Spokesman Robert Gibbs today accused Newt Gingrich of nearing the fringe after suggesting that President Obama subscribes to “Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior.”
Via Politico:
From the Politico:
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is trying to gain the support of birthers by suggesting that President Obama subscribes to “Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday.
“I don’t even have — quite frankly, George — the slightest idea what he’s talking about,” Gibbs told George Stephanopoulos. “I think Newt Gingrich knows that he’s trying to appeal to the fringe of people that don’t believe the president was born in this country. You would normally expect better from somebody who held the position of speaker of the House.”
Maybe the White House ought to look in the mirror…
Barack Obama, of course, is the most radical far left president in US history.
Newt Gingrich added this yesterday: “Obama Spoke Out Against Koran Burning, He Should Speak Out Against Mosque”

Doesn’t matter where Obama was born – his father was NOT a U.S. citizen.
JR commented:
I think where Newt is going with this does make some sense, may explain some of obamao’s decision-making, but it takes a little more knowledge about obamao’s background than is typically known. I believe this relates to obamao’s grandfather’s history in British-colonial Kenya, when gramps was apparently part of the resistance. Gramps passed along the concept that imperialistic British rule is evil, and representative of the U.S.’s now imperialistic world view.
down with dems commented:
I was unaware that Kenyans are anti-colonial, but that doesn’t mean he’s saying anything about Obama’s birth. If Newt said “Obama likes Chinese food” would he be saying Obama was actually born in China? No. Obama thinks the US should shut up, and withdraw its influence from around the globe, so everyone else can play on the newly leveled playing field, which could be described as anti-colonialism.
We have too much, we use too much, we’re holding others back… they’d be able to raise themselves up if not for us. That’s your president, and that’s what Newt was saying.
down with dems commented:
And for everyone who has wondered/asked/complained about why Obama won’t release his birth certificate, here’s yet another example. He claims something on it will embarass him, but also as long as it’s locked away they can trot out this argument to use against any opponent that says something even slightly tangential to Obama’s birth. They keep the birth certificate in the same pocket with the race card.
nelli commented:
Gibbs oughta be careful ascribing motives to Gingrich. Newt could shred him like a stack of incriminating documents— with the dull side of his tongue.
Sasja commented:
Apparently they haven’t read Dinesh D’Souza’s article in Forbes.

Even in Kenya they would not beleive Sheik Obama

“Well”, says Gibbs with uncertain certainty, “I don’t even have the slightest idea what he’s talking about, but he is without a doubt a birther, a racist, a bigot, a XXXXX-aphobe….”

tarpon commented:
When your father is a Kenyan, you are not native born. Simple as that … And dreams of my communist father is exactly what the Obama is play acting.
olm commented:
Gibbs is such a tool. And a fool to engage Newt.
Pass the popcorn. I am no fan of Newt but Gibbs is a mental midget compared to the former speaker.
joscefi commented:
Convieniently forgotten is the fact that then Senator Obama was one of the co-sponsors for Senate Resolution 511, a resolution recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a “natural born citizen”, under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States.
Yet his even more questionable claim to “natural born citizenship” is something that only appeals to an implied lunatic fringe?
mike gunderson commented:
Newt Gringrich’s birth certificate is the one that should be checked out. Obviously he is from the outer fringes of the twilight zone. He also lacks the guts to say he is a racist at heart. By the way, just what does the term anti-colonial mean? Isn’t it something better than colonalism?
Khan Krum commented:
Me-chelle Antoinette publically stated *twice* that al-Bama’s home country is Kenya, so why is everyone’s panties in a wad?

Khan Krum commented:
With regard to Me-chelle Antoinette’s claim that Barack’s home country is Kenya, I would like to ask Mr. Gunderson and others what does she mean when she says this? To me when I hear it it sounds like she’s saying that he was born there. What else could she possibly mean?
Jeff commented:
anti-colonial is better than colonial … so why is Obama accusing the US of being colonial ? We have never been except in the minds of grievance mongers who want to destroy America …
bigL commented:
Not mutually exclusive. I could subscribe to a anti-colonialist view of politics and support a kenyan type rule for a country, but that does not mean I am a foreigner or that I am not an American citizen…
Me thinks they protesteth too mucheth…
gus commented:
Mike Gunderson, it’s really all the difficult a question.
Anti-colonialism, means AGAINST COLONIALISM.
Did I clear that up for you dimwit?
You brought race into the conversation because you were too stupid to debate Gingrich. You chose the easy cheap path. LIBTARDS ALWAYS DO.
Why did Obama give Britain back it’s gift to America post 9/11. Obama gave back the bust of Churchill because Opies drunk Daddy didn’t like the British. Anti-colonial.
Khan Krum commented:
I asked above why Me-chelle Antoinette would publically claim *twice* that al-Bama’s home country is Kenya:

Since there are no answers I suggest that there are two possible answers:
1. Barack Hussein was actually born in Kenya. I think that an overwhelming majority use the term ‘home country’ to mean their country of birth, i.e., their native land.
2. Me-chelle Antoinette claims this because it gives her more street cred with her America-hating left-wing audience. She’s maxing out her identity politics card by adding African-born to their existing and indisputable membership in our most favored identity group.
EITHER WAY, IT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED.
Follow the law commented:
The D-Souze piece in FORBES magazine was very, VERY compelling. I’m glad that Gingrich, unlike Gibbs, obviously, is well read.

Obama has explained it clearly… the dreams that he is attempting to make manifest are FROM his father ( a Kenyan ) not OF his father. You’d think Gibbs would have a clue about this. First indication was returning the bust of the imperialist Churchill, then insulting the queen and prime minister of Britain. They weren’t accidental actions of a novice.
shibumi commented:
Well, when you make insane emotional libtard views your “normal” I can certainly see how logical conservative views seem “fringe.”
Joanne commented:
Yah Gibbs won’t provide Americans with a Long-Form Birth Certificate to see, yet he disses people who want proof of Obama’s birth in the U.S. These people are so blatantly stupid, it is sickening.
SandyfromChesterfield commented:
Robert “Fibbs” needs to read CRIMES UNDER LIBERTY by David Limbaugh who clearly explains obama’s anti-colonialism behavior.
Rose commented:
WEIRD to call him something usually reserved for Conservatives, since Gingrich is a RINO pro-Shamnesty, pro-Global Warning regulations and Cap and Trade, et al, Pro Abortion, serial adulterer – sounds like a Dim Marxist to ME!
