the dishonest political hack they truely are!

Obama is so unpopular with the electorate that few Democrats running for office this November will be asking him to appear on their behalf. Why? One possible explanation is that his administration is a disaster, on track to be the worst we have had since Herbert Hoover. But if the Left and the Democrats in Congress accept that explanation, they damn themselves because they supported, advocated, and approved what the Obama administration has done. Hence, there is a need for some other explanation, and a conspiracy theory is an easy way to fill this need.
