Charles Krauthammer commented tonight on Barack Obama’s Iraq speech:
“It Was Both Flat and Odd.”

Does anyone know what’s happened to Bill O’Reilly? The first part of his show was pre-empted by Obama’s speech, AND O’Reilly had Meghan McCain as a guest. Why does he insist on giving her air time? She’s a liberal foof.

They played the entire O’reilly on the west coast. Meghan was unimpressive if you ask me.

{if only the 18 minutes it took, had ended with the beast being hauled off in handcuffs, it would’ve been worth the time.}

As usual this gentleman is l00% right. How come he can always see so clearly while the rest of the prime time media is so blind, and silent?Irish45

I respectfully disagree with Charles. I didn’t expect BO to share his “vision of our role in the world.”
Egad. If he did, it wouldn’t be just Tea Party types filling the streets of Washington. How more obvious must he be? He doesn’t share our values or our love of country.
Everything he does is an attempt to weaken and destroy who we are.

RE # 4, Maria:
They put her on because she even when she’s dead wrong, she makes good television.
Obama, on the contrary, is wrong on policy *and* is now television death.
I wonder how long it will be before even the 24 hour news channels are unwilling to carry Dumb-O live in prime time because he is a cancer to ratings. Can’t wait for the Neilsen numbers on this speech – Dumb-O jumped the shark so long ago that I’m uncertain anyone watches him who doesnt make a living in the punditocracy.
Chkn Fryd commented:
“Flat and odd” describes any Krauthammer evaluation of any speech by the President which does not use the phrase, “I hereby resign.”
Taxpayer1234 commented:
Obama isn’t unflappable and he doesn’t have a poker face–two traits that his fans attributed to him during the campaign. It’s very obvious that he’s “flat and odd” about things he doesn’t give a damn about. Also note his reactions to those who disagree with him. These are behaviors of a petulant teenager.

Ah, the koolaid is wearing off I see. Bill O’Reilly is NOT a conservative. He is a blow-hard whose opinion swings to whichever side he figures his bread is buttered on. He really brought this home during the ’08 campaign season. He was just adamantly against TheWon, ranted and raved about this and that – until he scored an interview with him, which he softballed entirely. After that, he practically endorsed Obama, had nothing but good things to say about him. That was when I stopped watching him. I’ve been surprised recently to see him writing for Town Hall.
I’ve also been surprised lately to click on links on the Fox website for news stories only to be taken to AOL – you’ve heard of AOL-Time-Warner, right? Frequently.

Greetings:
As a printer by trade, I’m very much a “visual” person. Several times, during our President’s speech last evening, I thought I saw the same look I used to have on my face during my periodic trips to the principal’s office at St. Margaret Mary’s Elementary School back in the Bronx. As much as lying can delay an outcome, it tends to get exponentially more difficult with the passage of time.
