More Hope and Change…
You’ve just gotta love this. Democrats are now running to Bush to help them with their elections.
Dem Rep. Earl Pomeroy, who voted with Pelosi 97% of the time, is now running a pro-Bush ad in North Dakota.
Amy Walter at ABC’s The Note reported:
We’ve seen plenty of Democrats in tight races trying to distance themselves from President Obama. But one Democrat, North Dakota’s Rep. Earl Pomeroy, is taking this a step farther by actually embracing President George W. Bush.
Pomeroy is locked in what’s shaping up to be the toughest contest of his 17-year House career. He faces GOP state Rep. Rick Berg…
…In his latest ad, Pomeroy goes a step further, highlighting his support for the Bush prescription drug plan which he says Berg would “roll back.”
The ad opens with a bill signing featuring President Bush while a woman’s voice says, “When George Bush proposed a Medicare prescription drug plan, Earl Pomeroy voted yes, putting seniors before party.. Rick Berg would roll back prescription drug coverage.”
To be sure, Pomeroy sits in one of the most Republican states in the country. McCain carried North Dakota with 53 percent of the vote. And, his campaign notes that this ad was in response to an earlier ad by the GOP that attacked him for voting with Speaker Nancy Pelosi 97 percent of the time.
Now, that is funny.

Dem congress got caught up in the hope-n-change. They are Kamakazi pilots and Obama is the Emporer. He taught them how to take off and fly but he never gave them a place to land. He sacraficed the congress and could care less. Crash you commies, crash hard.

Ol’ Earl, it seems, knows how to buy your votes…”Wanna freebie? — I’m your man.” Go home, Earl, you and others like you have bandrupted America.
Check out an outstanding young candidate who’s running in Arizona to replace a really awful Dem congressman. She’s Ruth McClung – physicist, conservative and fiscally responsible. Michelle Malkin’s featuring her today – guess her favorables are moving up – so hope this’ll help her out even more.

And Earl happens to choose one of the least popular “Bush” programs as far as conservatives are concerned. Lame!

@greg – that’s no coincidence, he picked the most budget-busting, lobbyist-fattening, big government program that Bush came up with, as the one he likes the most.
It’s not a coincidence that he’s running to Bush, either – this election is GOP + Democrat political elites vs. everybody else.

One mistake with the ad.
The part of the ad where the voice over talks about how Earl Pomeroy voted for having background checks on daycare providers, it shows a shady looking guy lighting up a cigarette and then shows the children.
Instead of showing the shady looking guy lighting a cigarette, the commercial should have shown a picture of Safe School Czar Kevin Jennings. That would be spot on.

Despite having voted for R’s in the last five presidential elections by an average of 16.5 points, the last time North Dakota was represented by a Republican in Congress (either chamber) was 1986.
Earl Pomeroy’s ACU ratings for ’07, ’08, and ’09 were 4, 4, and 8.
Sadly, Rasmussen had Berg only up by three in their last poll of this race.

Oh, thank you Anita, for posting that link — hard to keep a dry eye reading it.
And I sure needed to be reminded of what I love about Bush after this post’s reminder of one of his mistakes.

For the past 20 months the Socialist party has done everything but shoot Bush and now they figure out that America doesn’t like where the Socialist President is taking us and they cozy up to the former president, go figure!

You should see ol’ Patty Murry’s ads running in Washington state….I saved a hospital and 1500 jobs, I voted against taxes, I voted for veterans, blah, blah, blah. What Ms. Murry hopes that everyone forgets is that she voted for Obamacare, cap and trade, believes in green jobs and globel warming, voted to cut benefits to veterans and help many a person lose their jobs with her support of Obummers stimulas packages. She also is helping with the support a state tax. Every demorat should be dumped as well as those RINO’s who thought they could slide on by on the repub ticket. It would be entertaining if it was not so scary.
