Oil Exec's Wife Injured By Bomb Left at Front Doorstep

Shrapnel flew up on the roof of the home. The home is owned by a local oil company executive.

An oil executive’s wife was injured by a bomb left at the family’s doorstep yesterday.
ABC Local reported:
The woman was opening a package left at her doorstep in the 2100 block of Seamist Court Friday evening. She had found the shoe-sized box in front of her home about a day ago but didn’t decide to open it until around 6:30pm Friday.
The woman, who officials said is in her 60s, took the box to the backyard and opened it on the patio. That’s when it exploded.
“Don’t know where it came from — postal service or whether it was dropped off. I don’t have that information yet,” said HPD Lt. Colin Weatherly.”The person went outside, basically opened the packaged; it detonated.”
Residents told Eyewitness News that when the bomb went off, it sounded like a transformer blew.
The woman was transported to Northwest Memorial Hospital with facial injuries that are not life-threatening.
Officials with the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, as well as the Houston Police Department’s homicide and bomb squad were at the scene investigating.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the house was targeted, however, Eyewitness News found out the home is owned by an oil company executive.

Which means this: Oil company executives and workers, it’s time to pack some heat. At all times.

This was definitely an act of domestic terrorism. Any and all oil companies in TX have a big target over their buildings. I advise them to arm themselves to the gills and be ready.

This is a lot worse than many will think. This is a result of the constant “green light” bashing Obama has done on businesses, the white race, conservatives and others.
Some Presidents do not really grasp how much they can influence people in the country. Carter didn’t, GWB did, Obama either doesn’t or does and wants violence.
This is only the start. As he continues to whine and blame others, radical people on his side are going to take it as approval to do violence. A bomb like that is a terror weapon. It was never meant to target the husband. It was meant the terrorize the husband. The victim could have been his wife, his daughter or even a small child.
Think this through. In this country are people who support and follow Obama who thinks terror bombings are a good thing. We are in a war with an entire set of people halfway around the world because they thought the same thing.
With Obama and Holder in charge there is no guarantee anyone will be brought to justice over this, especially if the perps are favorites of his.
One more thing, bloggers are not exempt from being targeted. If I were in the big ten- Hotair, Malkin, Gateway, Drudge, P&P and others, I would not be in a hurry to pick up anything I didn’t recognize as being mine. Or open my front door without looking first, or getting out of my car in a parking lot without circling at least once and see if anyone else is doing the same thing.

Slow down, folks. Statistically, it is far more likely this was a domestic violence thing rather than political terrorism. Give me $50 and a ride to Lowes and I’ll return with a pipe bomb. They aren’t hi-tech. What happened is a crime, obviously, but it requires *evidence* before we go off deciding it was anti-oil terrorists, Obamanatics, or even a domestic violence event.
I wouldn’t be surprised to learn hubby or somebody tried to have his wife bumped off, that it had nothing to do with oil companies or politics.

Almost like she knew it was going to be destructive and didn’t want to do damage to the residence. Makes little sense to me. I guess she was far more comfortable out in the Houston heat opening a package! Sounds a little suspect to me. Oil exec trying to point a finger at someone else and draw a little sympathy?
