Good. Despite enormous pressure from the democratic-media complex, Andrew Breitbart is not folding like a lawn chair. The media wants desperately for Breitbart to admit wrongdoing in the Sherrod racial incident. Instead, he is lashing back at the media for misrepresenting his story, her words and the audience’s reaction to her incredibly offensive and racist speech.
The Politico reported:
An unrepentant Andrew Breitbart told POLITICO on Thursday that the Obama administration and its allies have manufactured a controversy over the video he posted of Shirley Sherrod’s speech to the NAACP as part of an orchestrated effort to take him down.
“I am public enemy No. 1 or 2 to the Democratic Party, the progressive movement and the Obama administration based upon the successes my journalism has had,” Breitbart said in a telephone interview late Thursday morning as he headed to the airport for what he said was a long-planned, three-day vacation.
Breitbart asserted that liberal media outlets are shifting the focus to the misleading excerpting in the videos he posted — as well as his erroneous statement about the context of the footage — to divert attention from what he asserts is a double standard on racist behavior exposed by the video, which he released Monday to push back against a recently passed NAACP resolution expressing concern about “racist elements” in the tea party movement.
“The desire here is to make it about me and not the Democratic establishment and the NAACP vs. the tea party,” Breitbart said, defending the footage he posted as “a self-contained newsworthy video that established the media standard of pointing out that the NAACP countenanced racism in its own award dinner setting. That was the point. That was the point. And the video proves it.”
He offered no apology to Sherrod but said that she has not been held accountable for the racial overtones of what she said.
“If anybody reads the sainted, martyred Sherrod’s entire speech, this person has not gotten past black vs. white,” he said.

Let’s not forget her little aside remark “It’s not so much about white – it IS about white and black”
And “I took him to one of his own”
Both comments reveal a preoccupation with race, as stated on March 27 of this year.
Now, we have an assumption being promulgated that opposition to Obama is because of race, from a member of a race that supports Obama by some 95%.
I think that Sherrod is “not interested in seeing anyone get past black vs. white”.

The Sherrod charade continues…
Thank you Andrew for exposing the charade that Sharrod is – and esepecially the NAACP charade.

IMO, this should read “not interested in allowing anyone to get past black vs white”.

They want Breitbart’s scalp badly. He really nailed them twice (ACORN and debunking the healthcare day “n-word” story) and now he must be taken down.
It’s time to stand up for him. We know Gateway Pundit has and will continue to do so.

Ever notice when Blacks get together like the NAACP and the Black Panthers they like to bash whites.
I believe the blacks truly are a racist people.

Didn’t Obama speak to her via phone before these racist attacks against Brietbart started? Just how deeply connected is Obama into the messaging strategy being deployed? When the nation is losing jobs and the private sector is being gutted, when the debt levels rise to new records, when our Constitution is under assault, is Obama doing his job? Or is he spending his time working the MSM and Propoganda machine?
Chrissy B commented:
I posted this at Facebook–Obama and his lap-dog media are using this to divert our attention. While we’re focusing on race relations, Obama has scheduled not one, but two more vacations–one to the Gulf (or is that golf) Coast, and another one to Martha’s Vineyard. Sherrod has gotten her 15 minutes…time to move on and focus on what is important–economy & jobs.

so if I watch a video of people of color x and see them denigrate people of color y again and again and come to think that they may be racist then I’m the one that can’t get past x vs y ????
really, you want to try that defense of possible racists, i.e. calling someone who notices the racism a racist …
Holder had it half right, half of the people in this debate are cowards …
Kevin P commented:
Chkn Fryd – you need to think about it. Put it in context.
I never noticed the color of Obama’s skin until the MSM pointed it out.
In the context of our daily lives most Americans look past race and look to character. When the NAACP refuses to allow us to do that – by constantly playing the race card – it brings the context to the NAACP.

Of course they are targeting Breitbart. The Alinsky protocol didn’t work too well on the Tea Party. Hard to freeze and polarize and entire movement. Better to go after one lone person.

BY DEFINITION since this is how you perceived the whole of the movie — in terms of race and racism. So if your criticism of the NAACP is their stance on race, i.e., white v. black, then you reserve for yourself the rights you would deny to them and others — to be as wrong as they want to be regarding opinons about this issue. Going back to your movie example, both Breitbart and the NAACP are talking about the racism in the film, but one sides with X and the other Y. “And since the other guy is just wrong about this, that proves their racist.” Maybe, but it also says more about you than you think.
Think about it.

I’ll say it again. Andy Breitbart is the Audie Murphy of conservative journalists. He repeatedly puts it right between the eyes of our enemies on the political battlefield.
It’s disturbing that a number of hand wringing conservatives are out apologizing that Andy’s gun makes too much noise and might scare pets and children. Glad to see Gateway Pundit is offering him firm support. That clanging sound you hear is just what conservatism needs.

Notice how the Illegals have all but disappeared from the media-nots. Sure the Arizona lawsuit continues but now the enemy is White Americans. Forget your troubles and just get guilty might work when the economy is booming and the haves are guilty over the have nots. But guilt is hard to come by when we are all suffering equally.
This is ugly and sad because in the end we are all Americans. But the Democrat Party which is suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome finally realizes that their legislative agenda might cause them to lose their power and the President who has used the race card all his political life–will go for it anyway. They are oblivious to the violence and pain this will cause. Because the end justifies the means doncha know.

Oh this is rich beyond belief. Sherrod has a daughter named Russia, and judging by the pic I just saw she was clearly born before the Wall fell. Hmmmm! You really CANNOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP!
Alright trolls tell us about how common an American name Russia is….bwahahahaha; and/or give us the possible reasons — aside from the obvious….bwahahahaha — that someone like Shirley Sherrod (take a look at she and her hubby’s background) would name her child Russia.
Getting popcorn.

It was this administration and the Dems who stopped Roland Burris, Harold Ford and Patterson from running. Yet they love to talk about Republicans being racists. So many myths exposed this year. The Dems don’t give a damn about the little guy, they are the ones who stoke the flames of racism. And when it comes to Freedom of Speech it can be oh so dangerous in the wrong hands. The Dems should try a new slogan. Leave The Control To Us. Scary but honest.
Radegunda commented:
Remember how George Allen was forced out of politics because, in trying to remember the name of some punk who was harassing him, he guessed that it was something that turned out to be an insult in a minor language that he was not familiar with, nor was (in all likelihood) anybody else in the audience.
Anybody who knows a little about languages other than their own is aware that it’s easy to say something inadvertently that’s vulgar or offensive in a language they don’t know well, or at all.
When Allen said “Macaca,” the lefty hypocrites went running to their electronic dictionaries and hit the jackpot: ah, yes, it’s an insult in a language that hardly anybody knows! That’s weird, because if you wanted to insult someone, wouldn’t you use a term that people know is an insult?
The lefty hypocrites are still repeating the word as an alleged example of deep racism and pretending they knew all along that it was an insult in some minor language (but they can’t remember which language …). The phoniness and cynicism are so transparent—but the lefty hypocrites have learned that simply repeating the word “racist” sends people running.
Radegunda commented:
Sandy, remember also that when Ohbummer was asked in 2008 which S.C.Justice he wouldn’t have appointed, he immediately named the black guy, and clearly implied that the one black S.C. justice was not intellectually qualified to be there (with all those white legal minds).
Take note that he insulted someone who is twice as black as he himself is (not to mention his rather pale “black” AG). Was Ohbummer secretly assuming that his own half-white blood makes him smarter?
The salient point is the hypocrisy of giving a pass to any criticism of Justice Thomas, no matter how demeaning or vicious, while slapping the “racist” label on any and all criticism of Ohbummer, no matter how carefully and substantively stated.

kudos!! that is the definition of liberal logic in a nutshell..
uh Chkn Fryd @ 9:22 am #22
sort of twisted, sort of well stated, but
totally void of key discerning element..
however, the missing bottom line element you left out is the fact that the NAACP will not be labeled racist no matter how racist they are proved to be.. while any white man or group will be labeled racist no matter how much they’re proved not to be..
or iow: all is not “equal” in the presumptuous world of
liberal logic, as it’s very foundation’s structure is bias..
unfortunately for Americans of all colors, they have been dumbed down
to the point where the mere suggestion of “racism” directed at a white person or group is an automatic trial by jury & conviction..
the most racist of all racism’s today is the freedom of blacks to practice
indoctrinated racism towards whites.. just as Islamists are conditioned
to hate infidels..
both tragically sad testaments to the advancement of mankind..

Breitbart did Sherrod a HUGE favor by intentionally taking a part of her speech out of context to play “gotcha!” with the NAACP and Oilbama administration. Because that became a story of its own a very loud one, at that, and because of the NAACP and USDA reactions to that story created the impression that Sherrod was targeted by Breitbart and wrongly fired by the USDA, she’s now off-limits, most likely for life. It doesn’t matter what she said in the rest of her speech, what she’s said over the last few days, or what she says in the future, fingers will always point back to Breitbart.
Had the story been Sherrod’s speech to the NAACP and everyone listened to it in full, whether via Breitbart’s blog site(s) or elsewhere, Sherrod would now be trying to weasel out of the racist remarks that filled her speech, without Breitbart or anyone else to deflect and project that unwanted attention onto.

Not if you’re a passive aggressive. That’s exactly the kind of thing those cowards do. It’s also the kind of thing that the chickens**t leftists do.
How long were TEA Partiers called “teabaggers” by lefturds before the TEA Partiers learned that it was an insult and why? Lefturds knew the TEA Partiers wouldn’t know what “teabagger” means in libturded slang, which, being passive aggressives – aka chickens**ts – made using the term even that more gleeful to the lefturds.
So, when they accuse those on the right of that kind of cowardly bullsh!t, it’s just the lefturds projecting again.

Brietbard wanted to change the subject from the false accusations of racism by the tea party and he did!
The fact that he wanted the NAACP to become the focus of the discussion and it didn’t, shouldn’t surprise him. He’s trying to play the game the media plays: change the subject. However they out number him so they control the subject. That they have made him the subject of the discussion is probably a mistake. It may feel satisfying to them but is probably counter productive. It just gives him more opportunity to get his message out on tv, radio, and internet.
