Terrific. CNN Host Rick Sanchez today called Obama the “cotton-picking” president.
Of course, if a conservative would have said this they would have been forced to resign by now.

An insult to cotton pickers.
Now if he had used the words “Affirmative Action”….
donh commented:
I thought Obama did not have slave blood? No excuse for a remark like that. On the limbo pole dance Sanchez went an inch lower than Dan Rather who said Obama could not sell watermellons if he had a state trooper flagging down traffic.
Terri commented:
“What kind of planet is this?….”
The kind of planet where most people didn’t believe George W along with Tony Blair, the CIA and even Sadaam that he had WMD.

I’m sure al sharpton will lead a boycott of cnn…..not.
sliderblaze commented:
just posted this on my facebook, he’s gone “full retard”
Militant Conservative commented:
Bully pulpit?? Hell this poser could not get more people against him if he was trying. He’s and absolute DUNCE at leadership skills. I’d like to know the ratings numbers his speaches get. I purposefully avoid the affirmative action president from a protected class. He’s a LIAR. A MALIGNANT NARCISISTIC LIAR. It’s not ALL about you, It’s the economy STUPID. Marxist POS. powder is dry.
pamlinson commented:
Freudian slip Rick?
Granny commented:
Can you IMAGINE the flap if a conservative had said this? Rick Sanchez would be screaming for blood!
Mark1957 commented:
That is too funny. It just proves once again that if you let liberals talk long enough, their true bigotry surfaces.
pamlinson commented:
God love ya Rick, you are our biggest arrow the conservatives have in their quiver…
Lan Astaslem commented:
Close, but no cigar. I’m afraid that our boy president has never worked that hard in his entire life.
Kenny Solomon commented:
But fortunately he keeps his feathers numbered for just such an occasion.
Cheers !

Well maybe second….I’m pretty sure Harry Reid is the biggest, oh wait a minute I forgot about Joe Biden.
Chisum commented:
This guy is a disgrace! And a buffoon.
Patman commented:
Obama doesn’t have enough spine to literally pick cotton. But he does have just enough to bow.
Dave-O commented:
Regardless of what he meant to say or how it was supposed to be interpreted – he owes his viewers and the president an apology. There is really no good way to interpret this. God forbid should a conservative say something like this! why should it be any different for this bozo?
Gman commented:
Yeah no kidding, imagine if anyone at FOX said this
Alana commented:
I don’t think he meant a thing by it. I think it’s a ridiculous stretch to interpret all phrases in the English language in terms of whether or not there possibly be some sort of racist connotation. (And anyway, whites picked cotton.)
What galls me is that if someone on the left says something, it’s okay, but if a conservative said it, it would be the end of the world as we know it. Or at least the end of that conservative’s career.
Obummer commented:
Obama eats lobsters all day long and plays golf , when he is not relaxing and thinking about his next golfing outing. That’s all he does folks. That’s about it. That somes up everything about Obama.
sheik yer\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'mami commented:
Zero cannot even get an umbrella through a doorway, what makes you think he is good for anything else?
Larkin commented:
Hey Rick,
You dumb-ass. Once a muslim, always a muslim.
The guy was sired by a muslim, raised by a muslim, went to a muslim school, tutored by a black liberation theology crank that the muslims LOVE…
Nothing says he has to be a PRACTICING muslim to do great damage to our way of life.
Besides, he doesn’t practice anything…but golf.
Bill Fabrizio commented:
Look for the newly released MGM movie about Obama; “Cotton comes to Harmthem”!
Lance commented:
CNN is embarrassing and pathetic. Its food for the comfortable dupe.
What’s wrong with the world questioning Obama’s lies? What’s wrong with you?
You spineless mental adolescent cotton-picking commie tool.
Andreas K. commented:
I doubt he even knows how a cotton plant looks like.
But yeah, imagine a Tea Partier would have said that. Or a Republican. Or Beck. Cars would burn. People would be murdered.
Little Nemo commented:
nobody give this guy the benefit of the doubt.
The left wouldn’t if it were one of us. Drive this one home and force him to resign. I want to see him cry live on air and beg for forgiveness.
Sucks, huh lefties? Alinsky all the way… make them live up to their OWN rules
Liz commented:
Just for the heck of it, I checked the meaning of the phrase “cotton-picking” and here it is…
” adjective
Slang worthless, damned, hateful, etc.: used as a general intensive of opprobrium
Webster’s New World College Dictionary Copyright © 2010 by Wiley Publishing, Inc., Cleveland, Ohio. ”
from this site http://www.yourdictionary.com/cotton-picking
And then there is this …
Adjective: cotton-picking
1.(US, idiomatic, colloquial) Of little value, or for emphasis. 2.(US, idiomatic, pejorative, colloquial) Describes a person who tends to become involved in matters outside of his area of concern. 3.(US, idiomatic, pejorative, ethnic slur, colloquial, dated) Describing a black person.
As listed on this site: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/cotton-picking
Yes, I agree that if any republican or conservative said this about Obama, there would be calls for an apology.
Stephen Morgan commented:
The statement is incorrect because Obama would have been a “house negro”…and never would have picked cotton..

Rick Sanchez – Dumbest man on television!
Bruce Cunningham commented:
OT, but I recieved an e-mail from a fellow patriot that shocklingly pointed out “Subject: Fwd: Justice Dept. does away with the red, white, and blue stars and stripes
Well, how interesting. Seems the U.S. Department of Justice has changed their website yesterday. Gone are the colorful red, white and blue U.S. flag decorations on the page, to be replaced by stark black and white. And at the top of the page, is a rather interesting quote:
“The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people.”
Catchy, huh? Just one tiny little (too small to be relevant obviously) point – the quote is from C. Wilfred Jenks, who in the 1930′s was a leading proponent of the “international law” movement, which had as its goal to impose a global common law and which backed ‘global workers’rights.’
Call it Marxism, call it Progressivism, call it Socialism – under any of those names it definitely makes the DOJ look corrupt in their sleek, new black website with Marxist accessories to match.
Go here and see for yourself: http://www.justice.gov/
How very interesting that ‘they’ couldn’t find a nice quote from one of our Founders. People, we have lost our Republic and control. We need to get it back ASAP.
Please please this needs to go Viral, as I went to justice.gov and yes its true
ebayer commented:
lmfao!!!!
jesme commented:
Oh, come on. I’m black and I don’t see why he should apologize. It’s a well-known colloquial expression that’s been around in American English for as long as I’ve lived and likely a good deal longer. I’d have just kept on driving and ignored the complaints. Sanchez didn’t do anything wrong. Heck, he was actually standing up for the president at that moment. People are just getting too touchy for their own good around here…
StrangernFiction commented:
“Rick Sanchez, quite possibly the dumbest man on television, and that’s saying something because there’s some dumb people in television.” – Glenn Beck

Chkn Fryd commented:
Hypocritical, ignorant, and illiterate. When it comes to classifying this string, pick two.
Alana commented:
Bruce @31 – They are just taking everything away from us, aren’t they?
The old red white and blue is just too old-fashioned for them.
Then there’s Huffington Post, with their spread of “Ridiculous Photos” from the D.C. rally. Pictures of people wearing flag-themed outfits.
Guess we know where we stand these days: Patriotism is O.U.T. Transnational socialism/Marxism is in.
Lord, I hate these people.
Palinfan commented:
Sanchez is drunk again.
Joanne commented:
He said ‘cotton pickin’ president – it is an old phrase seldom used, but if a conservative used it, they would be called a racist for sure.
Auntie Em commented:
In all actuality, Barquack would be very suited to picking cotton. His back has a natural bend to it. The only thing standing in his way of being an exceptional cotton-picker is a work ethic and good character. The exact same things that keep him from being good at anything other than a lying charlatan.
Anyone here actually picked cotton as a job? Growing up in the Louisiana delta, I have. I would go behind the combine and pick what it left behind. I am white and 36 years old….don’t tell the blacks who wouldn’t know what a boll of cotton looks like, much less ever picked one. They might call me an Uncle Tom instead of an Auntie Em.
Atlanta Media Guy commented:
I love the way Sanchez said in his “apology”, “it’s a term I use since I grew up in the south!” Hey Rick, Miami might be in South Florida, but really? They have farms in South Dade County, however, I have not seen one cotton bale in Dade County ever! Get real man.
How long is CNN going to keep this local news guy on the air? I know a lot of classy Hispanic news folks who could run rings around this guy! They probably would get better ratings, if they aired color bars during his show too! Look what Time Warner has done to a once true news network! These people are not journalists any longer, they are liberal hacks using the airwaves to promote the daily democratic talking points.
No wonder Ted Turner wants to run his creation again! He’s seen it flushed down the toilet by the New York elitists.
You’ve seen nothing yet, just wait when CNN and CBS News join forces, they have been negotiating terms of a contract for over 5 years, it’s coming!
DocB commented:
#41 – Atlanta Media Guy
That was my first thought too when he mentioned it being a term used in the south. Having lived in S Florida seeing Sanchez get his start on WSVN 7, I was continually appalled at his ‘talent’, for making things up for dramatic effect. Cotton is not a crop grown in S. Florida, nor his native Cuba to my knowledge.
I’ll say that today’s CNN and Sanchez clearly deserve each other. Both should be embarrassed into obscurity.

Apparently in the lamestream media, anchors cannot have a three digit IQ, and preferably not one above ambient room temperature.
