When will Illinois voters wise up and boot this communist clown out of office?
Rep. Jan Schakowsky says, “The right to abortion creates an obligation for taxpayers to fund them.” Schakowsky also backed the assertion that abortion is safer than childbirth.
Via Breitbart TV:
So Jan, since we all have a right to a car, does that mean the government should pay for those, too?
As you recall… Schakowsky also previously admitted that Obamacare would destroy the insurance industry.

So, Jan, since abortion is so much safer than childbirth, if every pregnant woman simply aborted that terrible tissue infestation in the interest of personal safety then…..

Ahah! Oo, oo, Mr. Kotter, I know the answer!
The radical “humans are evil and need to vacate the planet to save it for all the cute little furry forrest creatures” extreme eco zealots would be clapping their little webbed hands in delight-filled agreement.
Yup, no more humans infesting Mother Gaia means no more “us” which means…um, oops! Maybe we need to (re)think that one!
Never mind!

I for one think this is GREAT news! Who knew, until now, that rights carry with them the obligation of a government subsidy? I have a huge list of demands to make: I read a lot, so Uncle Sam had better pony up for my Amazon.com bills. Then, continuing on a First Amendment kick, the government can kick in for my annual tithe to church. Moving on to the Second Amendment…well, I have quite a few requests.
Boy, is the future gonna be great! Now, how do we quantify “the pursuit of happiness” in dollar terms, and to whom do I send the invoice?

no no no..
[..communists could not be wrong. After all, their knowledge was scientific, based on historical materialism, an understanding of the dialectical process in nature and human society, and a materialist (and thus realistic) view of nature. Marx has shown empirically where society has been and why, and he and his interpreters proved that it was destined for a communist end. No one could prevent this, but only stand in the way and delay it at the cost of more human misery. Those who disagreed with this world view and even with some of the proper interpretations of Marx and Lenin were, without a scintilla of doubt, wrong. After all, did not Marx or Lenin or Stalin or Mao say that. . . . In other words, communism was like a fanatical religion. It had its revealed text and chief interpreters. It had its priests and their ritualistic prose with all the answers. It had a heaven, and the proper behavior to reach it. It had its appeal to faith. And it had its crusade against nonbelievers.
What made this secular religion so utterly lethal was its seizure of all the state's instrument of force and coercion and their immediate use to destroy or control all independent sources of power, such as the church, the professions, private businesses, schools, and, of course, the family.]

Just because you CAN do something, doesn’t mean you MUST do it, nor does it mean others must facilitate it.
What else is a “right”? Certainly this lady would say food, shelter, utilities, etc… so why aren’t those being provided to everyone? They’re being provided to a select few–a key Democrat voting bloc–and the more “rights” that can be declared the more votes the Democrats can secure… until other people’s money runs out, or the people revolt.

She wasn’t blowin’ smoke then folks, and she’s not blowin’ in the wind now.
The Left is working it’s arse off trying to aligning the phrase, “right to” with it’s other favorite phrase, “obligation to pay” in a way that mistakenly leads people to believe these phrases mean the same thing, essentially are interchangable.
No.
Not true.
It is true that, as an American, I have many rights I am free to exercise. Abortion included.
That said, there is absolutely no written obligation in the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights, requiring other Americans to foot the financial bill for my freely-made, personal choices. Abortion included.

If it is, how did the people who wrote the Constitution miss it? And why did it take until 1973 to “find” it?
So practically speaking Rep. Jan Schakowsky is right. Even Barry says so (by not saying “by our Creator”).
See – Rights no longer come from God… they come from politicians!

It follows: the right to free speech creates an obligation for taxpayers to buy me a radio network. The right to freedom of religion creates an obligation for taxpayers to build a church to my specifications.
We already know that in left-thought, it’s “censorship” if the government chooses not to fund whatever trash you want to pass off as “art,” and it’s an “assault on science” if the government doesn’t fund a particular kind of medical research that has proven to be a relatively unproductive investment of tax dollars.

“When will Illinois voters wise up and boot this communist clown out of office?”
Well, the only voters who can boot this vile leftist yenta out of office are the residents of her congressional district, not the “voters of Illinois” in general (obviously). But it would be a mistake to assume that the voters of her district aren’t “wise” as to who she is and what she’s all about.
Illinois is a weird state; the Chicago region is culturally worlds away from the rest of the state (with Chicagoland itself divided into several distinctly different regional subcultures). Voters in Skokie and Deerfield come from a completely different world than downstate voters in “heartland of America” places like Peoria and Alton.
Shakowsky’s district is populated by wealthy, Jewish Leftists. In many respects, she represents her district well. Where she’s from, being a Red Diaper Baby, lifelong Marxist is almost a prerequisite for election — not a detriment to election.
Dan commented:
I watched the clip, and it appears you made up an inflammatory quotation. Nowhere in the clip does she say ““The right to abortion creates an obligation for taxpayers to fund them.” It’s just not there. Did you make it up?
Why not stick to truthful quotations? It seems like that is the best policy, isn’t it? Isn’t making quotes up and attributing them to someone kind of slimy?
