Figures. Shirley Sherrod Is Linked to Terrorist Bill Ayers

It’s days like these that you begin to wonder is there anyone in this administration who is not a communist, radical, socialist, terror-sympathizer?
You really have to wonder some days.
Guess what? White farmer-hater Shirley Sherrod is linked to Bill Ayers.

An announcement of Ms. Sherrod’s July 2009 appointment to her USDA position at ruraldevelopment.org gives off quite a few clues:
RDLN Graduate and Board Vice Chair Shirley Sherrod was appointed Georgia Director for Rural Development by Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack on July 25. Only days earlier, she learned that New Communities, a group she founded with her husband and other families (see below) has won a thirteen million dollar settlement in the minority farmers law suit Pigford vs Vilsack.
This must-read story at Illinois Review and The Washington Examiner also reveals that Ms. Sherrod’s husband is a former honcho in the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee back in the 1960’s. You can read more about it in Bill Ayers book “Fugitive Days.” Yes, that Bill Ayers. He was involved in SNCC as well.

After re-reading this story several times I’ve officially decided that this website HAS to be a joke. So because Sherrod’s husband was in SNCC, and Bill Ayers also was in SNCC, there is some sort of nefarious implication? Do you guys even know what SNCC was??? And how is it that by 12:13pm July 21 there is still a story like this on Sherrod when it is widely agreed upon that she is a victim of character assassination. Really reaching on this one. I also love how this story just happened to come out after NAACP asked Tea Party to repudiate its racist elements. Can’t believe cut up Sherrod clips were the best that the Right could come up with to try and refute the claim by showing that someone from the left was racist too. Just, wow.

Gee, now that the White House has apologized to Sherrod, is mulling offering her job back (which she isn’t certain she wants back [cue cute, coy smile from her interview today on ABC or where ever]), and she has her government check for $13 million, do you think the MSM/White House will offer Inspector General of the AmeriCorps Gerald Walpin, who was illegally fired for telling the truth about Kevin Johnson’s illegal funds mismanagement, his job back with an apology and back pay? P.S. CK: Mr. Walpin suffered extreme character assassination. Did you speak up about his situation too? This is still a story because the left flings racism charges around like confetti at a 4-year-old’s birthday party when they encounter someone who disagrees with their nannycare state of mind. Andrew Breitbart posted what was provided to him; don’t make it sound as though he picked and chose what video to use. Know what you’re talking about before you start the argument. Calling this website a joke reveals your weak argument. FYI: I was around in the 60s, marched against the war, and was a lifelong liberal until I woke up and realized continuing to give to those who won’t provide for themselves was a losing cause. So, yes, there are many of us who where there when SNCC, the Panthers and all the other angry folks who felt so damn entitled to whatever they felt they deserved organized their angry, and often dangerous, groups.

I just can’t make my mind up about this website. It seems to consist of an inconsistent mix of genuinely worthy reporting and outright silliness. I think the ratio is about 50/50. Jim Hoft is sensible and accurate in one post, then the next he’s going way over the top, stretching things way past any reasonable notion of elasticity and generally trying to spice things up with contrived drama. This is one example.
That’s not to say I don’t enjoy this blog immensely and appreciate some of the fine work that JH contributes to the cause, but damn his output needs pruning sometimes.

Been trying to stay out of taking a position til more info was known…but some thoughts:
—something smells if she got the job at Dept. Agriculture at the same time she and her husband strike a million-dollar settlement with now Secy. Agriculture.
—that Pigscam business they were involved in – begun a decade or more ago (like the subprime mortgage mess?) – could it have been just another Leftie way to “redistribute the wealth” — One that’s remained safely hidden…until now? Is this what the administration and its commie pals don’t want us to find out?
Shirley clearly tells the NAACP that while “…it’s still black versus white, it’s also the haves versus the have-nots.”
Marxists can always use another have-not, no matter what color he might be. I’m not ready to let Shirley off the hook.

So, Vilsack appointed her as part of the settlement in the Pigford (in which he was defendant) case? Is this kosher?

Fine, so Jim Hoft’s blog is 100% infallible and unlike any other blogger in existence, he’s completely and utterly beyond reproach even when he’s stretching the truth in order to spice up his blog with a sensationalist headline.
