Dana and American Power posted this disgusting episode from the Ground Zero Mosque supporter’s rally yesterday in New York City. The speaker at 3:56 in the tape blames the “Jewish Zionist Israel” for the mosque controversy and current political climate. When the cameraman calls the speaker a racist the crowd attacks him and starts chanting “bigots go home.”
Of course, this violence and anti-Semitism by the radical left surprises no one.

When I was suprised to hear the first speaker state that the demo in support of the mosque was about the same size as the one against the mosque – the pics didn’t look that way to me. Apparently it didn’t look that way because it wasn’t. There were about 200 people at this demo for the mosque and 1000 at the one against the mosque.

What do you think the folks with the rainbow flag would do if the Muslims started speaking truthfully about how they feel about homosexuality? Knowledgeable commented:
The speaker was asking for a response by using those terms, but, “Jewish Zionist” seems like a rather accurate description of the State of Israel.
Zionism is defined as “Zionism (Hebrew: ציונות, Tsiyonut) is a nationalist[1] Jewish political movement that, in its broadest sense, calls for the self-determination of the Jewish people and a sovereign, Jewish national homeland.[2] Since the establishment of the State of Israel, the Zionist movement continues primarily to support and advocate on behalf of the Jewish state, and its current existence.
Zionism does not have a uniform ideology, but a plethora of ideologies: General Zionism, National-Religious Zionism, Labor Zionism, Revisionist Zionism, Green Zionism(2001), etc. Shimoni (1995) shows that there exists among the parties a common denominator: the claim to Eretz Israel as the national homeland of the Jews and as the legitimate focus for the national self-determination of the Jews.”
As well, Israel “was established as a homeland for the Jewish people and is often referred to as the Jewish state. The country’s Law of Return grants all Jews and those of Jewish lineage the right to Israeli citizenship.”
It is not at all racist to refer to the State of Israel as either Zionist or Jewish, because it is BOTH. The State of Israel is the culmination of the lobbying of Zionists beginning in 1917 with the Balfour Declaration, and was established as Jewish homeland and state by the Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel.
The only real debatable aspect of what the speaker said concerns U.S. involvement with Israel when it comes to international affairs and Middle Eastern policy. This position is debatable depending on what one perceives as the national interests of the United States and the policies which best serve to advance those interests. However, saying you disagree with U.S. support for the State of Israel in every case and on every issue is not “racist” and merely a differing perception of the best method of advancing U.S. interests in the world and in the Middle East. As well, disagreeing with U.S. support for Israel doesn’t mean you want the U.S. to cut off all ties or declare war, but merely that you wish for a re-evaluation of U.S. policy in the region in regards to what is in the best interests of national interest.

Jivemaster likes to talk about Islam’s important contribution to American history. The fact is, however, the main contribution to American history associated with Islam is the killing of over 3,000 people and the destruction of property valued at billions of dollars, done by individuals who yelled praise to Allah just before committing mass murder.
Perhaps Jivemaster refers to that homegrown group of black grifters known as the Nation of Islam, but theirs hasn’t been a contribution worth celebrating.

Freedom of religion for mohammedans good. Freedom of religion for Christians and Jews bad.
And I’m pretty sure, if they would know anything of substance about Hinduism and Buddhism, they would try to take religious freedom away from those two as well.
Note: I have yet to meet a leftist who had actual knowledge about Buddha’s teachings. They usually don’t know anything about it. They just take from it what they think it cool.

Did you see the gay-flag in the picture with the pro-mosque protesters? So the gays think they can glom onto the Muslims in their ‘similar struggles’. Um, has anyone in the gay community thought out how anti-homosexual the Muslims of that mosque are going to be? Granted, they’ll hang with the gays for now as they’re useful idiots. But once the Muslims get the upper hand, guess what group is going under the bus quick?
Knowledgeable commented:
Opinionator, thanks for trying to call me a nazi. Actually, I’m not. Nor do I believe in any form of racism or discrimination. All I was doing was showing what the definitions of those statements mean and then putting the “argument” here back into context. Anyway, I don’t think any country should support any other country unconditionally and in every case, because it inevitably leads to situations in which we must support another country in doing something that me adversely affect our policy. I am a student of international affairs and this is a basic theoretical precept of several theories of international relations, that nations will pursue the policies that are in their best interests because it is not possible to predict what other countries may do and there is no enforceable form of international law leaving relations between states in a form of anarchy in which states must evaluate their relations with others in order to maximize their interests. Saying it’s not in U.S. interests to support a single-state solution or the complete expulsion of muslims or arabs from Israel, or Israeli colonization of historically arab or muslim areas by disregarding their property rights and granting their land to new citizens without their consent, does not mean you support “ovens” but that you are critically thinking about U.S. interests and our position in the mid-east, as well as the best method for promoting democracy in the mid-east. We will never be able to make any progress in the mid-east if we do not solve the problems in Israel with respect to the history of the region and the history of the formation of the many modern states in the area currently in existence.
We need a critically thought out solution to the mid-east crisis and calling everyone who presents a different view-point a nazi is not the best way to come to a conclusion about policy and present a united front from the strongest state in a decreasingly uni-polar world.

Agreed. For the long post from the self-described “knowledgable”, I just wonder whether he/she thinks it is better to have Isralis form of gov or Hamas/Iran ‘s form of gov in the Middle East.
I have learned to spot the propaganda from people who use the “perfection fallacy” in their argument. It doesn’t take much to know that no one agrees 100% even with their closest friends! But I wouldn’t blink to choose my friends over a sleazy used car salesman for example.
Knowledgeable commented:
LAI, I’m not arguing in favor of any grouping, just stating that the speakers adjectives are not “racist”. As far as the government’s of Hamas and Israel, if limited to the two, I would choose Israel’s form of government. However, government-type is not a determining factor in the implementation of policies. Sure, I think that Israel is less authoritarian and has a more proportional and representative multi-party democracy, but I still don’t agree with it 100%. I’ll readily admit, I consider myself a Democrat, but when I disagree with them on a policy position, I do so vocally and refuse to just kow-tow to them. The difference between the Republican base and Democratic base is that the Republican base gets the Republican politicians to say what they want to hear, but never get what they actually want and yet continue to support them, whereas Democrats will disagree with what the party says or does and call them out in every way possible. I refuse to compromise on my system of morality and thusly can not support either Hamas or Israel, as neither is a good choice and it will take principled, peaceful, and non-demagogic leadership from both groups to achieve any lasting peace, which neither of them currently have.
LAI commented:
“Knowledgable”,
I think you are projecting your own bias onto others. For example, the democrats haven’t called out the open racism and anti-semitism of the Democratic party (eg. Louis Farakhan and Rev. Wright for example). I can provide many more examples of racism and anti-semtism prevalent in the progressive left if you are interested.
You didn’t list what you disagree with Hamas about. For me, the MORAL choice between Israel and Hamas is very clear. In Israel, there are Arab representatives in the Knesset, even those who are openly advocating for the destruction of Israel while enjoying the only real freedom in the middle east. The regressive and brutal sharia rule of Hamas in the Gaza itself should be horrible to any well-informed and knowledgable person in the West. I assumed that morally you are not that bothered by Hamas ‘s intention of destroying the country of Israel and their terrorist attacks against women and children in Israel. They even used Palestinian women/children as their human shields. For me, the MORAL contrast is very clear. It is sad that you cannot even make a choice in this case.
It must be the “perfection fallacy” at work here: America is not perfect and Iran is not perfect. So there is no different between America and Iran. Pretty sad about what your learned in colleges these days.
LAI commented:
BTW, I am willing to give the young speakers the benefit of the doubt that they are ignorant and simply spouting the typical democratic/leftist talking points here. The real question is why a large number of democrats and progressives are so hateful towards other Americans, who oppose the insult of the GZM. The democrats/progressives went to great length to ignore and to make excuse for the extreme jihadists. At the same time, they are willing to call other Americans “racists” and bigots. Honestly, I think this is an example of the intellectual corruption of the progressive democrats in this case.
Claire Solt commented:
It must be very hard to live in NYC and suffer frequent threats of terrorist attack while the government and these useful idiots call everyone a racist. The underlying issue is security which is poorly addressed by Napolitano and Bloomberg. Let the FBI come out and say it has radical imams and their mosques under surveillance, and people would feel better and less like they need to watch out for themselves. Multiculturalism during war is an oxymoron for morons.
LAI commented:
Claire,
It is also an issue of TOLERANCE. The left and the their radical Islamist allies have displayed their INTOLERANCE for all the see. We can point to the numerous bigoted and unhinged attacks from the progressive left in the last couple weeks. Even Britain has become so intolerant that some teachers had to avoid mentioning the holocaust for fear of offending Muslim students! If logic has any meaning for the progressive left, then by their actions it means that you have to support the oppression of women/gay/non-muslims to be tolerant! On the other hand, the intolerant progressives have no qualm about insulting other Americans including many 9/11 victims.
