Ground Zero Mosque Planner: Americans Are Bigots (Video)

A leader of the planned Ground Zero Victory Mosque told told Christiane Amanpour this weekend that Americans are bigots.
This Week reported, Via FOX Nation:
Daisy Khan, who is spearheading the mosque project with her husband, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, compared the opposition to the mosque to anti-Semitism.
FOX Nation reported:
A leader of a planned Muslim community center near Manhattan’s Ground Zero compared opposition to the project to the persecution of Jews, in comments that could add to the controversy over the center’s proposed site.
“We are deeply concerned, because this is like a metastasized antisemitism,” said Daisy Khan, who is spearheading the project with her husband, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. “It’s beyond Islamophobia. It’s hate of Muslims.”
Ms. Khan, appearing on ABC News’s “This Week” on Sunday, vowed to push ahead with plans to build a 15-story complex two blocks from the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in lower Manhattan, saying there was “too much at stake.” Read more…
Moving Islamic Center ‘Not’ on the Table for Now, Backer Says
In an exclusive interview on “This Week,” Daisy Khan, one of the main backers of the mosque and Islamic community center near ground zero, told Christiane Amanpour that moving the project to another site is not currently an option they are considering.
“So is moving [the center] on the table still?” Amanpour asked.
“Right now it’s not until we consult with all our stakeholders,” Khan said.
Amanpour asked Khan if America was Islamophobic.
“This is like a metastasized anti-Semitism, that’s what we feel right now,” Khan said. “It’s not even Islamophobia, it’s beyond Islamophobia; it’s hate of Muslims. And we are deeply concerned.”

While America debates whether a “bridge-building” Imam Rauf should erect his $100-million, 13-story outreach “Islamic complex” (is the name “Cordoba House” now officially to be dropped? And if so, could Mr. Rauf or the media explain why?) next to Ground Zero, Islam seems to be at war with most of the rest of the world, or perhaps vice versa.

Why is no one challenging the premise of this victory center in the first place? There’s a mosque two blocks away and nine additional in the boroughs of NY. The “moderate” muzzies have said there’s no local community to support it since it’s located in a business district. It’s a total ruse.
Give it up. Just abandon it. You lose. This country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, not those of a 7th century pedo thug. Don’t like it? You’re free to leave and go back to those oh-so-enlightened folks in the Middle East.

O/T There is a Republican primary in Alaska tomorrow and an opportunity to vote out a RINO; and while there is no gaurantee that Joe Miller will be more conservative than Lisa Murkowski, it is VERY difficult to imagine that this would be the case, given what we know about Murkowski.
Over the last five presidential elections — where it has voted Republican by at least a 9% margin each time — Alaska has only been surpassed in terms of voting Republican (on average) by Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nebraska. But despite this fact, it is represented by someone who has the 4th most liberal Republican lifetime ACU rating in the Senate. Only eclipsing the ratings of Snowe, Collins, and Voinovich (Brown doesn’t have a lifetime ACU rating yet).
It will be a sad day for Alaska Republicans if they reward Murkowski with a victory in tomorrow’s primary over Joe Miller and allow Alaska to be represented for four more years by Senators with an average lifetime ACU rating (41) that is worse than that of Olympia Snowe and Ben Nelson. A VERY SAD DAY — and another bad omen for America.
