Charles Krauthammer slammed Speaker Pelosi today on Special Report for her outrageous comments on the Ground Zero Victory Mosque. Pelosi wants to investigate those who oppose the mosque. Krauthammer called her comments “pure lunacy.”

“Well, I spent the afternoon wrapping my mind around Pelosi’s remark about looking into the finances of those who oppose the mosque saying “I want to join with others.” I’d like to know who the others are? Are any of them not institutionalized? And, then I’m trying to decide if her statement was out of malice or pure lunacy. Being the generous spirit that I am, I am going with lunacy… But the idea that those who (oppose) the mosque are some kind of conspiracy or the funding ought to be looked at is absurd. Look, I oppose the mosque and nobody’s offered me a penny. What am I chopped liver?“

Saw it too. Her handlers had her backtrack on that statement pretty fast, no congressional investigations, (maybe just the IRS looking over your returns, because they WON). Maybe it was the wind blowing acoss her botox that caused her to say it. It was windy, the hair was in disarray, and I heard botox can potentially affect the brain…it’s just a thought

You know what’s funny is that, in justified rage at the San Francisco harridan’s proposal to investigate “the backers of oppostion to the mosque”, it has not been noted how much this tips the hand of the leftist mindset: Note how such oppostion MUST be “backed”. It MUST have some evil power somewhere pulling the strings, it simply MUST, because the unwashed proles are simply incapable of having any opinions worth taking into account otherwise, and incapable of acting on same.
This is exactly why they are at sea with the tea party: Any movement that threatens them, they must fight, and the obvious way to fight it? Why, find the “Headquarters” of whatever Evil Injustice League sits in front of twenty video screens coordinating all the activity, which surely could not exist otherwise, and attack that. By my count there are 67 districts represented by ‘rats, which Cook rates as at least Republican leaning (Cook uses a formula based on Presidential election voting by district).
Considering that a vote for a ‘rat is a vote to keep Pelosi as Speaker of the House, there shouldn’t be a single ‘rat not voted out by these districts. But there will no doubt, be many.

Obama’s original comments were carefully written and delivered, yet they were damaging to his image and that of his party without any compensating benefit.
It isn’t the first time that he has carefully weighed an answer, and then gaffed disastrously. Democrats must be reconsidering his unearned reputation for intelligence, and re-examining his rise to office for signs of any true political skills.

By the way, of friend whose mother has Alzheimers said that Pelosi’s speech patterns are similar to those of his mother before she was bad enough to be diagnosed.
In particular, he referred to her habit of changing the subject when she appears confused or unable to respond appropriately.
Rove said her remarks on investigating those who oppose the 9/11 mosque were ‘silly’. That would fit diminished mental capacity.

No one can put things so succinctly as Krauthammer. Absolutely brilliant and correct. Where is the common sense in this country anymore? We have the lunatics running the asylum! I feel like we’re all in the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. I remember the Jimmy Carter era as a teenager. He made more and more crazy, insane decisions plunging the country in to gas shortages, out of control inflation, bungled negotiations for the hostages in Iran. This is like that era, except 200% worse. This isn’t a mistake or ineptness but intentional destruction of the USA. We have learned a hard, expensive and hurtful lesson from this. I hope the Republicans realize this is their LAST chance to be successful. No cronyism, no spending like there’s no tomorrow, but fiscal responsibility, ethics, strengthening of the constitution with laws to limit politicians’ corruption. We can only hope they will do the right thing.
