Yes, things are that bad for the democrats…
Rep. Betty Sutton (Lib-Ohio) called for indicted Democrat Charles Rangel to resign on Friday.
The Hill reported:
In a major development, Rep. Betty Sutton (D-Ohio) on Friday night called on beleaguered Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) to resign.
Sutton’s statement comes one day after the House ethics committee charged the 80-year-old Democrat with multiple violations.
In a statement to The Hill, Sutton stated, “It is regrettable, but Charlie Rangel needs to resign from his seat in Congress. This isn’t about being a Democrat or Republican, this is about preserving the public trust. Our nation is facing extraordinary challenges and we must be focused on building a sustainable economy that will allow our workers and businesses to flourish.”
Sutton has built a reputation as a crusader for congressional ethics. In 2008, she led the fight to pass legislation creating the Office of Congressional Ethics, which now serves as an independent ethics body within the House of Representatives.

They want him to resign so that the nefarious deeds the rest of them are partnered with him in don’t become public.

I’m willing to bet that the race cards will be flying onto the table very soon. A beloved elderly black man is being called on the carpet to answer for some simple mistakes committed while he was trying to save the country from George W. Bush. What could be more racist than that?
When this is all over, the usual asskissers will be doling out apologies and lifetime achievement awards.
He may hurt the Democrats, but he’ll get re-elected in a landslide. His constituents can identify with him more than ever now.

I am more internested in the Statement made by the Democratic Rep Ms Sutton.
I would like to point out to her that they are not and will never as she puts it “our (gov’t) workers”. This very slight slip contiunues to prove the problem. Government Reps thinking we are there workers.

Rangel is 80 years OLD?!?
These guys just never know when to stop pushing the limit whether it is: when to retire, or what ethical boundary to cross.

Burmashave,
Why retire…They are having so much fun attending gala affairs and making millions off the backs of taxpayers. As well, they have legions of adoring fans who put them in office to continue shaking down the rest of us to get thems what they deserve…Why retire when “serving” the country is so much fun…Rangel, Byrd, McCain and other bastards who won’t go home continue to destroy the original intent of the founders. The founders expected “disinterested” citizen patriots to do their duty and go home, not appoint themselves the new royalty so that they could stay for a lifetime…

Team Obama has quite a record of getting rid of problems, and keeping the lips of corruption sealed. Why even Blago abruptly rested his case without testifying. Massa was pushed out and his appearance on beck was like Al Capone’s vault. Rangel has been quite a problem . Pelosi has been singing “Cheer up Charlie” for months hoping he will take her golden ticket to Wonka land, but Charlie is forcing a game of hardball. This may well come down to some union thug like Bob Beckel showing up at Charlie’s Harlem apartment and forcing him to make a telephone call to Sergeant Menzies as in this classic Touch of Evil scene…. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NrsD2dfNLs

Where were the Democrats’ calls for resignation eight months back? Why did they let Rangel keep much of his power (he “temporarily” stepped aside from chairing the House Ways and Means Committee) for all these past several months while the Democrats plundered the country’s treasury? Why did they wait until now? Oh. It’s because this will now damage THEIR chances of re-election. This isn’t a sudden surge of ‘Let’s do the right thing’. This is called DISENGENUOUS ‘Covering Your Backside’!!!

Though Sutton is in what would typically be regarded as a fairly safe district (+9, +12, & +15 for Gore, Kerry, and Obama respectively), her communist voting record (lifetime ACU rating of 3 along with votes this year for Obamacare, cap n trade, & stimulus) combined with the fact that this is no ordinary election year may help explain her call for Charlie to resign.

Well, now. We also have Dodd and Frank who should have been forced out long ago. If they can just find a woman shakedown artist, they’ll have all the bases covered. They should act now before Dodd ‘s term is complete.
I’ve always liked Rangel. He reminds me of Krauthammer. With respect to style, at least. I have absolute confidence in Rangel, however, he absolutely cannot be trusted.

rotflmbo!!
something tells me Sutton may not be faring too well with his constituents.. either that, or he’s part of a concerted effort to
paint a new face on the Dhimmi Dems..
who of course, are years late & outrage short when it comes to CR, but hey, the man is on his way out one way or another, so why not make the best of out of his never-ending crisis and stick a fork in him..

So this is a story about another corrupt Dhimocrat politician? Ho, hum. Wake me up when we get to Baltimore. No one who counts for anything cares. kato is spot on. He’s even more of a hero to his constituents, now.
For generations the 15th of New York as got to have been the lowest academic-achievement district in the nation. And not accidentally, either – if Charlie’s had his way.

Oh, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. I can’t take it. That was the funniest thing I read all day.
PRESERVING the public TRUST.

You said it, “rotflmbo!!”

Term Limits and age limits now! 72 years old and you have to leave. period..retire..take a trip..whatever… because at 72 the brain no longer functions at top capacity and with over 40 years stealing from the people it’s time he goes. Lock him up and throw away the key. He too helped to steal the primary for B Hussein. And don’t you forget it. He forced Hillary to give the primary to B Hussein by “acclimation” and the first time in the history of our nation there was NOT a roll call vote at the convention! Depicable POS.
