How does some far left anti-white radical linked to terrorist Bill Ayers get a high level job in the Department of Agriculture?
Representative Steve King (R-IA) wants an investigation.
Via Breitbart TV and the Ben Shapiro Show:
From the video: Rep. Steve King tells radio talk show host Ben Shapiro that there are very curious circumstances behind Shirley Sherrod’s initial hiring at the USDA and calls for investigations into the matter.
This is an amazing interview. Rep. King claims that 75-99% of reparations paid in the Pickford Farms Case.
At first they believed that 1,000 – 2,000 black farmers were discriminated against. More than 20,000 claims were paid out when even the President of the black farmers association admitted there were only 18,000 black farmers in America.
One of the recipients of the largest payout in the Pickford case was none other than Shirley Sherrod.
Rep. King says there ought to be an investigation on this if the GOP wins back the gavel in November.

Of course Sherrod has come to terms with Whitey. Whitey paid her off and gave her a cushy Gov. job. She is another race baiting fraud. Bill Ayers involved in corruption and race baiting? Say it isn’t so.

Mr. King, this whole administration needs to be investigated.
Just_Saying commented:
There ought to be an investigation of her hiring even if the GOP fails to win control of the House.
Remember, days after a $13 million settlement in Sherrod’s favor, she was given the job (by the losing party). Something’s fishy…

Where are the weepy wimpy trolls? This is not about poor Shirley Sherrod and Barack Obama is NOT prepared for this to come out right now. Hence the firing.
These arrogant journolisters think they can control the message and give Sherrod a job back and keep this out of the news but they should not be able to.

I don’t understand what entitled the Sherrods to $300,000 for pain and suffering plus a government job on top of the pain and suffering award.
My Dad was a poor farmer. I’m pretty sure he got turned down for things several times by the Ag Agent. Plus I know he lived with pain every day after a tree fell on him in 1948. What made the Sherrods so $300,000 special?
StandUpChuck commented:
My grandparents were poor farmers. No AG Agent help. They just struggled to stay afloat. They lived the depression and stayed in a depression till the day they died (early 1990′s). They didnt have running water in their house until the late 1960′s. One difference in my grandparents and the Sherrod clan, they were white. No one came to their aid, they didnt get thousands of dollars in settlements. They worked for every damn dime they earned. Multiple jobs held at a time all while farming the land. I am sick of these parasites sitting around waiting on their handouts. The day is comming and its not going to be pretty.

That’s fine to ask Qs about this settlement and her role in it. I think the Ayers thing’s a bit of a stretch. It stinks of piling on, frankly. Hanging on to the video–which Beck suspects may be a set up by the White House–and relying on her story of change of heart to call her racist is over-reach and takes away GP’s and Breitbart’s–and Allman’s–credibility.
Lay off her being a racist b/c of that video. Talk about this settlement and her big pay out. Don’t focus on this low-level functionary so much that you neglect Black Panthers, the attacks on Gladney, etc.
olm commented:
Look, she is a racist. Pure and simple. How does that do anything to anyone else’s crediblity?
There is alot here that needs to be investigated and I hope, unlike the election and the time leading up to it, real journalists are digging.
They need to dig at this lawsuit but also at the story of Sherrod’s father. I don’t understand why a couple who successfully goes after the government for a huge chunk of money would let a murderer off the hook.

Economic Savings Program”"
THE THREE YEAR ECONOMIC SAVINGS Program was established by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1964. This program called for black people to pool their resources by contributing $10 a month to help fight against poverty, want, unemployment, abominable housing, hunger and nakedness of the 30-40 million black people in America. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan re-established this program in October 1991 because we still continue face these same problems today. The Program’s name might imply that it was to last for only three years. However this will be an ongoing program until the problems of our people are eradicated.
In December 1994, we were able to purchase, with contributions from the Three Year Economic Saving Program, some farmland located in Bronwood, Georgia. This land is located in the northeast corner of Terrell county, which is in the southwest part of Georgia, not far from the Florida border. The farm consists of 1556 acres of land that stretches 1.45 miles east and west and 2 miles north and south. The farm, which is called Muhammad Farms, was once part of a 4500-acre farm owned by the Nation of Islam until the 1970s. If it is Allah’s (God) will, with your continued support and prayers we plan to repurchase the remaining acreage in the near future……”" Just a sample!

If the press had done their job and told America of the racism inherent in this position, instead of making it sound like some benign touchy-feely help everyone job, Obama would have been outed long ago.

Where ya been for the last thirty years dude? It got really bad by the late 1980′s. The credo of the Civil Circus was, “Anybody but a white boy.” We saw one incompetent after another put in upper level positions because they were female, or a minority (bonus points for a female minority with a limp). Many of us bad old white boys took early retirement and went back to industry and I’m glad I did.
Hedgehog commented:
The first thing Rep. King ought to do is strip the language from the Supplemental Appropriations Bill that provides funding in the amount of $1.15 Billion to settle the Pigford II claims, and the $3.45 Billion to settle Native American claims. That case needs a thorough airing, and would probably go far in explaining how Sherrod got into the Department of Agriculture in the first place.
Sojourner commented:
..AB took one hell of a risk, placing his own credibility on the line and accomplished precisely what he set out to do with both the NAACP and then, the WH. It may have been messy, but he exposed both entities to be the phony, knee-jerk race baiters they are.
A minute or 2 of tape put both on the immediate defense and within hours, they’d thrown Sherrod under the bus. Why didn’t they investigate the matter first? Usually, they would circle the wagons..why not this time?
Of course, follow the $$..& as they say in the NFL, now, go to the tapes and review the play again. Shirley Sherrod’s story may be measured by the amazing grace of redemption or may be the story of a woman & her hubby, mollified by a $300K pay out in Pigford cash, to remeasure their racial ‘tone’ in light of the redemptive grace that flows from the Marxist honey pot of government reparations. Either way, it’s going to get interesting..we can’t survive as a Nation much longer if we don’t get the massive fraud and waste in these massive government agencies out into the light of day.
Susie commented:
During one of her many television appearances this morning, Ms. Sherrod allowed as how claims in the billion+ range are being paid by the government to black, Native American and women farmers. However, we are to breathe easy because this fund has been set aside by the government. It is not being paid for with “taxpayer money.” Where does this woman think the money comes from??? That lame-brained comment alone makes the circumstances of her hiring very suspect.
Hugh commented:
Also–any others prior to the “white farmer” that may have been victimized by her racism should be looked into. Why has no one considered what she may have done prior to her so called “redemption”. And her “redemption” is rather dubious given the comments she makes in that full video. The full video pretty much reaffirms what the initial take was. And her history and affiliations also play into it. What we have here is a mixed bag. On the one hand, the turnaround regarding the white farmer is great I suppose, but her other comments regarding anyone against Obamacare being racist and the reaction of the NAACP members (laughing at her story about the farmer and how she regarded him) belies something quite different than someone who has changed their views via an epiphany. Quit being PC people. This one is not quite as clear cut as the dems would like you to believe.

No doubt black farmers and anyone black claiming to be a farmer was given a payout….all on the back of the whitey ‘haves’. This woman should be in jail.

Amen brother. The whole time I’m wondering, who even thinks like this? Ever? Once you’re past 12 years old in this country, you’d think one could get beyond superficial differences. Not these people. Skin color and how much money you happen to have on any given day is EVERYTHING to Obama, Sherrod, and the likes.

What’s the problem with her credentials? She’s a black woman in a country that places people because of the color of their skin, not the content of their character.
The Bill Ayres link can only be a plus in this administration. And being a grifter is not grounds for disqualification.
How’s that hope and change working for you, America?

Based on 20,000 farmers, each got $650,000 tax free money from taxpayers, by playing the race card. But there were really only 18,000 total black farmers.

I think that Obama adm. is baiting conservatives and the teaparty. The Sherrod thing was intentionly put out there by Obama & NAACP to bait Glenn and Fox so that they would lay off the Black Panthers voter intimidation and the corruption of the DOJ & Obama.

Joe Shuren commented:
Pigford claimed that the Reagan administration USDA abolished their Office of Civil Rights. Settlement of the claims was made difficult by the fact that race was not accurately recorded but loans given color-blind. More than 90,000 claimed to be black farmers discriminated against, and that they had filed claims that were not dealt with. USDA’s AgCensus has recorded a fall from more than a million black farmers in 1900 to about 26,000 in recent years; Obama claimed 18,000.The biggest drop was caused by blacks unable to compete with mechanization so they moved North. But many farmers lost their farms in the 1980s as interest rates rose–those who had lower interest loans from before survived. Some farmers in the South were able to get by planting pine trees, but black farmers did not do so. However, Track A of the Pigford settlement did not require proving actual damages. There is no reason to believe the billions of dollars will go to increasing numbers of black farmers or improving agricultural productivity. Farming is a risky business and most loans go and should go to those who can pay them back rather than to those with the right color of skin. Food does not discriminate on farmers’ skin. Finally, payment of reparations is not likely to promote reconciliation and forgiveness. There needs to be committee hearings on Pigford and Pigford II, a recorded vote, not a voice vote on an appropriations rider without debate, a GAO audit as demanded by the Congressional Black Caucus, release of names and addresses of all who got money (who are the 14 in DC?) and officials who denied loans, and no administrative payment from the Treasury Department without Congressional oversight.
