New Low For Boy Wonder… Obama Approval Sinks to 42%

That seems a little high, huh?
Obama’s approval rating reached a new low today.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 24% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 (see trends).
Maybe if he quit lashing out at greedy businesses and the stock market that would help.
Despite what his gut might be telling him, Americans don’t want a Hugo Chavez as president.

Speaking of Moochelle…….isn’t her mother living in the whitehouse too——I presume on us??? And, doesn’t she like to frequent Las Vegas……most likely on our dime??? I’m not as concerned about his approval numbers since both Clinton and Reagan were lower in their first terms. What I AM interested in, is how this November turns out. That will be telling.

42% is not a “new low” but merely matches the previous record set on 5/25/2010. Drudge made the same mistake. The approval index record still stands at 22% (5/26/2010).

I have to wonder if the October Surprise isn’t that Obama will continue the Bush tax cuts and delay implementation of Healthcare due to an economy in free fall. Anyone normal would do that and by working with Republicans for the next two years he could stand a chance of being re-elected. But this is Obama so its probably full speed ahead over the cliff.

So with 43 percent strongly disapproving, the poll would indicate that only an additional twenty percent more of americans weakly disapprove of Obama; whereas double the number of those who strongly approve Obama, weakly approve of his performance. Or ninety percent of Obama disapprovers, disapprove of him strongly, but only fifty percent of those who support Obama, support him strongly. This approval polling just doesn’t sound kosher to me.

Imo, the most important number noteworthy here is the “strongly disapprove.” It has been steadily climbing up and up. Once you strongly disapprove, that’s saying something right there. Obumbles isn’t likely to win back those who are already clearly out of his camp and staying there. The fence sitters and wishy washy “not sure/undecideds” don’t express feelings that way. To have your strongly disapproves going up as his have been doing is great. America has awakened…some more slowly than others, but yes, it’s happening.

it’s been up and down, and difficult to say there is a definite downward trend. I have been tracking one month, two month, and three month averages. All 3 are the about the closest they have ever been to each other. The two-month average has been around the same for the last three weeks: -16.38 to -16.54, ad as high as -16.22 during that time.
