YNet News has a report on the rally:
Thousands of leftist activists marched in Tel Aviv Saturday evening to mark “43 years of occupation,” while taking the opportunity to slam recent IDF raids on Gaza-bound ships.
A smoke grenade was hurled at the protestors outside the Tel Aviv Museum. No injuries were reported in the incident. Later, right-wing protesters tried to attack leftist activist Uri Avneri, snatching signs he was carrying.
The leftist protestors, who were walking from Rabin Square to the Tel Aviv Museum, were holding up signs reading “The government is sinking all of us – we must aspire for peace.” Other marchers held up signs reading “Israel, Palestine, two states for two people” and “We love the country but are ashamed of the government.”

Unfortunately, there’s A LOT of ultra-leftist Jews. Especially outside of Israel. You’d think the Jews living in Israel would have been mugged by reality long ago but apparently not. On the other hand hand though protests like this display that Israel does indeed want peace and are a civilized people. They even want peace so bad they’re willing to commit national suicide. In comparison, you’ll NEVER see a peace protest like this in neighboring countries and especially not in the palestinian territories. And that’s the difference between the 2 sides in this conflict over Israel’s right to simply exist.

Well, there were Pro-IDF gatherings by students at Israeli universities. The one at Ben Gurion Uni had to be broken up – two groups of students, Muslim and Jewish were getting a bit hot with each other.
There was a real scene at the Knesset as lawmakers were steaming at one of the Arab knesset members – a woman who was on the flotilla.

I don’t want to be branded a “peacemonger” but I believe in “peace” too (Peace through War). That’s the only peace that will keep you safe. If you are more powerful than your enemy, they will usually leave you alone. The “bad” people usually attack the weak.
The US is currently showing weakness on the world stage, that is why other countries are pushing our buttons. They want to see a reaction or lack of reaction.
Israel show weakness with the initial “paintgun” incident but quickly recovered, the “peaceful” activist on the second “peace flotilla” knew the Israeli’s weren’t bringing “paintguns” this time and behaved. The Israeli peace marchers wouldn’t survived out in the wild by themselves. The muslims would show them no pity, they hate “weak” people.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was apparently threatened by Obama while Obama said he was going to leave to have his dinner. He gave Netanyahu an ultimatum. Since then, the attempt to defeat the GAZA blockade grew enormously.
The effort of Leftists to destroy the Conservative PM and the ‘right’ in Israel, is enormous. These Democrat Kooks once went out of their way to become “human shields” for a monster named Saddam, to diminish the Bush Administration. After 2004, they grew to promote and enable the radical Terrorists to try to destroy the Bush Administration. CNN even advertised Al Qaeda Terrorists sniper videos of US Armed Forces. The entire effort was an ugly embrace of Radical Terrorists to destroy the Bush Administration. Perhaps this is the same pattern in regards to Israel, led by Obama, Hillary, etc.
The similar aspects are concerning, with the Leftists working hand and hand with monstrous Muslim Militants, like Hamas, with these ‘peace’ ships. The effort seems to be an intense effort to undermine not only Israel, but especially the Conservative Netanyahu leadership. The same mindless ‘destroy’ it – to save it concept, which the left is using in the USA.
It is no surprise, to see the connections with AYERS and Code Pink to the funding of such folly. Perhaps the Obama Team is related in this far more than anyone realizes.
After 2008, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have come out aggressively with anti-Israeli rhetoric and action, primarily trying to debase the Netanyahu Leadership. It wouldn’t surprise, to discover these Flotilla Rallies, in Tel Aviv and elsewhere (including a tiny few in front of the UN on the same day), are a coordinated effort, created with some efforts from higher Democratic Partisan encouragement.

Latest news … remember the Israeli forced pull-out of all Israelis from Gaza, leaving those massive, state of the art greenhouses? The Gazans who got them as a gift trashed them. THe former owners are in Israeli, mostly jobless beceuse they lost their investments, and now the Arab Gazans are SUING them for back pay, unemployment.
There is apparently Leftist funding/activitists egging on the Gazans — another angle for harassment of Israelis.

Much is made of the ’3 billion’ the US gives Israel but what is not mentioned is that we get back many times that in medical, computer, military, agricultural, pharmaceutical, hydro and other technologies.
