Shocker. An obnoxious lefty blogger was asked to do “dirty work” for the Obama Campaign back in 2008…
And obliged.
Today that blogger came out of the closet.

Kristinn at Free Republic reported:
Leading gay blogger John Aravosis, writing today at his Americablog about White House spokesman Robert Gibbs attacking inside the beltway progressive critics of Barack Obama, like Aravosis, let slip that he performed surreptitious “dirty work” for Obama at the behest of his 2008 presidential campaign:
Joe and I are upset with Obama, and we, for example, raised nearly $43,000 for the man, According to the White House, our money now doesn’t count. Great, would they like to give it back? I for one, would love the $1000 back that I personally donated to the Obama campaign. Joe gave even more. I suspect a lot of our readers wouldn’t mind their contributions back too, since apparently they’re not appreciated.
Then there’s all that work we did for the campaign, all the dirty work they asked us to do – and we did it, gladly, and quietly – none of that counted either, apparently.
Presumably, the “Joe” who Aravosis mentions his Americablog’s deputy editor Joe Sudbay.
Don’t expect the corrupt media to follow up on this item.

I believe there are two things Obama will later regret; disparaging the Supreme Court on live TV and Gibbs demeaning progressives.

So am I getting this right – - this guy is mad because he’s not getting an illegal quid pro quo?
Pretty sure expecting and demanding specific acts from a politician in return for contributions of time or effort is still considered corruption in the legal sense.
Sounds to me like he’s pissed because the politician’s ear he thinks his donations bought him is no longer aimed in his direction.
Politicians… one of the only two ‘professions’ for whom it’s illegal to provide specific services for payment rendered.
Bet you can guess what’s the other one.

As P.T. Barnum used to say, there’s a sucker born every minute. Right after Saul Alinsky, Obama learned from Barnum.
Thanks for helping to elect the most-damaging, fraudulent, feckless fool in the history of the American Presidency.

Ah, poor John and his butt-buddy, Joe. You heard all the pretty words, the promises, and you really, REALLY thought that your socialist wetdream had finally arrived. Obama was going to foist on America all the things you learned early in your liberal arts degree; socialist rocks.
So you gave you money to The Won. You played stable boy for him, shoveling his manure trying to turn it into fertilizer. And you closed your eyes to how, throughout his entire politically career, he had thrown people under the bus once they no longer served his purpose.
You see, John, it was never about you. It was about winning. And he didn’t mind lying to you, telling you the things you wanted to hear, just to get you to act like his serf. You believed. You never asked, not one time, just what kind of change this unproven and untested junior senator from Illinois was talking about. You heard in his words what you wanted to hear.
Now you are angry because you were duped. Well, too damn bad. The adults understood that Obama was just a poseur, an empty suit, a creation of David Axelrod. We saw through the “hopey change” and understood that it was all a campaign slogan that had no meaning. It was not like we didn’t warn you. We did. And now, we chuckle as you have buyer’s remose. Sorry, you garner no sympathy from us who saw through the curtain. We understood that behind the curtain there was no wizard.
Oh, you will blame others; the Republicans who have managed to stand in the way of Obama’s Alinsky/Coward & Piven policies, inspite of the fact that you on the left had the GOP all but dead on 1/20/2009. You will blame those around him, like Gibbs who is just Obama’s mouthpiece. You will blame those Democrats who didn’t fight harder to bring about your Fabian socialist dreams.
But the person you should be blaming is yourself for being so damned stupid. We tried to tell you. You didn’t listen.

Looks like a thinly veiled threat. He either needs to come out with the full story, or stop whining altogether. Put up or shut up.

You wanna see some real FILTH, go over to C4P. They have numerous Twitter shots up of lefties wishing that Sarah Palin AND her family had been on the plane instead of Ted Stevens. They are beyond unhinged.

So, Aravos is angry because, after all the lies he told his readers in order to help get Oilbama elected, it turns out that Oilbama lied to him. Boo-f***ing-hoo.

Too bad we are all effed by this Ob’ama and our beautiful country and our kind and expert troops.
Thanks for not using your brain, Joe and John.

I just finished following the link and reading all the comments on Americablog. I found it to be informative. It addressed the liberal disillusionment with Obama and his policies. By and large the tone was reasonable, very little conservative “bashing”,very little profanity or “out there” thinking and someone even acknowledges Palin’s “how’s that hopey changey thing working for ya” — not well. Perhaps naively I thought they would “roll” with Gibbs’ comment. I was wrong. And his “apology” of an “unartful” or “inartful” comment– I forget which — did not satisfy. Funny — Gibbs doesn’t seem to have to many admirers — on either side. My 2 cents. And oh yeah I can’t get too worked up about the “dirty things” comment. I think we all are seeing how truly dirty our politicians have become.

Amen. Poor John and Joe — they’ve been had! Not “just winning”….more directly it was about him, Obama the superstar. It always was and always will be about Obama, first and foremost. Can they not see that yet? What do they teach in schools of higher learning…. oh, never mind.

I am so gratefull that I am pro-life and that I investigate what people believe or I might have fell for the great orator and voted for him. Also God gave me a dream about Obama before the election showing me his true colors. I knew he would win but that’s because the so called unsalty Christians got dupped and voted for him. They put their hope in a man instead of Christ and God gave them what they asked for, A King. Some of my friends said they voted for him because he would be the first black president (not considering his white mother) or the fact that he couldn’t have been elected without the white vote. These same business men also thought fighting pitbulls is a sport, go figure~!!!!
