She’ll be fine. 48% is a lot.

Boozman will have a tough time defeating Blanche. Arkansas voters don’t care one bit about national implications. They believe she “delivers” for them. A Halter win would’ve been a slam dunk flip of this seat. Now it’s a toss-up.

Don’t overlook another up and comer in the Republican Party. Kristi Noem from South Dakota won last night, and will be vying for the lone Congressional Seat to Represent South Dakota in the Congress.

She’s got a little Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann in her. That means the Saul Alinsky media will try to destroy her.

I suspect cooler heads will prevail upon Barrett, whose 22% wasn’t even half Haley’s 49%, to forgo a run-off.
Assuming the supporters of all candidates turned out for the run-off, which they won’t since the losers’ voters are disappointed, Barrett would need to win about 98% of the votes for the other two candidates to top Haley. That just isn’t happening, and hopefully some close friend or adviser will explain this to Barrett, who has invested 18 months in this campaign.
