Barack Obama attacked House Republican leader John Boehner today in Ohio.
…Over and over and over again.
Never mind the fact that Republicans weren’t able to block any of the radical Obama-Pelosi policies this past year.
Barack Obama also told supporters today that the US can’t afford not to raise taxes.
…Especially after his disastrous policies.
Obama is the worst jobs president since the Great Depression. The Obama-Pelosi economic plan resulted in a cumulative 7.5 million jobs deficit. By every objective measure the democrat’s Trillion dollar stimulus bomb was a complete disaster.
Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi tripled the national deficit last year by nearly a trillion dollars – something unheard of in our nation’s history.

After an unheard of record deficit last year of $1.4 Trillion the economy is on track to experience a $1.3 Trillion deficit this year.
Instead of focusing on the economy the past two years the radicals in Washington beat up on business and rammed through an unpopular nationalized health care entitlement program.
Now Obama wants to raise taxes.
The AP reported:
President Barack Obama strongly defended his opposition to extending Bush-era tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans on Wednesday and delivered a searing attack on Republicans and their House leader for advocating “the same philosophy that led to this mess in the first place.”
Obama said the struggling U.S. economy can’t afford to spend $700 billion to keep lower tax rates in place for the nation’s highest earners despite a call by House Minority Leader John Boehner and other GOP leaders to do just that.
Speaking in the same city where Boehner, an Ohio Republican, recently ridiculed Obama’s economic stewardship, Obama said Boehner’s policies amount to no more than “cut more taxes for millionaires and cut more rules for corporations.”
Obama’s comments came as the administration rolled out new proposals designed to re-ignite a sputtering recovery, including new tax breaks for businesses and $50 billion for U.S. roads, rails and airports.
“Let me be clear to Mr. Boehner and everyone else. We should not hold middle class tax cuts hostage any longer,” the president said. The administration “is ready this week to give tax cuts to every American making $250,000 or less,” he said.

Boehner has free publicity, though. He should imake the most of every second of it – introduce himself every interview as “Republican John “Cut Taxes, Save Jobs” Boehner or “Republican John “Save the doctors” Boehner … etc etc.
We KNOW how these people operate, get savvy!

Let me be clear, Mr. Obama, the Demoncrats have controlled the purse strings since January 2007, setting the stage for the mess we are currently experiencing. The Demoncrats have been and continue to drive the car off a cliff (since you are so fond of using the car metaphor in your lectures…I mean, speeches). And as for the Republicans not having any proposals–Boehner just proposed something that makes sense, yet you are fully against it. I’m tired of hearing your whining, blaming, self-serving twerpy voice. Quit blaming Bush–you’ve owned this economy since Jan. 2007 (remember, you were supposed to be a member of Congress then).

When in difficulty, Obama falls back on what he knows best – Alinsky’s Rules.
As the favored villain, George Bush is no longer useful. They tried, to poor results. They’d love to make the midterms about Palin but that would be a hard sell since she’s not running, and it would increase her standing post-election. They’re going to have enough trouble with her as it is.
So Boehner’s their new villain of choice, and probably will be for the next couple of years. They’ll try to slander the next Speaker into irrelevance, as democrats did with Newt Gingrich.
One problem with this strategy is that it works best for radical outsiders versus status-quo insiders. It may not work as well when the roles are reversed.

I started listening to his speech touted as “big news” and as soon as he started talking to me about the economy from 2000-2008, I switched the channel. Later I went to the movies.
Clinton was president in 2000 when a recession started after the dot com bust, the end of the milking of Y2K work, and irrational exuberance.
I saw videotape later where Obama basically said we didn’t need to repeat the mistakes that got us where we are today with the Republicans in charge for the last decade. Really?
Bush had two full terms for eight years. Where does a decade in charge come from, Mr. High Level Math?
As far as the houses of Congress, let’s look at who’s been in charge over at least part of this past decade, since clearly Obama has got amnesia on history over the last 10 yeats.
Many people forget that Tom Daschle was the Senate majority leader, a Democrat, from 2001-2003. And, Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, both Democrats were (and still are) majority leaders in Congress from 2007-2008 and going on four years now. And Obama, now amazing elected president despite logic and common sense, was also in the US Senate from 2007-2008 and quit his job to be president. The House does the spending bills. So, Nancy Pelosi and his minions have been treating Americans to a losing path for almost four years now.
Thanks, Obama, for the history lesson on the economy. Now get your guilty parties correct and you might be onto something. Don’t lecture us on the Republicans being in charge for the last decade. BS. And don’t tell us that the Republicans have no new ideas. So what? How about using old ideas that actually work rather than the old ideas you and the Democrats are using that are not helping.
Obama is a damn disgrace.

Jivemaster said something like: “There were fewer jobs created between 2000 and 2008 under George Bush than during any previous recovery.”
The key word here is “previous.” Since 2008, there has been a jive recovery during which millions of jobs have been lost.
At least jobs were created during that recovery. Bush didn’t need to lie about a bogus stat called “jobs saved” and he didn’t need to steal a trillion dollars of private wealth to get the economy going after a double-whammy — the collapse of the dot-com bubble followed by 9/11.

couldn’t help but to laugh. i know it’s a bit childish to be burning the koran and resorting to impish methods to provoke the Mohammedans, but there’s another part of me that also wants a little eye for an eye. we’ve sat back and watched our religion and our nation be defamed, pissed and crapped upon (literally) by the leftist fascists in the name of tolerance–seriously.
so if burning a koran shows a bunch of backwards, 12th century mohammedan fascists that America still stands for freedom of speech and ,most importantly, freedom from religion, than to hell with them, burn baby burn.

Your chart is misleading in an important way. It looks as if the surplus peaked and as soon as Bush took over it started down. THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. But that is the way the Demonicrats try to sell the idea: Clinton created the surplus, Bush created the deficit. The Demonicrats are lying, as always.
The surplus peaked in 1999 (30 Sep, the end of the fiscal year) and was down by half in 2000 while Clinton was still in office. The Clinton surplus was down by half in Sep 2000 because the Dot.com Bubba Bubble popped in January 2000, one solid year before Clinton left office. The NASDAQ fell $2.5 trillion during Clinton’s last year in office, signalling the start of what could have been a disastrous recession. But Bush took the proper corrective actions and the Bubba Recession was uncomonly mild, with unemployment advancing to only 6.1%.
A vertical line on your graph at the end of year 2000 would graphically and correctly show when the surplus started down on Clinton’s watch.

This is exactly what Reid is saying. This mob of Democrats blames the people for all their problems.
Even ordinary Democrats know that they are hurting because of Obama and Harry Reid. So lying to people just makes the Dems look like total jerks.
