Unbelievable!… 58 Days Later Obama Pledges to Mobilize "Greatest Military in World" to Combat Gulf Oil Spill

59 Days after the BP oil rig explosion Barack Obama finally pledges to mobilize the military to assist with the worst oil spill and environmental disaster in the nation’s history.
Two vacations, a half dozen parties, and several rounds of golf later, Barack Obama finally committed the US military to assist with the horrible disaster.
It took Barack Obama 2 days to send the US military to Haiti after the deadly earthquake in January. It took him 58 days to send the US military to the Gulf after the worst environmental disaster in American history.
The Hill reported:
President Barack Obama on Tuesday said he is “mobilizing the greatest military in the world” to combat the Gulf oil spill.
In an address to service members in Florida, Obama again pledged to do “whatever it takes for as long as it takes” to deal with the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history.
“This is an assault on our shores, and we’re going to fight back with everything that we’ve got,” Obama said in remarks in Pensacola, Fla., that conclude his visit to three states on the Gulf Coast.
Obama did not offer any new details on military involvement in cleaning up the spill. The president has already authorized the deployment of more than 17,000 National Guard troops to assist in response and recovery efforts, even as the leak continues to pour thousands of gallons into the water every day.
Earlier this week the Obama Administration finally accepted assistance from The Netherlands after their offer nearly two months ago.

How about mobilizing the military for something it’s supposed to do, like protect our homeland. Send them to guard our borders, with orders to shoot to kill.
How about buying some oil boom, Obama? That will do a whole lot more good than sending the military to fight an oil spill. The oil spill is not an attack, it is not a siege, it is an accident, and you don’t fight it, you stop it and you clean it.

Hey Idiot, their job is to kill people and break things, not to clean up oil. If I was a marine sniper and my CIC said go clean oil I would not want to continue on my career path. We have several prisons in the South. Throw a couple bucks at their illegitimate children if they will clean up oil. Give them candy and maybe some doritos. I’m sure they would be happy to leave the cell. Unless you want to shoot a nuke at it from a Sub or use a deep sea diving bell or other very specific skills that may work, keep they Military out of it. Did you Know the Navy went 7 miles down to the marianas trench? They got skills. Civillians screwed it up, Civillians can fix it.

Everybody knows the best way to prevent damage from an offshore well blowout is to prevent the poil from reaching shore. I think Odumbo wants the oily beaches and dead oil covered birds to try and peddle his global warming lies.
It is a requirement of the drilling company to get every drill procedure approved before the step can be taken — Since the MMS regulators knew of, and approve every step of the process, why hasn’t the MMS people been on the Congressional griddle. In fact, why hasn’t Fannie and Freddie been grilled to see why they approved home loans to unqualified people.
And yes the MMS approved of the BP well design, single casing and all. And yes, the MMS approved every step BP took …
So where is the MMS testimony in this Wahhh.

With that admission, the politicalized Left draft boards will deliberately assign Britney the cheerleader to combat duty, and Mac the beef to forestry park clean-up. Britney will get killed, Mac will be drunk most of the time from boredom.
The Democrats want a universal male-female DRAFT, for three stated purposes:
1) Military
2) national service
3) any other purpose

There are reports out of the Gulf States that there are dead birds and animals all up and down the coast. People are getting sick from the oil smell and dispersants. It is unbelievable the stories coming out of the region.

Yeah, and what does it cost the country to train these military? Hundred of thousands of dollars for each soldier and he’s going to turn them into janitors. Of course, you have to remember he thinks that is all they worth. He has shown his contempt for them on numerous occassions. Millions of workers are out of work and would probably be glad to have a job, even this kind of job, but no, he uses our national defense to clean up the mess he caused in the first place and he caused to get worse by doing nothing for two months. 1st. The interview was from the 8th of June and is only NOW being released. Why?
2nd. I do believe that he did say he was going to sue Az. so what she said is correct. She wasn’t saying that Her admin was going to sure the state, HE had already said it thru various other sources. (at least that’s the way I remember it happening.)

When Bush dealt with Katrina he didn’t make sure that every private boat helping in the rescue had enough ‘fire extinguishers’ and ‘life jackets’. Time was of the essence to get people saved. When 9/11 came, we didn’t wait to make sure we had all the equipment and gas masks, and whatever, before the responders started saving lives, or before they would allow them to sift through the wreckage and tamp out the fires, they did what they could while equipment was being processed. But with Obama, it’s make sure nothing gets done, until everyone is outfitted in accordance with cookie cutter plans, the Gulf be damned. In WWII, and other wars, soldiers went out with whatever equipment we could give them. Imagine if we said, unless you had everything we could think of to fight the enemy, then you have to stay in barracks? We might be speaking German, if we had Obama’s attitude.
Now we have the CG delaying crucial equipment because it hasn’t pre inspected the boats and BP is left holding the bag for this incompetence.
