In 2007 Barack Obama endorsed genocide over continuing our mission in Iraq.

Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama said Thursday the United States cannot use its military to solve humanitarian problems and that preventing a potential genocide in Iraq isn’t a good enough reason to keep U.S. forces there.

45% of Iraq’s 27,500,000 people are below the age of 14.
Or, around 12,375,000 children.

Fortunately, Obama did not get his way.

Today, John Boehner blasted democrats and Barack Obama for fighting tooth and nail against our efforts in Iraq but are now proudly taking credit for the results.
Hypocrites.
The Caucus reported:

In advance of President Obama’s Tuesday night speech on Iraq, Representative John A. Boehner of Ohio, the House Republican leader, was set to remind thousands of veterans attending the national convention of the American Legion that Mr. Obama and other Democrats had opposed the military escalation credited with gains in Iraq.

“This day belongs to our troops, whose courage and sacrifices have made the transition to a new mission in Iraq possible,” Mr. Boehner said in excerpts of the speech he was to deliver Tuesday at the legion’s national convention in Milwaukee.

“Some leaders who opposed, criticized, and fought tooth-and-nail to stop the surge strategy now proudly claim credit for the results,” Mr. Boehner’s speech said.

It was the second time in a week that Mr. Boehner, who is line to become speaker should Republicans gain control of the House next year, has taken on the president in a major speech. In an address last week to the City Club of Cleveland, Mr. Boehner called on the president to fire his economic team and assailed the administration’s approach to trying to energize the struggling economy.

Good for John Boehner. How dare these cut-and-run radicals take credit for Iraq!

  1. Boehner’s warming up for the fight of his life.

When he takes over as speaker, he’ll be in the ring for us.

  2. Mike Pence also set the record straight in today’s Washington Times.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/aug/30/give-credit-where-credit-is-due/

  3. I’m sure alBama will try to puff out his bony chest Wed. night and claim he won the war that he and Crazy Joe fought so hard against. They were both against the surge. We remember.

  4. Time pull out the video clips of every Democrat who said, “the war was lost!” before the surge. Also, let’s remind the electorate of the nice ad in the New York Times, GENERAL BETRAY US!

Now they want to take credit for Bush’ success yet slam them for an economic policy that they are now thinking about extending, Bush Tax Cuts, to avoid a depression.

Hey Dems, give it up. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say Bush caused this economic downturn and then in the next breath say we need to extend Bush Tax Cuts. They have wrapped themselves into a pretzel trying to get re-elected.

  5. Ooops, the Anointed One speaks tonight. I hope Little Dicky Durbin reminds us again that our troops are Nazis and Prince Harry tells us how the surge has failed. What pukes.

  6. I don’t trust him. He’ll go wobbly.

Brewer, has more balls than every Republican male combined.

  7. So you think that the US should send troops to a country to stop genocide? I thought the US was supposed to send troops to countries to fight for our national security interests?

If war is only about stopping human rights abuses everywhere they happen–not helping our national security interests–then why don’t we start wars with Sudan, Burma, Iran, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Cuba, and China?

“Oh, no, the Republicans support genocide in Sudan and Burma, because they didn’t vote to start a war there~!” lol

  8. John Boehner to attend fundraiser for Ed Martin, who is running for House of Representatives for the 3rd District in Missouri, this Saturday.

Please support Ed Martin for Congress. He is running his campaign on over 98% individual contributions.

  9. John Stanford, It’s not the same. We went into Iraq and encouraged people to support us which many did. Democrats invariably then choose to abandon the country leaving the locals who supported us to be slaughtered (Vietnam). To the shame of our country we have allowed them to do this more than once. As far as I am concerned there is no honor in being a supporter of the Democrat regime.

  10. Go, John, Go!

    Mr. Speaker. Soon, we pray.

  11. Hey, John Stanford, Iraq was in violation (multiple instances) of the terms of the cease-fire that ended Gulf War I. For that and other reasons (too numerous to post), we invaded. That was in our national interest.

Barrack Obama opposed that in both vote and voice along with other Democrats (too numerous to post). Now that the war has come to a successful conclusion, he wants to take credit for that success to try and balance his failures (too numerous to post).

Now you come here with this lame, strawman argument to defend Obama or distract from his many failures. I must say, as a troll you stink in many ways.

    (too numerous to post …)

  12. John Stanford, arnonerik, there was a legal basis for our return to Iraq. Gulf I was only under a ceasefire. Among his many other offenses, Saddam repeatedly fired on our flyovers. We didn’t start a war – we finished it.

Also, don’t expect liberals to be honest. If it would help Obama, Harry Rodent or Nazi Nancy, they would sell their mothers to Little Mahmoud.

  14. I like Boehner, but lets keep in mind that just because he’s a republican it does not mean he is on our side, we assumed that the last time the GOP took over congress and they let us down…SOB’s left us with obama. He might be saying this to take advantage of the anger momentum. We can’t allow them to get lazy again. The stakes are too high.

  15. Also: on this year’s Al-Quds day (invented by mass murderer Khomeini) liberals and muselmaniacs will try to hunt Jews in Berlin. Yep, that Berlin, in Germany. They have threatenend to assault the peaceful counter protest with violence and to film it all and put it on youtube so that there won’t be any “zionist demonstrations” for a long time in Germany.

That’s the religion of peace and progressivism at work.

  16. Boehner’s been on fire lately. Loved his call for obamao’s “finance” minions’ resignations. This is almost as good, and will keep him out there, visible to give the right side of the issues.

I can only pray that the German government has the sense and the wherewithal to arrest the perpetrators up front rather than let this turn into a Kristallnacht Redux.

  18. I pray for this country. We need good leaders. We need a strong constitution. We need to cancel all the declarations of states of emergency still in effect now that give the executive branch WAY more power than was intended by the constitution. No way executive orders should be written like they are. Legislation should come from the legislature. Not the oval office.

  19. Our humble but lovable Dictator In Training Pants™ is speaking this evening ?

The only thing I want to hear out of his mouth is “I resign”.

Knowing that has about as much a chance of happening as my shooting a 59 on the golf course, this evening I’ll be watching my Yankees beating Oakland and enjoying some very good Scotch (Famous Grouse – Black).

  20. Stanford? Do you stand for anything? Pukes like you are a dime a dozen. No balls, and no brains Johnboy. Bad combination.
Time for Mommy to pour you a bowl of Captain Crunch.
Bush won the war, Obama and you LIBTARDS will try to take credit for something you opposed.
It would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic and sad.
