Radical FOX-Hater Sherrod Wants Big Government Website Shut Down – Lies About NAACP Audience Reaction to Speech

Far left anti-white radical Shirley Sherrod who is linked to terrorist Bill Ayers wants Big Government website shut down “for the betterment of the country.”

Sherrod also said the NAACP audience was not laughing at her racist remarks during her speech in March.
Oh really?
It sure sounded like they were laughing.
But don’t expect the media to point this out.
Sherrod wants Big Government shut down.
CNN reported, via Kristinn:
Sherrod said she was offered some type of civil rights position in the department’s Office of Outreach, and that she was expecting to receive something official in an e-mail from the department. She said Thursday she had not had a chance to see that yet…
…But “I would not want to be the one person at USDA that’s responsible for issues of discrimination within the agency,” she said. “You know, there’s a lawsuit by black farmers, there’s a lawsuit by Hispanic and Native American and women farmers … There are changes that would need to happen in order to once and for all really deal with discrimination.”
…The audience at the March event, she said, was “not laughing … I literally had people on the edge of their seats because I want their attention so that I could then get to the real message.”
She said if Breitbart’s site were shut down, “That would be a great thing, because I don’t see how that advances us in this country … at a time when we should be trying to look at how we can make space for all of us in this country, so that we can all live and work together, he’s doing more to divide us.”

You know, Shirl, there were a lot of conservatives, even the much feared Glenn Beck, who thought it was unfair you got canned for describing something that happened 24 years ago (although I still find the prospect of government bureaucrats not doing their jobs because of the race of the people seeking their help EXTREMELY disturbing…just as the government has taken over our health care). But just as a leopard can’t change his spots, I think that you still have a lot of resentment toward the successful and productive, or anyone who represents the successful and productive to you.

Breitbart claims that the purpose of his display of the Sherrod video was to show that a group like the NAACP, who claimed the Tea Party had racist elements, was themselves racist. He claims that the Sherrod video acts as evidence of this fact, due to their applause and laughter (or at least a lack of “boos and hisses”) during her discription of ‘discrimination against the farmer’. I suggest it serves as no such evidence because Breitbart makes certain assumptions about what they’re laughing at, and it certainly does not exhibit pandemonium. I could just as easily say they were actually laughing at themselves because they could relate her story to their own thoughts at the time–and that could be just as correct an interpretation, probably more so, as Breitbart’s.
Just keep on ‘not thinking’, like a good conservative.

While I commend Shirley Sherrod for admitting that her past racism, of discriminating against a white farmer, was wrong, I think many posters on here are missing a very important point.
Mrs Sherrod did NOT have to use terminology like “his own kind”, and “his white lawyer” while telling a story about how she did not use her full force to help the white farmer.
I did see the redemption toward the end of her speech about how there should be no difference between blacks, whites, and hispanics…but I don’t care how anyone explains it to me…it does not make any sense to still use that terminology when explaining past racism.
If everyone would look at this honestly, and flip this around with a white person telling the story, then I believe people would see the hypocracy here.
If a white person told this story, referrring to blacks as “their own kind”, and later admitted that blacks and whites should be treated the same…wouldn’t the white person be expected to also admit that it is wrong to refer to another race as “their own kind”?
Mrs Sherrod did admit that her job should be color blind, but it would have been nice if she had admonished her audience that it is wrong to speak about other races as “their own kind”. Mrs Sherrod appeared on video to have an endearing quality to her. I’m sure she is a nice person at heart.
If Glenn Beck was caught on tape referring to other races as “their own kind”, while trying to tell a story of redemption, he would be pilloried. Critics would say he should have motioned quotation marks with his hands while using the term “their own kind”, to show that he does not currently agree with using that terminology. Let’s be honest about this.
I don’t know if Mrs Sherrod harbors racist attitudes towards whites today, but I believe that Black Panthers and many in the NAACP do harbor negative racist attitudes towards whites.
I disagree with those that have bashed Jim Hoft on here on earlier posts about Sherrod. Jim has proven to be one of the best trustworthy conservative bloggers out there.
I agree with Mrs Sherrod that it would be nice to see more white people setting with blacks at speeches like she gave……..but that day will probably come faster when people stop using racist terminology that separates us.
