Rep. Melissa Bean (D-IL) brought Bruno the Bone-Crusher with her to a town hall meeting this weekend to threaten constituents. The meeting was held at Round Lake, Illinois Public library on Thursday August 12. The Obamacare-supporting democrat allowed the thug to roam around the room to intimidate constituents from asking questions.
Where’d she get this guy, from the WWE?

Illinois’ 8th District, running from the northern suburbs of Chicago up to the Wisconsin border, was held by Republican Phil Crane until 2004, and Bush carried the district with 55% of the vote in 2004. Like many other vulnerable Democrats in this mid-term campaign, Bean has refused to debate her Republican challenger, Joe Walsh.

The constituent was merely challenging the so-called representative. The constituent was not screaming nor out of control. The constituent was not physically threatening in any way.
So, the so-called elite cannot be challenged, or they will respond with force. In this respect Bean is in fact representative, not of her constituents, but of the federal government and the so-called elite.

But I do like how the cameraman quietly yet effectively brushes off the fellow yammering about filming “personal information” in a public town hall meeting. That was nicely done.

I wish I had gone there on Thursday night. She’s my “representative” and that’s my local library.
I’ve met her a couple of times and asked questions and she’s been as non-responsive to those as she has to my emails. I have emailed her with specific concerns and she replies with boilerplate email that she also posts on her website.
Her conservative opponent is Joe Walsh. I’ve also met and spoken with him and walked in two parades on the Fourth of July and at a teaparty on the fifth. He’s on twitter at @JoeWalsh8th.

If a Congress person calls a meeting, he/she should be there to answer questions first and foremost. People should not feel like they have to badger the representative to get questions answered. If it is to be an information only meeting, then there is no need for the congressional member to be there. It can be taped if they want to see it. Town Hall meetings should be reserved as question and answer times, so that those who need answers get them without the smoke and mirrors from elected officials. Perhaps Congress should adopt rules for Town Hall meetings that would require that all representatives be available for public questions for a certain amount of time during each recess. Robert’s Rules of Order should be followed at all Town Hall meetings to ensure everyone may offer questions and receive answers in an unbiased and civil format.

Before being Obamboozled by the Lord of the Lies (voting for the “south side kid” by 13 points), this suburban Chicago district, which is only 4% black, went 56% for Bush TWICE. But the polls, after ALL THE ‘RATS HAVE DONE, have Bean up by at least 3. The meeting was billed as a Financial Education seminar to teach citizens how to manage their credit card debt. What happened at this meeting was anything but educational. During the meeting, which I attended, citizens started to ask questions about jobs, government spending and the federal deficit. Every time a citizen would attempt to ask a question, Melissa Bean’s THUG, who we were told worked for the Round Lake Library, would walk over to that person and hover over them to intimidate them. This went on during the course of the entire meeting without Bean saying a word about the blatant intimidation she knew her constituents must be feeling.
It is obvious from Bean’s obfuscation that she chose this type of forum so she would not have to answer any direct questions about her voting record. Instead of having an open Town hall forum where citizens are free to have a dialogue with their Representative, Bean chose to have a representative from the Illinois State Treasury come in and lecture her constituents on how they should pay down their credit card debt and start saving. How ironic when the Federal Government has spent over 13 Trillion dollars and the majority of the states are on the verge of bankruptcy.
In the video you will see that all attempts to ask Bean questions were either “shut down” by Bean personally or through the intimidation tactics of her THUG. Is this the type of “transparency” we were promised? Why does Bean feel that Thuggery is acceptable? Watch the video and see if you can answer any of these questions.

1. Loudly warn thug that you feel threatened by threats presence and close proximity to your person. Loudly ask him to identify himself, who he works for and his title. Instruct him to back away now!
2. If threat fails to back off repeat both questions loudly adding that you are still feeling threatened.
3. If threat fails to back off repeat both questions a third time along with the fact that you still feel threatened and state that you will defend yourself if the threat does not back off. If the threat does not cease it’s threatening behavior react and defend yourself by any all appropriate means…
9 times out of 10 the threat will say nothing across all three challenges. With a room full of witnesses who heard you issue three warnings you are safely covered. The guy who made the video did us all a great service but he made a mistake when he said he’d turn it off when people asked financial questions.
You don’t ever concede your right to video them when you are in a public forum. That’s what they want you to do; then they keep moving the bar higher : ‘oh, this isn’t really a public forum so shut off the camera’ or ‘oh, some people are unconfortable with cameras, so shut it off’ etc…
Their plan is to browbeat, bullsh*t and baffle the public into believing that the congresscritter calls the shots. They don’t.

ONLY a member of the executive branch has the authority to enforce the law. (police officer, Secret Service, federal marshal, etc.) The rules that this “bodyguard” was enforcing were created by Rep, Mellisa Bean, which means that no one has the authority to enforce them…..not without a majority vote in congress (both houses) AND the signature of the president. She made up her own rules, and then hired someone to enforce them!
On top of that, if he was payed with public money to enforce a partisan agenda, is it a violation of the Hatch Act of 1939?

I was one of the independents who felt Phil Crane had lost touch and voted for Bean when she first lost then defeated him. I personally swung several family and friends to the viewpoint that Crane’s time had come even though I did not like all Bean’s stances. Now she has become more disengaged than Phil Crane ever was. She evaded us all last summer and was completely unresponsive to constituent concerns on Obamacare and Financial reform. I did see her in a non-public event last Fall and she was very unimpressive. I have also been to one Joe Walsh event in Wauconda (I like to be an informed voter and do call/write the public servants who work for me) and Walsh’s event was very well run. He has way more than a fighting chance. I predict Walsh will beat Bean; she deserves to lose. While she did march in the Alpine Days parade in LZ she was sweating hard and she should be. She has become Phil Crane – out of touch and unresponsive.

What happen to this story? First indications suggested it would go viral, yet very little has transpired since the first day. It seems it ran out of steam in just hours.
