More bad news for the big government “war is lostcut-and-runners

Far left Senator Barack Obama once said that genocide would not be a reason to keep US troops in Iraq. Unfortunately for this Iraq War-basher, most Americans disagree.

A vast majority of Americans now understand that the Iraqi people are better off today than they were under mass murderer Saddam Hussein…
And, they give George W. Bush the credit.

Here is more on the latest FOX News poll:

Despite its contentious history, most American voters appear to have made a positive judgment about the country’s efforts in Iraq. Almost six in 10 (58 percent) voters think, overall, the United States “did the right thing” by going to war, according to the latest Fox News poll.

A little over one-third of voters (35 percent) take the opposite view — that the U.S. “did the wrong thing” by becoming involved militarily in Iraq. From a partisan perspective, there is still division — as 54 percent of Democrats think the U.S. did the wrong thing in Iraq, while only 14 percent of Republicans feel the same way. A slim majority of independents (52 percent) think the U.S. did the right thing in Iraq…

An even larger share of voters (71 percent) expresses some level of agreement with the view that the Iraqi people are better off today because of the U.S.-led action
, while 19 percent disagree.

There is somewhat less partisan difference on this issue, as 58 percent of Democrats agree Iraqis are better off after U.S. involvement. Both Republicans (91 percent) and independents (65 percent), express higher levels of agreement.

  1. This poll is just more evidence of what the American people REALLY FEEL. Obama can spin and lie all he wants – the TRUTH always prevails. Bush and our military deserve our thanks and honor. God bless all of them and thanks for a job well done.

  2. of course, because the vast majority of Americans simply do not like and have little sympathy for losers.

    Plain. and. simple.

  3. [Chances are, however, our armed forces will be back in Iraq sooner rather than later, fighting the same enemies of freedom, dying for the same real estate and trying to win back the hearts and minds of the people Mr. Obama has betrayed just so he could keep his campaign promise.] i hoped we could put the ghost of vietnam to rest.

  5. Additionally, the majority of Iraqis want the US troops to stay.

They’re smarter than the avergae dimkrat. They know what it’s like to be butchered by the guys with whom the libs always side.

  6. The interesting thing about Iraq is that nobody seems to give a damn about the Christians there and how they are still oppressed and often have to fear for their lives.

It’s all about Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds. Always about the muselmaniacs.

  7. God bless you President George W. Bush, the greatest president in american history. obama couldn’t carry your jock strap.

  8. I’m glad this poll did not include stupid canuks.

  9. I’ll repeat what I said yesterday: It is too soon to declare that this war was a success.

(Don’t confuse this kato with Kato above.)

  10. I agree with kato and squeeky…we’ll have to go back in to suppress another insurgency. I think the Obama regime was so hell bent on getting us the hell out of there that we will have more outbreaks of insurgency, because counterinsurgencies simply usually last longer, and only because of resolute victors willing to stick around for forever if necessary. Deadlines for withdrawal are the products of military imbeciles and our enemies just aren’t that stupid. Above all, the problem lies in islam itself—I just don’t think it’s compatible with democratic republics, freedom, and capitalism in the western sense, and it simply must be crushed into something pacifist like we had to do with Shinto. I hope I’m wrong.
