Barack Obama told supporters today: “The precepts of Jesus Christ spoke to me.”
…Which still does not explain why he chose Jeremiah Wright as his mentor and pastor for 20 years.
Barack Obama spoke about his faith today during a stop at a backyard bbq in New Mexico.
The New York Daily News reported:
The idea of putting a mosque near Ground Zero may not be popular, but President Obama got a thank you for supporting the right to build it.
It came from a woman at Obama’s backyard meeting in New Mexico, after she asked why he is a Christian.
With a substantial percentage of the country doubting his religious faith, Obama probably welcomed the question, and answered: “I came to my Christian faith later in life and it was because the precepts of Jesus Christ spoke to me in terms of the kind of life that I would want to lead — being my brothers’ and sisters’ keeper, treating others as they would treat me.”
He noted that his mother may have been spiritual, but she was not a churchgoer.
But he prays every day, he said, so he can “see God in other people and do our best to help them find their own grace.”
And that applies to everyone, even though “this is a country that is still predominantly Christian,” Obama said.
“We have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, and that their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own. And that’s part of what makes this country what it is,” Obama said.
It was that last part that prompted the thank you about the mosque.
“I’m a Christian, but we base our faith on free will,” the woman said. “And that’s what we were founded on, was freedom. And I just — I just thank you for taking a stand.”

As I recall, the ballot that I filled out in November 2008 was to select either Barack Obama or John McCain, both citizen-legislators, to be President of the United States and to lead the Executive Branch of the federal government. I was not voting for this person to be my “keeper.”

When is “later in life” to a 49 year old man? The 2008 narrative was that he’d been attending (what we later learned was Wright’s G-damn AmeriKKKa) church for 20 years. That would put him in a (supposed – just play along with me here) Christian church since he was 27 years old. Is that “later in life” to any of you? It’s not to me.
My point is that every time he opens his mouth, he not only lies but he also reveals his earlier statements to be lies, too.

you have anything to prove it is Islamic Law??
as our own judicial system is based on an
eye for an eye, albeit not taken literally..
at any rate, Christianity was around long before Islam, Judaism was around long before Christianity, etc.. however, Muhammad took selected pieces from both Judaism & Christianity & deviously incorporated them into Islam aka: a religiously Satanic political system to keep his followers in an eternal jihad mode..
