Unreal. Obama Touts "Enormous Progress" Urges Reporters to Focus on Broken Economy

Barack Obama is the worst president in history on job creation–
According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. shed 2.3 million jobs since February 2009, Obama’s first full month in office. Since Obama’s election in 2008, the US economy has shed 4.4 million jobs. That’s worse than Herbert Hoover.
The US economy lost another 125,000 jobs in June. Just ask Alvin Greene.
Barack Obama’s Keynesian policies have failed miserably. Democrats blew a Trillion dollars on a failed stimulus bill and all they managed to do was triple the national deficit in one year.
The national debt will represent 62% of the nation’s economy by the end of this year, the highest percentage since just after World War II.
Today Barack Obama touted “enormous progress” as he urged reporters to focus on the economy.
Really.
The Hill reported:
President Obama sought to promote his administration’s accomplishments on the economy this past week after spending it mired in the controversy over Shirley Sherrod.
Obama made remarks early Friday afternoon touting the Wall Street reform legislation and unemployment insurance extension he signed into law this week, part of a three-pronged strategy to bolster the economy.
“We made enormous progress this week,” Obama said in remarks at the White House.
But the president’s words sought to escape the shadow of the controversy involving the firing of Sherrod, an Agriculture Department official who received an apology from Obama himself after she was mistakenly forced to resign.
That controversy dominated the news cycle on Wednesday, when Obama signed Wall Street reform into law, and to a lesser extent on Thursday, when he signed the unemployment benefits into law after a long Senate impasse.
Obama sure must have confidence that the state-run media will carry his water.

In his mind, it was a real ‘progressive’ week: 2.5 million back on unemployment to “stimulate” the economy (Pelosi’s words) and a massivie financial reform law that will cost the average American untold amounts of money to cover the taxes imposed on the banks. For Obama, the lap-dog media, and the crooks in Congress, this was a really great week.
