Woah! Nice work Ace…
Obama traveled to Los Angeles last night for a fundraiser at the home of a wealthy Hollywood producer and managed to pi$$ off the entire city after locking up traffic for hours. JSF at Valley of the Shadow was one of the Angelenos stuck for hours on the road without warning.

There’s much more at the LA Times.
Of course, the fact that this administration once again treated ordinary Americans like complete peons should surprise no one. Maybe that’s why he’s even losing his base.

Why, these ungrateful subjects. Don’t they realize that the mighty al-Bama has come to grace them with his presence?
He took time out between two vacations just to “fundamentally transform” their afternoon.
Shouldn’t we expect more respect from the adoring masses?
Khan Krum commented:
Adding insult to injury, al-Bama made all the dhimmis bow down before his caravan of mechanical camels as he passed by! Behold the grandeur of al-Bama the Magnificent!

There you go Barry…keep it up! It won’t change a thing. Those dumb a**ses in California will still vote for you because the ones who voted for you are as stupid as you are!!!!You may lose a couple of votes.

The best comment I’ve seen so far was from “Irate Motorist” at 8:34 PM, who ends their comment with this:
“Utter, utter, stupidity. I might vote for Sarah Palin just because of this night.”
napier commented:
We have no one to blame but ourselves. Can we stop treating politicians like some sort of super-royal, super-celebrities now? Why American taxpayers should shell out gobs of money so the president can go to a fundraiser is beyond me.
Here’s an idea: if the president wants to go to LA for reasons having nothing to do with his role as president, let him go online and shop for a ticket like everyone else. We’ll grant him this perk: when the airline says they have no seats available, he can say “but I’m the president”, and they can arrange to get him in coach.
When he arrives in LA, he can rent a damn car, again, like everyone else.
But doesn’t the president of the US need a huge secret service entourage for protection? No. It’s our institutions that keep America strong. The particular individual occupying an office at any given time is just a cog in a huge wheel. Anyone who’s looking to affect the US politically will know this and know that the only thing that assassinating the president will do is tick us off; wake a sleeping giant as it were.
As for individual crazies who might shoot the president, the secret service can’t stop them anyway. And to spend hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of dollars ineffectually is irrational in the extreme.
C’mon people. This kind of stuff is so ridiculous it’s embarrassing. Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!

For those die-hard worshipers that just cannot bring themselves to utter anything critical of The One ( that would be racist ) then here is something that mind stir their ire; think of all of the needless carbon dumped into the environment as cars sat idling. Obama thinks the “little people” should be thanking him! Just like King Louis the 16th. Those people in LA are so freakin stupid, and brain damaged by drugs, they won’t remember what happened 2 hours ago, much less 2 years from now when they will vote for Obama in droves. And the uber rich Hollywood Jews like Streisand and Spielberg will gladly be sucked dry financially by Obama and he will happily preside later over their beheading by Hamas.

The Democrats won’t even exist as a party after Obama gets through with them.
Multitude commented:
What a bunch of selfish ingrates they have in California! What happened to public transportation (haven’t you blown a few tens of billions on rail projects you subsidized by taxing citizens of other states?), or better yet, walking and loosing a few pounds?
Michelle told ya’ll that her husband would get you out of your comfort zone and demand personal sacrifice, yet you still elected him. He told you the time of American society being about the individual was over (except when one is of the privileged ruling class).
In a few more years, the Progressive agenda will be complete. You’ll take public transportation, whether it’s a shared Government Motors Voltswagon or a beat up minivan carrying 15 as is the practice in Obama’s Kenya. Since you’ll be too tired from working in the government work projects, you won’t have time for petty complaints like these.
Remember The only I in Individual is the O.

Reminds me of when I used to vanpool into DC from the Virginia suburbs shortly after the Clintonian Couple (Bonnie and Clod, the Twofer) ascended to the Imperial Throne of the City of Odds.
Ol’ slick Willy decided he’d to a repeat of former Little Rock excerise and go jogging along the DC streets — at the peak of morning rush hour!
Ah yes, peering out the window of the stationary van, along with blocks of stationary, non-rushing traffic, while ol’ pasty-thighs himself was plodding along, surrounded on all sides by Chevy Suburbans stuffed full of Secret Service agents, supplimenting the other ones jogging around our Dress-stainer-in-chief.
THAT lasted exactly one day, after which Willie confined his jogging to the White House track.
Narcissists are all alike, totally oblivious to the impact of their actions upon others residing outside of their their supremely self-centered little universe.

The spin will be: messaging. He didn’t explain clearly enough for those idiots in their cars why they have to sit there and put their lives on hold for his comings and goings. If only they understood that everything he did was for them!

A good clue to character: Does a politician like motorcades or not? Some enjoy the power and privilege, the ability to shunt the little people aside for their convenience. Others are embarrassed and ashamed by such behavior and avoid motorcades whenever possible. Sadly, few politicians fall into the second group.

Joe Biden tied up Portland Oregon in July and the liberal looney mind numb robots were outraged as well. Not that outraged because of course it was Biden, not Obama, and not that extreme but bad enough with 3 hours of gridlock.
These fools had best keep fundraising, it is the best showcase of who they really are.

Don’t y’all know there are *two* Americas? If you’re stuck in traffic because the One is in town, that is a pretty good sign that you’re in the *second* America. So play nice – your rulers are enjoying themselves, and that should be enough for all you little people.

The One is in Seattle today. He’s going to destroy I-5 this morning, if he hasn’t started already. He will trash traffic downtown for large chunks of the day, and then, although it hasn’t apparently been officially announced, he’s going to block traffic on I-5 and I-90 so he can attend a fund-raiser at a plutocrat’s house on Mercer Island. Basically, he’s going to ruin traffic for the entire day. It is outrageous that politicians of any stripe feel entitled to make life impossible for all those who support them.
olm commented:
The problem in Portland, don’t know about Seattle or LA, is that they didn’t tell anybody. So in the middle of the day the freeways were gridlocked and the airspace shut down.
Ridiculous.
Who in the hell would bother harming Biden?

We are so unappreciative! After all Obama has done for us all we can do is complain about a little traffic jam. Look how Obama selflessly sacrificed his popularity to give us socialized medicine. He knew we were against it, but he also knew better than us what we should have, so he sacrificially went forward. What a Statesman!
There is no limit to what Barry will sacrifice on our behalf. He is willing to sacrifice our jobs to give stimulus benefits to those corporations and unions who worked so hard to give us the gift of Obama’s presidency. I, for one, am excited just thinking about what surprises and “benefits” he has planned for us in the future. A thrill goes up my legs.
Think about folks, isn’t all that worth a little four hour traffic jam. Considerate it your little contribution to make the dreams of Obama (and his father) come true.

I’ve lived in LA for 15 years, and have never seen a President act with so much disregard for a city. Sat in traffic last night while the traffic cops were literally clueless how to move cars through. It was insane. He’d better not come back any time soon.

A point well made is that ALL presidents tie up entire cities when they exercise their impulse to visit. I’ll never understand why they can’t use a helicopter to get them nearer their destination, and then jump into a motorcade (unless they truly DO enjoy inconveniencing the little folk).
bigL commented:
these fundraisers are supposed to be paid by the Party doing the fund-raising. this is not of government function. Obama is supposed toreimburse the amt of a 1st class ticket for himself and the family with him or staff. At least this what I read.
Just like the death-wish that is NYC, Hollywood.West-side L.A.-all voted for this scum-bag…Let them enjoy the target on their back.
Ricardo commented:
A friend who for medical reasons needs to use the bus gave me a full account. He was on the Wilshire bus, which was then diverted to Olympic, which was again diverted to Pico. From just west of Motor and Pico looking east, he could see the traffic backed up as far as the eye could see so he got off and began walking back toward Olympic. He was told at Olympic that he couldn’t walk across until after the motorcade passed by. The officer told him that Olympic was closed all the way to Crenshaw. The audacity is unbelievable. He stood with a small group of onlookers and waited and waited until finally Obama passed by. The crowd mostly booed and gave Obama the finger. My friend had left work at 4 pm and got home at 7:30 pm.

Having been selected some time back by my fellow countrymen to run through the jungles shooting communists, I am amazed at the choice of things Presidential that irritate them today.
They are stone silent on his penchant for not saluting the Flag, his cancelling of the National Day of Prayer [which was observed by all presidents since Eisenhower] and his and Eric Holder’s staunch refusal to put the name ‘Muslim Extremist’ on the killer of 14 servicemen and women in Ft. Hood , shouting “Allaah Akhbar!” as he did it.
Yet, if he chokes up LA traffic for a couple of hours, they are at his throat.
Look in the mirror. Something’s wrong.

I work in downtown Seattle, about one-half mile from the Westin Hotel, where his fundraiser began half an hour ago. He is due to leave Seattle for the airport at 3:45 p.m. today. Well, I didn’t vote for him and I live here in paradise (*cough*). All I can say to my fellow citizens “toldyaso” however I am a bit saddened that one traffic tie-up has ignited them and not the horrid economy, ObamaCare, his hatred of America, his placating Muslim terrorists, his arrogance, socialism, training by Bill Ayres, class divisiveness and his bows to foreign rulers.

Here in Houston, when Bush the Elder came to town he indeed used to fly into Ellington Field and then helicopter across town.
On the other hand… personal anecdote time. Prior to 9/11, Continental used to have a puddle-jumper between Ellington Field (EFD) and Intercontinental (IAH), about a 10-minute flight including taxiing. Once I was returning home and my IAH-EFD hop was cancelled because Clinton was due to arrive at EFD. Continental put several of us into taxis for the drive across town (my car being at EFD). It being Friday afternoon rush hour, I directed the cabbie to exit at downtown and make his way onto the HOV (carpool) lane going down I-45 South. This was good advice, because Clinton’s motorcade had closed the main lanes of I-45 in both directions. We zipped along down the middle of an empty freeway until the 10-20 cars of the motorcade appeared from the south. Come to think of it, it was probably sheer dumb luck that kept us from being on the receiving end of a trigger-happy Secret Service agent’s RPG.
Winefred commented:
Hey people, remember that Presidential security is a serious matter! — this is the same president who insisted that cadets be disarmed of their ceremonial swords at both West Point and Naval Academy graduations. ‘Cuz he doesn’t believe he can trust his own military with his life. What a pansy.
Scott commented:
Why is he fundraising??? I was’nt aware that he is up for re-election? Doesn’t he have real work to do…This guy just vacations and talks…Never done a real day’s work in his entire life. Fundraising is just a clever ruse to fly around the country and visit cool locations on the taxpayer’s dime.
