Another distraction…
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs acknowledged today that the Obama Administration enticed Democratic Andrew Romanoff with a DC position if he decided not to run in the Colorado Senate primary against Michael Bennett.
ABC reported:

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs acknowledged Thursday morning that White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina talked last September with Andrew Romanoff, the former speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives, about possible administration jobs he might be qualified for if he didn’t challenge Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., in the Democratic primary.

Last night, Romanoff issued a statement stating that Messina had floated the possibility of three jobs — including two at the US Agency for International Development — if he didn’t run for Senate. Romanoff turned Messina down and is challenging Bennet, whom President Obama endorsed.

The Gibbs statement didn’t contradict the one offered last night by Romanoff, though Gibbs added that Romanoff had “applied for a position at USAID during the Presidential transition. He filed this application through the Transition on-line process. After the new administration took office, he followed up by phone with White House personnel.”

Gibbs said that “Messina called and emailed Romanoff last September to see if he was still interested in a position at USAID, or if, as had been reported, he was running for the US Senate. Months earlier, the President had endorsed Senator Michael Bennet for the Colorado seat, and Messina wanted to determine if it was possible to avoid a costly battle between two supporters. But Romanoff said that he was committed to the Senate race and no longer interested in working for the Administration, and that ended the discussion. As Mr. Romanoff has stated, there was no offer of a job.”

  1. I suspect there are even more of these deals yet undiscovered.

  2. And back in Chicago, Blago has subpoenas out for Rahm and Valerie Jarrett, tying both to tampering with Senate seats…again.

Political tampering. Felons. They are all friends. All associates. All best buddies. And all criminal. Obama’s the hub of the wheel.

  3. “I informed Mr. Messina that I had made my decision to run,” Romanoff said in a statement. “Mr. Messina also suggested three positions that might be available to me were I not pursuing the Senate race. He added that he could not guarantee my appointment to any of these positions. At no time was I promised a job, nor did I request Mr. Messina’s assistance in obtaining one.”

This is just more lawyerin’ by the administration full of lawyers (and something else…) They have made a presentation of positions without making the explicit statement that a job would be provided.

Wasn’t Obama supposed to provide “no more business as usual”?

  4. They wouldn’t admit it if there was any question they’d be prosecuted. The most lawless government ever.

  5. Governor Patterson of NY was told to drop out in favor of Andrew Cuomo. He refused and they launched an ethics firestorm against him. He finally declared he wouldn’t run again and much to no one’s surprise Andrew Cuomo will be the candidate.

Also, in NY Harold Ford tried to run for the Senate against Kirsten Gillibrand, installed in Hillary’s old Senate Seat by Patterson. Ford claimed there was such fury unleashed against him by those who didn’t want Gillibrand challenged that he backed off.

Roland Burris, who was installed in Obama’s Senate Seat by Blago was forced out.

How many more faced the same fate?

  6. Barack Obama’s regime, have admitted high crimes and misdemeanors. It is only a matter of time, before the fraudulent “first black president,” is impeached. We’re going to see to it Soetoro, you lying, Kenyan/Indonesian.

on an al too “getting familiar” front:

Ex-Gov. Blagojevich goes on trial for corruption

Blagojevich subpoenas Rahm Emanuel and Valerie Jarrett for his defense

[President Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett were subpoenaed by the defense to testify in Rod Blagojevich's upcoming trial, a Blagojevich attorney told the Chicago Sun-Times.

"Yes, he's been subpoenaed by the defense," one of Rod Blagojevich's lawyers, Shelly Sorosky told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Sorosky described Emanuel as a "critical" witness because: "he's the supposed victim of an extortion." One of the charges against Blagojevich accuses him of attempting to extort Emanuel while he was a congressman.

The White House this afternoon confirmed Emanuel and Jarrett were subpoenaed. The subpoenas were accepted, the Sun-Times was told by a White House source,]

ah, the dog & pony distraction away from everything else Obama is doing behind the scenes, not to mention what he’s not doing in plain sight, trial begins..

[and of course i could always be wrong, but something
tells me Crap & Tax bill will be on the agenda soon..]

  8. Expect Blag to have an accident, a fatal heart attack while held nude in a solitary confinement cell a la Mc Dougal, or all charges to be suddenly dropped.

  9. Not accident – Blag-o will be found hanging from a rope made of his own clothes. No way that this administration can survive charges being dropped — not in this case.
