  1. The DSA is a real organization, the Democratic Socialists of America, and one that I was proud to be a member of — St. Louis chapter — for a time (we organized for national healthcare back in the late-1980s).

Don’t know if that’s the same group they’re talking about here but the idea that *any* American socialist organization of the last 80 years could count more than three or four Congressional members among their ranks is pretty laughable.

Hate to break it to you but these days it’s basically just Bernie Sanders.

  2. This is total BS. The Socialist Party of America ceased to exist in 1973. The DSA doesn’t have an Oct. 2009 newsletter only Fall of 2009. The SP-USA also doesn’t have the newsletter in their archives.

  3. The list is no surprise as many of you said. Also, there is reason for caution –also as many of you said.

The best thing to do is prepare THEIR RESPONSE:

    1. so what–it’s legal

    2. we are mainstream

    3. you right wing extremist

    4. we’re not as radical as the tea parties

    5. see–in your face (by actions)

    6. we are fully integrated and tolerant–not like the tea parties

    7. we know what’s best for you

    8. try to stop us

    9. so what’s wrong with that?

    10. power to the people!

    etc etc etc

    I say–DE FANG THE DEMOCRATS!!

THIS IS GOING TO TAKE LOTS OF PRAYER AND LOTS OF WORK WORK WORK–DON’T STOP UNTIL NOV 3 AND EVEN IF OUR CANDIDATES DON’T WIN–WE CAN EXPOSE THIS

  4. This was certainly an interesting read, but whether or not a candidate declares himself a liberal/progressive/socialist or a conservative/right-wing/family friendly republican, each voter has the responsibility of checking a candidate’s public stand on issues and voting record. The reason we have a defunct government now is because the population is ignorant, ill-informed, lazy, and negligent.
Get the facts! Make a stand! Vote!

  5. And let’s not forget our first true Socialist President, George W. Bush, the man who brought us TARP!
