An illegal alien jailed in Minnesota for theft received surgery for an inflatable penis pump.
Valley News reported, via Doug Powers:
A man in the country illegally who committed a $27,000 identity-theft crime in Scott County was able to obtain tens of thousands of dollars in governmental medical assistance, including surgery for an inflatable penis pump.
In response to heightened concern about illegal immigration since a gang-related stabbing in Shakopee, Scott County Attorney Pat Ciliberto has been tallying known costs to taxpayers and gave this example.
“There’s no logical argument for why that should have been approved,” Ciliberto told county commissioners on Tuesday. “I don’t know how many illegal aliens are getting emergency medical assistance for such a procedure.”
Probably just part of the Stimulus package.

GM received 935 appeals related to complete wind-downs and granted 64 reversals. GM did not document the reasons for the reinstating dealerships. When SIGTARP requested explanations of the reversals, GM contacted various field representatives to obtain their undocumented recollections of the reasons for reinstatements. the reasons provided to SIGTRAP included the desire to maintain market coverage in rural areas, recent facility upgrades, corrections of erroneous score data, GM legal advice, and GM leadership review. Without proper documentation from GM SIGTARP could not validate the reasoning or consistency of appeal decisions.
GM did not provide guidance on specific data that dealerships were to submit as part of the appeals process.
GM reversed this dealership’s closure, but did not document why the appeal was granted.

HOWEVER GM and Chrysler officials, along and auto team officials, emphasized that these estimates were not considered in their decisions to terminate dealerships,but were developed in response to congressional inquiries and in preparation for congressional testimony in june 2009 i.e. after terminations.
Indeed, key members of the auto team- including Messer, Rattner and Bloom stated that they did not consider cost savings to be a factor in determining the need for dealerships closures.

Welcome to The Peoples Republic of Minnesota. We have the largest population of Somalis in America along with thousands of Mexicans. Thirty years ago we brought in thousands of Hmong and then sort of just dropped them here.
Now we’ve got Asian gangs shooting up the place, Somalis threatening you at the airport if you have alcohol in your bags as you catch a taxi, Somali women causing havoc at the grocery stores as they ignore every rule and dare you to say anything, etc., etc.
