The Left Introduces Coffee Party, Cocoa Party, “One Nation” to Counter Conservative Tea Party
First the left introduced the Coffee Party.
Then they introduced the Cocoa Party.
This week the left came out with their latest astroturfed group to counter the tea party… “One Nation.”
The Washington Post reported, via News Alert:
If imitation is the highest form of flattery, the “tea party” movement must be honored.
In an effort to replicate the tea party’s success, 170 liberal and civil rights groups are forming a coalition that they hope will match the movement’s political energy and influence. They promise to “counter the tea party narrative” and help the progressive movement find its voice again after 18 months of floundering.
The large-scale attempt at liberal unity, dubbed “One Nation,” will try to revive themes that energized the progressive grassroots two years ago. In a repurposing of Barack Obama’s old campaign slogan, organizers are demanding “all the change” they voted for — a poke at the White House.
Too bad about that coffee party.

This reminds all of the old ‘con’ of the so-called “MOVE ON” swindle.
You know, Democrats pretending to be independent, wanting the American Public to MOVE ON from the Clinton Malfeasance – professing an ethical interest in important issues facing the Nation, while they were merely unethical Democrats hoping to protect negligent Democrats.
The same theme is now being peddled, calling for UNITY in the facade titled “one nation”. They simply think Americans are stupid, believing we will all forget about their overt vitriol and slander of “NOT MY PRESIDENT” garbage when a Republican occupied the White House.
Now they want to end Partisanship, as Obama and his fellow Democrats use the most Partisan garbage for more cheap politics, the same they used to gain power.
It is simply so absurd, to see how unethical the Democrat Partisans have become. How utterly low and misguided they will sink. They are making more of a mess today, just as they debased Our economy with the exploitation of the Mortgage Industry, or weakened the National Security of the USA throughout the 1990′s.
Obama, Hillary, and Smart Power has not only further divided the USA, they have weakened historic FREE Democratic Alliances.
This is a disaster, and is heading towards a genuine Constitutional Crisis. This amazing Union is in trouble. It is sad to see, but no surprise knowing how dishonest and misguided the Democratic Party has become.

I have to say I am impressed that the word “progressive” was used twice to name the movement. I think “progressive” points to a more sinister agenda than “liberal” does (as “liberal” is a misnomer, any way).

We’ve seen this in the past. They end up hiring people (ACORN and various unions have provided manpower in the past) to protest. They pay them a fixed amount, provide a box lunch, machine made signs and then drive them someplace in a bus where they’re dropped off. When they’re done ‘protesting’ the bus picks them up and drives them back to whatever urban cess pit they crawled out of earlier in the day.

The Founding Fathers did NOT envision a society in which everyone was free from material want. Their vision was such that every man could pursue his aims without infringing on another’s similar pursuit.
To use the power of the State to foster material equality by confiscation from others is anathema to the philosophy put forth in the Founding Documents. The advancement of regulation only rubs salt into what is already a mortal wound.

I have had the same thought. Beck even hinted at this. He said the 8/28 event is turning into something that has not happened in 230 years.
