Horrible. Far Left Fabricates Maid Sob Story to Smear Meg Whitman

Horrible. The democratic-media complex today, led by ABC News and the LA Times, smeared Republican Gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman with a disgusting and dishonest sob story.
Unfortunately for the far left, Meg Whitman kept the maid’s application from 2000 where she claimed she would work in the US legally.
ABC News led the smear:
California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman today found herself battling allegations that she knowingly employed an undocumented immigrant housekeeper, failed to pay a portion of her wages and then fired her in an act of political damage control.
The charges come a little over a month before the November election.
At a news conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday organized by celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, Whitman’s former housekeeper and nanny, Nicky Diaz, tearfully recounted how in June 2009 she was suddenly terminated by Whitman and her husband, Griffith Harsh, after she said she asked the couple for legal help to obtain U.S. citizenship. Allred also alleged that Whitman became aware of Diaz’s undocumented status years earlier, but took no action.
But, of course, the charge against Whitman was completely fabricated.
Meg Whitman produced documents that prove that this maid lied on her application for employment years earlier.
TMZ.com has copies of the documents.
The documents, which Whitman claims Nicky filled out and signed back in 2000 during her application for employment, appear to show that the maid stated under the penalty of perjury that she was a “lawful permanent resident” of the United States.
Whitman also claims Nicky provided her with a social security card and valid California Driver’s License with her employment application … which Meg kept and has now handed over to TMZ.
Whitman has also issued a statement on the matter, saying … “After 9 years of faithful service, Nicky came to us in June 2009 and confessed that she was an illegal worker.” Whitman continues, “Nicky has falsified the hiring documents and personal information she provided to the employment agency that brought her to us in 2000.”
And, Whitman continues, “I believe Nicky is being manipulated by Gloria Allred for political and financial purposes during the last few weeks of a hotly contested election.”

This isn’t the first time that Allred has pulled a stunt like this as a last-minute attempt to sway the voters.
Since Whitman has documents that any other employer has on file, Allred’s (and no doubt the CA Dems) attempts will backfire.

Since this illegals worked as a maid in Whitman’s house, I’m pretty sure she was the one picking up the mail as part of her job.
What if she picked up the mail one day for their house and saw a letter from ICE or USIS ( which may have contained info on her illegal / criminal status ) and then out of loyalty to her LaRaza and good life, never gave that letter to her bosses ? I don’t think Whitmans are so stupid that they’ll get such a letter from authorities and they’ll not take it seriously.
This woman is a fraud and leech for money. So is Allred .

Allred was on Hugh Hewitt, she hung up on him because he asked her what the law was regarding the incident. She either didn’t know or wouldn’t answer. Me thinks that she needs her law license looked at.

In what universe does the argument “I lied and said I was legal but I’m really illegal, so therefore the person to whom I lied, from whom I gained employment, and who did not uncover my lie should be punished” hold water???
In Arizona, the left argues you can’t ask for proof of citizenship. In California, if you don’t prove your illegal maid is illegal and that her fake documents are fake, YOU are the one in trouble–that is, if you’re a Republican candidate for elected office. Talk about having your cake and eating it too.
If there’s nothing wrong with illegals, if we’re not supposed to make it a “them and us” issue (per Obama), then what’s so bad about Whitman hiring an illegal? The left should be praising her. They want to give this maid amnesty, so what’s so bad about her working for Whitman?
If illegal immigration is bad, if ID forging is bad, then Whitman is a victim.
Either way, you have a self-admitted illegal. If you confess to any other crime, you suffer the punishment. Polygamists want a tv show, they get investigated. Maid admits she’s illegal, she should be deported, along with any other illegals related to her.

The nanny lied and said she was legal when she was not and when she revealed that she was illegal they fired her.

Whitman has angered lots of people with her position on EVerify. She has said that, because the system produces 10% false positives and 10% false negatives, that it is too flawed for her to back in its current form.
So, if she got a no-match letter from Social Security, she could well have assumed that it was flawed as well.

Malkin’s (and Hot Air) information is incorrect. The SSA only sends ECORDs out in cases of multiple (more than 10) errors per employer. Alred’s claim of having a “miss match” letter to the Whitmans is false.

Basically, what you have is a political extortion racket going on. As well as someone who deliberately forged identification documents–I assume you go to prison for a few years for that.

It is amazing that this come up at this time. I wonder how much the founder of Code Pink had to so with this. She has worked politically for Jerry Brown on more than one occasion. The fact that the founder of Code Pink and Jerry Brown have ties going back in the past ought to scare all California. By the way Meg Whitman was paying the illegal maid $23 hr. Not bad for a illegal is it. I bet so did complain since it is more than so could get in her Communist country. I wonder how much the Progressives and the Communist are paying her now.
