If ever you needed proof that the state-run media only speaks for the hard core radical left in this country here it is…

The democratic-media complex is now comparing anti-Ground Zero Victory Mosque sentiment to the Japanese internment camps during World War II. This is despite the fact that 71% of liberal New Yorkers are against building the victory mosque.
Sadly, this is not satire.
Rachel Zoll at the Associated Press wrote this:
In recent months, mosques in Tennessee, California, New York and elsewhere have been shot at and vandalized. Threatening messages were left at one mosque. A Florida pastor caused a global uproar with his ultimately unfulfilled threat to make a bonfire of Qurans on Sept. 11.
Many Jewish, Roman Catholic, mainline Protestant, evangelical, atheist and other groups have responded with an outpouring of support for Muslims, but suspicion remains high among many Americans.
Islamic centers have become a focus of non-Muslim fears. Federal authorities have placed informants in mosques, saying doing so is a critical counterterrorism tool. Muslim groups have separately created national campaigns encouraging congregations to monitor for any sign of radicalization, but they have also complained bitterly about the use of informants, worried the innocent will be caught up in the net police have set for criminals.
Akbar Ahmed, professor of Islamic studies at American University, found a wide range of mosques — from literalist to modernist to mystical — while researching his book, “Journey Into America, The Challenge of Islam.” He said many mosques are engaged in internal struggles between Muslims with rigid and modernist views, but he found none that fit the imaginings of anti-Muslim conspiracy theorists.
Historians, and several Muslim leaders, see similarities to the prejudice Roman Catholics and Jews experienced as newcomers to America starting in the 19th century. The hierarchical Catholic church was denounced as a threat to the separation of church and state. Synagogues were banned in many states, and Jews were viewed as undermining the nation’s Christian character.
Mark Silk, director of the Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life at Trinity College in Connecticut, said the experience of Japanese Americans in World War II more closely parallels the current plight of Muslims. After the Pearl Harbor bombing, Silk said Americans asked, “Are our Japanese different from those Japanese?”
“I don’t think we’re about to round up all the Muslims and put them in concentration camps,” Silk said. “But I don’t think we’ve ever seen the degree of legitimacy given by people in positions of authority to straight-up, anti-Islamic expression.”
The Muslim Public Affairs Council, a Los Angeles-based advocacy group, blames bigotry on “a small cottage industry” that foments prejudice on the Web and elsewhere. These organizations have dramatically expanded their reach since 2001 through social media, and have made celebrities of Muslim converts to Christianity who disparage Islam as thoroughly violent.
“The reality is that there are very well-funded initiatives to spread misinformation about Islam,” said Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America, an umbrella group for thousands of Muslims. “For the Muslim community, we are finding ourselves so stretched. We’re a young community.”

It’s all your fault. If you stupid Islamophobes would have kept your mouths shut about that Ground Zero Victory Mosque, the AP wouldn’t be forced to lecture you on tolerance.

AP had another article out as well about how the “moderate” muslims in the US were getting frustrated because the web videos put out by CAIR just weren’t making us all buy into that religion of peace thing. AP had to include a line about since those messages were made by those with a heavy accent, it wouldn’t work anyway in our anti-immigrant mood.
But remember, there is no media bias.

When all the leftie media hacks wake up on Nov.3rd they might realize that maybe they shouldn’t have made such an issue out of opposition to the GZM.
Calling 7 out 10 people a racist, arsonist and a vandal is no way to win an election.

The liberals are little more than a bunch of pampered cry babies. Despite their much vaunted elitist and self proclaimed higher education, they seem to have little grasp or comprehension of the reality of Japenese internment camps or nazism. The problem with liberals is they don’t nor ever have lived in the real world.
Frank Huber commented:
Actually, this internment camp thing doesn’t seem all that far-fetched to me. Just let another major attack happen on US soil and start counting the heads of people who favor it. Not that I’m saying it should happen, just that it might.

FDR a RACIST? I’m shocked!

They sure have a way with words, distortions and fabrications. FDR was a Fascist and racist, just like lots of the left’s heroes.

Their democrat icon, FDR, built the japanese internment camps.
The democrats gave us the KKK.
The democrats are spending us into bankruptcy.
The democrats are the ones who embraced Cloward-Piven ideology to bring down the US.
And now the democrats control academia, media, government services, and are assaulting private business.
The media takes all of worst that the democrats have done and blame on the majority of the population who exercise their free speech.
I can’t wait to be blamed in November for the big democrat loss!

The people in positions of authority are FOR IT.
If the masses are are the authority; get out and let us take over!!

The media talking point is written by Imam Rauf. Both say ” the radicals have hijacked the debate” . If we refuse to quietly submit to the humiliation of a GZM, we are radical hijackers on the same low level as Jihadists on the “other side” . Imam Rauf wants you to believe he and the liberal media are the morally superior moderates in the middle bridging 2 camps of radicals. Truth is there is only ONE camp of radicals comprised of the jihadists, their embassador Imam Rauf, MohamObama, his slavish press corps, and all the minions in government who obey our submission to Islam as a false homage to “religious tolerance”. You pay homage to religious tolerance by opposing intolerant religions…. http://www.box.net/shared/static/av4ui1x6k2

What is most noable, of course, is that it reads…. “more closely parrallels the current state of Muslims…”
As in, this was not the case three years ago… five years ago…. even eight years and 50 weeks ago of all times…
So why now? Yes, Obama has his share of blame for his ‘I’m not a Muslim, I only act like one and take the Muslim side in every way shape and form at every possible opportunity’ schtik, but that’s not entirely it.
This mosque thing is a huge reason, far beyond the building itself. What we see is the abject refusal of so mayn Muslims to compromise with any belief system, or any view of the world outside their own, in any way whatsoever. They have advertised this time and time again, with this mosque behavior they have virtually skywritten it, and then they wonder that people start looking at them askance?
Reform Islam commented:
It’s a curious narrative that’s been framed: Japanese internment camps, with no mention of German or Italian ones.
http://bit.ly/atlPQU
Progressives back in WW-II felt it important to round up many persons who looked like they could be enemies. While they weren’t killed with drones like the current administration, they were treated unfairly but contrary to these recent claims, the treatment was rather universal regardless of race. Internment was for persons of enemy nation heritage and subsequently a nation-state issue, not a race issue. Numerous towns and villages even changed the pronunciation or spelling of locales that sounded German or Italian.
Faye commented:
The silence from the “moderate”Muslims are deafening in their lack of condemnation of their fellow religious adherents violent actions. Why does this socialist msm refuse to see the obvious? Are they that stupid, blind and deaf?
But I am not going to believe someone from a religion that teaches it’s followers to lie to the unbeliever if it will serve their goals of achieving world domination. So I guess they are in a “catch 22″ mode where I am concerned.
mark commented:
I have been trying to figure out what I think about Islam these last few years. In Islam, you have the radical Moslems who wish to kill us or subjugate us. And you have the moderate Muslims. They are not violent. But they are, with very, very few exceptions, doing nothing to address the cancer that is radical, violent Islam. This is simply no good enough. And I can see no reason why I should respect them for their passivity in standing around, doing nothing to address the madness that lies at the heart of Islam. They have a “holy” book, but they also have their God given reason and they should start using it to speak out and to address some worst aspects of their religion: forced conversions, forced adoption of sharia, no separation of Church and state, apostates are to be killed, no freedom of conscience, legal punishments such as crucifixion, stoning and hands cut off for stealing, slavery and two classes of citizens with no equality before the law.
Texmom commented:
When they infiltrated the mainstream churches, they thought they could control us that way- that we would listen and obey whatever the pastor said. They didn’t count on us thinking for ourselves and questioning our denomination’s progressive politics.

Such as those trying to portray the totalitarian political cult as a religion of peace.
Arch commented:
To be acceptable as a religion recognized in the US, islam must be reformed – something that will never happen. Moderate islam is a myth.
Presently, islam is trapped in the 8th century with no hope of modernization. Their core beliefs are so hateful, violent and intolerant that they cannot be taken seriously.
If islam is a religion, so are the NeoNazis, KKK, the Aryan Brotherhood, New Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam.

Gee, I wonder if she includes the Muslim Brotherhood in that group? Those are the guys who published the Hamas Covenant, the agreement to destroy their own souls “in the service of Allah” by killing their neighbors.
Joanne commented:
Everyone knows Islam is only tolerant as long as you don’t have anything to say about it that muslims don’t like; otherwise, it is off with your heads, and they don’t even need a reason to kill Christians and Jews and burn places of worship, which they are doing all over the world.

the media is deliberately taking the words of reality & twisting them to fit Obama’s agenda hoping to start an internal war in order to afford Caliph in Chief an excuse to call out his civilian armies & stifle the November elections, of which afterward he will be a lame (fitb)!!
there are only 2 kinds of Muslims:
pro-Islamist aka: Political Islam aka: Sharia Law
ie: Obama & Rauf
con-Islamist aka: Political Islam aka: Sharia Law
ie: Jasser & sampling of others
Islamism vs. Moderate Islam
[MEQ: Do you believe it is possible to criticize
Islamism without being called a racist?
Sifaoui: Absolutely, I would say that one must criticize Islamism.
When I am criticizing Nazism, I am not being anti-German.
MEQ: When did you feel for the first
time that you had to criticize Islamism?
Sifaoui: I have always felt
that it was a moral duty.
MEQ: Do you believe that moderate Islam exists?
Sifaoui: Of course, it does. If the majority of Muslims were not moderate, Islamists would have destroyed the Western world a long time ago. Despite its technological lead, its nuclear power, and all its armies, the Western world would never be able to face an Islamist world entirely convinced by the terrorist cause. One billion people supporting Al-Qaeda would reduce the rest of the world to ashes. Islam contains violent texts that need not be applicable today. Islam is a religion of moderation. I know because I studied theology for four years.
Perhaps 20 percent of Muslims on the planet must be totally reeducated. We have to fight them politically, ideologically, and also militarily. Western societies do not fight them well; whenever they try to do so, they end up strengthening them.]
[U.S. Muslims who have championed democracy and religious tolerance question what they've accomplished. If the “extremist” label can be hung on someone as apparently liberal as the imam at the center of the outcry, Feisal Abdul Rauf, then any Muslim could come under attack. Feisal supports women's rights, human rights and interfaith outreach and was sent twice to the Middle East at the behest of then-President George W. Bush.
“The joke is on moderate Muslims,” said Muqtedar Khan, a University of Delaware political scientist and author of “American Muslims: Bridging Faith and Freedom.” “What's the point if you're going to be treated the same way as a radical? If I get into trouble, are they going to treat me like I'm a supporter of al-Qaida?”
Leaders have spent years trying to coax Muslim immigrants
out of their enclaves to fully embrace being American.]
bottom line:
the more all Muslims are lumped together the
more unnecessary enemies we may create..

Yes the well funded ‘misinformation’ about Islam, starts with the publishers of Korans, and leads straight to Saudi funded madrassas, and then into Al Queda, Taliban, Somali islamists, Kenyan islamists, Yemeni islamists, Paki islamists, Bali islamists (I could go on and on, but you get the idea as to the well funded nature of this ‘misinformation’ campaign). Forgive me also, for saying that I don’t necessarily think that the internments during WWII was that outrageous given the potential for harm to the country from axis agents and their fellow travelers here. I do however believe that the democraps were wrong to confiscate the property of the Japanese without just compensation. That was a violation of their civil rights. The fact that liberal alarm bells always to to the extreme negative when describing our country, is just one of many reasons why they are incompetent to hold any public office above dog catcher.
Radegunda commented:
The problem with the “misinformation” line is that so many Muslims are so quick to demonstrate that the “misinformation” is correct. Case in point is Rauf threatening that violence will ensue if he doesn’t get his way.
The MSM can’t be bothered to learn much about the history and doctrines and modus operandi of Islam. So the use the cheap hat trick of saying “It’s just like the Catholics, just like the Jews, …” They think it’s clever to argue by analogy, when sometimes what’s called for is a rigorous examination of differences.
