The local SEIU turned out at Al Sharpton’s counter-freedom rally in Washington DC on Saturday that attracted a few thousand supporters.
They brought their own banner.
Via The Blast:

Nice work, guys.
Try spell check next time before you print the banner.

Considering the fact that they receive so many million$$$$ from the Democrats and the Federal government, you’d think they’d hire people with perfect knowledge of the English language…

The real irony would be if 32bj was a teacher’s union instead of building services.

By the way, if you haven’t heard (and not that there’s ANY connection at all to SEIU)……. OFA is offering internships for college credit.
Yeah, I know…. Where’s the proof.
Here – My friend Carol in Ohio found it.
OFA offering “internships” advancing Obama’s agenda, college credits included.

Are we having fun yet ?

The framers of our Constitution knew that the government should never have a monopoly on force. That’s why they articulated our God given right to self defense and ensured the right to keep and bear arms was written in our Bill of Rights. Let’s not forget: George Washington didn’t use his right to free speech to defeat the British. He shot them.

I wonder if that banner has the little union made logo in the corner…
Kevin P commented:
ROFL!!! Are the teachers unions part of SEIU???
Just askin’…
The 32BJ United – wasn’t that the SEIU chapter founded by Bill Clinton?

I thought this rally was all about the ‘civil rights’ of education ? Wasn’t the education secretary there ? Maybe they can get right on that !

So stupid it’s funny!
I’m so glad people are getting the main issue here, Communism, Socialism and Marxism is working hard through the Democrat Party to destroy America!
Remember to vote them out come November and 2012!
Iconoclast commented:
Clearly, they care more about agitation than job performance . . . . So, if they cannot spell even so common a word in public – what sort of quality to they bring to the job? Worthless parasites? Yes they are.

Granny commented:
32BJ SIEU is “building services workers” – in old fashioned terms, janitors. Probably can’t spell American because most of them probably aren’t.
Iconoclast commented:
The alternative explanation is would be their inability to speak English, their only talent to employ false ID to hide their illegal status.
Chisum commented:
Wait a minute! Haven’t we been told time and time again by the leftists that the “teabaggers” were stupid and they held up misspellings on handmade signs to prove it?
I guess “union made” signs don’t count.
BarbaraS commented:
There is something essentially wrong with government employees belonging to a union. What are the employees going to do if the union’s demands are not met? Strikes? Government shutdown? These employees do not have the right to blackmail and extort demands from the American people. If they want to belong to a union, they should get jobs in the private sector. How we came to this I will never know. Big government breeds graft and corruption. They go hand in hand.

Unions: protecting bad workers and bad spellers and milking the government are our top priorities
Chris commented:
Obama has already secured a trademark license on the use of the “I” in America — the “I” naturally refers to him and him alone and can only be used in his self-referencial speechifying.
How do you identify a narcissist?
His “I”s are too close together!
jonnot commented:
I find it very telling that the word the union thugs had trouble with was “American”: a word that is completely foreign to them…a word of which they have no understanding.
Kevin P commented:
I guess ol Teddy Kennedy and G. W. Bush should have made that “No child (or Union member) left behind”.
Brooklyn commented:
OH MY !
Reminds one of Boxer, Clinton, Pelosi, Reid, Conyers, Obey, Schumer, Obama, etc.

Why? The kind of ignorant people attending a Sharpton rally, probably can’t spell anyway.
Hedgehog commented:
Maybe Dolly Parton did the sign for them. You know, Amercan, as in “Proud to be Amercan”.
Andreas K. commented:
The American dream… Hmm, these guys know nothing about it.
The American dream is the reason why several of my relatives, after WW2, left Europe and moved to the US (some to Canada and Australia as well), but most went to the US.
Why?
Because, even today, America is called the “country of unlimited opportunities” over here. Opportunities. You are given an opportunity in the US and what you make of it depends on you. You are, are we say it, the “smith of your own luck/happiness.”
It depends on you, not the government.
The American dream is not union fat cats, or the government paying my mortgage.
The American dream is achieving something in your life, on your own.
Just take the unions. They always scream at “Wall Street fat cats”, but their leaders are worse than any Wall Street broker. And they don’t seem to understand that without Wall Street “fat cats” they wouldn’t have work. It’s the private businesses and companies which are THE driving force of the economy.
“Some see private enterprise as a predatory animal to be shot, others look on it as a cow to be milked but a few see it as a sturdy horse pulling a wagon”, as Sir Winston put it.
jetstream commented:
That banner didn’t have the wrong spelling.
They’re dream is a united America (or the Americas, north, central, and south) and Canada under union control.
Finncrisp commented:
Personally, I think is was left over from an American Can Co. rally. It was a play on words, of not!

The left gave Quayle such a rash of spit over spelling potatoe. Which like ketchup/catsup can be spelled two ways correctly. Lefties are not stupid, “they just know so much that is not so” Ronoldus Magnus.

This is what happens when everyone gets a trophy for participating, not keeping score at little league ball games, when 2+2=5, etc.
Must be the same banner maker hillary used a few years ago promoting her “New Jobs For Tommorrow”….
