My, what a difference 12 hours of reflection and millions of outraged supporters will have on a political organization.

Last night the National Republican Senatorial Campaign (NRSC) told FOX News that they would not donate to Christine O’Donnell’s campaign after her landslide win over RINO favorite Mike Castle. They must have received a few phone calls… Today the NRSC very publicly announced that they were sending O’Donnell a $42,000 check this morning.
From the NRSC website, via Free Republic:
“Let there be no mistake: The National Republican Senatorial Committee – and I personally as the committee’s chairman – strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine O’Donnell in Delaware.
“I reached out to Christine this morning, and as I have conveyed to all of our nominees, I offered her my personal congratulations and let her know that she has our support. This support includes a check for $42,000 – the maximum allowable donation that we have provided to all of our nominees – which the NRSC will send to her campaign today.
“We remain committed to holding Democrat nominee New Castle County Executive Chris Coons accountable this November, as we inform voters about his record of driving his county to the brink of bankruptcy and supporting his party’s reckless spending policies in Washington.
“In the weeks ahead, we will decide where to best allocate additional financial resources among the large number of competitive races at stake this November. While it’s not in Republicans’ interest to advertise our spending strategy to our opponents, it’s worth noting that just yesterday, the NRSC’s first independent expenditure ad aired in support of Dr. Rand Paul’s campaign in Kentucky, where we firmly believe that he will win in November.
They need to start taking their own advice.

How lame RNC. I still will never support you. Donations locally is where its at. Never support national parties.
Militant Conservative commented:
Post one you are correct. Give to the candidate directly and do not support power broakers. They’ll whither on the vine. LOL powder is dry and WE have the power.

Good advice StandUp4Chuck. No one likes a weasel!

NRSC is full of cowards who continue to feed at the trough of their entrenched incumbants. They behave no differently than their counterparts.

It’s time for the hostile takeover of the RNC!!!
Are you listening?
Faye commented:
Sure hope O’Donnell runs with this; “the old establishment was against me before they were for me” line. She can claim that she will not be a lap dog for the establishment and will represent Delaware and not a political party. Can her democrat opponent say the same thing? Will he vote the party line against the better interest of Delaware?
StandUp4Chuck commented:
Wow, O’Donnell was aiming for $50K raised today which has now turned into $350K and still going. Amazing what happens when you kick a hornets nest. RNC are you watching? Get your head out of your a$$.
Jack commented:
Did Cornyn pull his head out of his butt on his own? I don’t think so! It was pressure from the Tea Party Patriots-period. Chalk up another victory. I totally agree that we need to donate directly to the candidates and screw the establishment.
Rock commented:
I’m with 1 thru 4. The RNC can go pound sand, they will have to do a lot better before they get my support. Their true colors where exposed last night.
Dave in dallas commented:
Take their money, but citizens, do NOT send rnc or rnsc another feckin’ NICKEL! Donate to the candidates, stay informed about important races, give til it hurts but NOT to natl. Repubs. Their instincts are NO GOOD!
Elmo commented:
I’ve stood behind Michael Steele (loud and proud), many times. We need to hear from you Sir. If ya can’t work up the spit for Karl … lemme know? (I got plenty). Haven’t been keepin track of any of the (inside the) beltway (stanky) nonsense. But we’ve got 48 days, to save the greatest gift ever known. And we could use some help, Sir.

Christine – send it back – with a nice note of course!
To the NSRC – “How’s that crow taste?” I’m sure it’s better than the rat butts you’ve been kissing.
Momma commented:
The RNC is insulting. They couldn’t hear this train coming? I will NEVER give another cent to them. In fact, I’m looking forward to the phone call from the RNC asking me for my donation. No thanks, its going directly to the candidate. And Karl Rove, you don’t play nice, its time for you to take a time out! A real long time out.
sandy commented:
Rush said this morning that if everyone of his listeners gave $1.00 to O’Donnell she wouldn’t need NRSC money.
She is now down by only 11% since last night and Rush said he’s firmly behind her. Thats a winner right there. Now Romney has endorsed O’Donnell. Watch the dominoes fall. As far as this Delaware Republican Party Chairman is concerned perhaps the National Party needs have a long talk with him. If you want to win –then you support the winner.
In the words of Ronald Reagan — The 11th Commandment is that you never speak ill of another Republican.

So this is what a peaceful revolution looks/feels like. Your enemies are afraid and unsure of your next move, the spies within your Castle walls are swinging from lamp posts (figuratively). We do not brag or puff out our chest, we reach out to those led astray and offer them safe harbor next to our bosoms. To continue to oppose us is to place your own severed head on a pike.
Kevin P commented:
Here’s the primary results: http://www.politico.com/2010/maps/
And just think – how many of those who voted for Castle were fear votes – those who bought into the “there’s no way O’Donnell can win” philosophy pushed by the establishment.

I stopped giving to the RNC when they stopped being the Republican National Committee and became the RINO National Committee. Seriously, McCain was the best you could do? Voting in ’08 left a bad taste in my mouth.

I wish the NRSC wouldn’t support RINOs. This 42k is a waste of money.
But is there any evidence they said they wouldn’t support her yesterday? That came from the same sources that said that Castle Impeached Bush, was gay, etc…. in other words, BS anonymous crap.
I’m pretty sure the NRSC hasn’t backtracked, but the Tea Party Express is run by lying thugs. It’s a good thing they aren’t really the Tea Party. we will see why when the Tea Party BEATS O’DONNELL! The people don’t want leaders like her.

First thing first,
Radegunda, they’re wanting you back at the Daily Kook website.
Also, I learned that George H. Bush back Castle. That’s a shocker. (sarcasm)
Next, don’t fall for this “we’re backing O’Donnell” crap from the RNC, and the NRSC. They’re only doing this to save their rear ends. They’re also doing this because they think you’re stupid, and will view this as a “all is forgiven” moment.
Make no mistake about it, the RNC, and the NRSC will not help O’Donnell in production, and marketing of tv, and radio ads. They also won’t help her in a “get out the vote” campaign.
The RNC, NRSC, Collins, Snowe, McCain, Graham, Gingrich, Bush, and Rove are not R.I.N.O.’s. Nope, not at all.
They are Dinosaurs.

A RINO is just a big-government liberal lying about who he or she is.
I see my senator, George Rinovich, just folded a GOP filibuster in order to give Obama a legislative victory. That’s your Clueless Party in action. Rinovich will probably cry publicly later over the O’Donnell election. Good riddance to this turd. I’ve had to tolerate the Dumbo-eared crybaby as a mayor, governor and now a senator.
Finally…FINALLY, some of the pundits are beginning to acknowledge what I’ve been saying about compassionate dope George W. Bush for eight years: He’s not a conservative; he’s a big-government liberal member of the entrenched Beltway establishment, not the soft-spoken, conservative cowboy that the Medveds, Hewitts, Gallaghers and countless other cartoon conservatives portrayed him as being.
Cartoon consevatives are as unreal as compassionate conservatives. The cartoon conservatives have been nothing other than shills for the GOP establishment.
kato commented:
I used to get requests for contributions about every two weeks (dressed up as phony surveys, as if Steele and the Clueless Party care about my opinions).
I enclosed in the postage-paid envelope a short note saying that I was a Reagan Republican, now I’m an ex-Republican. Take me off your mailing list.
It took about eight times, but I haven’t gotten a single piece of GOP mail for over six months. This despite the fact that I am still a registered Republican.
I won’t send them a penny. And my days of voting for RINOs by default are over.

We’re already living through this in CO. In August we had our primaries – nearly 400,000 Republican voters turned out. The winner of the primary in the Governor’s race was Dan Maes. A businessman and not a politician, and a favorite of the tea party and liberty groups.
Enter Tom Tancredo, professional politician who changed his republican affiliation of 40+ yrs. to run at the last minute under a tiny 3rd party with only a few thousand registered voters – without any campaigning or vetting by the voters. His entire campaign is focused on personally destroying a good man, and splitting the vote of the conservatives, giving the Governor’s office to an extremely socialist liberal candidate.
The state’s GOP has abandoned Dan Maes, the RGA has abandoned Dan Maes, and the similarities between his campaign and O’Donnell’s are striking.
Elections don’t matter – the elites think they should run this government. And they’re panicking that we’re wising up and taking our government back. Rove’s meltdown last night is opening a lot of eyes.

I agree with no more to RNC. Sent O’Donnell money last week. We may not win it all this “cycle” but if the RINO’s don’t “get” it this year, 2012 is looming. PS…I know one Dem (cornhusker kickback) Senator that will not be re-elected in 2012.
