But, she wasn’t finished. Today the popular leftist announced on her radio show that,
“Helen Thomas was right (Jews get the hell out of Palestine).”

As far as occupied, if the palestine had put up a fight they might still have Palestine. Just like that territory has been settled by romans,jews,christians over the ages. Second, as some of you have pointed out. Is she so stupid that she doesn’t realize she would be sought out and murdered by the Islamic people she defends?
How can they be so stupid and still manage to find food to eat and not drive their cars into walls.

The way the west bank and Gaza are run shows that the people, at least with the leadership they have “chosen” are incapable of running a real country. I hope American Jews begin to see that these socialists/communists/progressives with whom they vote and socialize are not always looking out for their backs when it really counts. When they come for the Jews, do they really think their Democrat Party card or liberal associations are going to change anyone’s mind. There’s a common misunderstanding about the Jewish Diaspora. Jews thrown out of Israel by the Romans (twice!) were the troublemakers (rebels, such as the Zealots). Other Jews remained. Jews in what is now Israel proper were a majority in the 1840s. When Mark Twain visited the area in 1867, half the population of Jerusalem was Jewish. Zionists arriving in the late 19th century found established Jewish communities there.
Ironically, the increasing, and increasingly dynamic, Jewish presence spurred on by the Zionist movement, also caused an increase in non-Jews (especially Arabs) to the region, because it was becoming increasingly prosperous by the low standards of the surrounding region. Arab immigrants (and that’s what they were, NOT “Palestinians”), wanted the prosperity, but not the Jews. Their frequent flareup into hostility (especially in 1929) helped persuade the Jews that it should be made a Jewish homeland again, rather than a shared one with these other, often hostile, new arrivals from Jordan (Trans-Jordan back then), a place recently dubbed “Iraq,” Syria, and Egypt. There were many Arabs, both Muslim and Christian, who gave the Jews no trouble, but their brethren, egged on by Arab leaders who eventually became Nazi sympathizers, chose to hate and villify the Jews who were making this a prosperous and vibrant place.
Incidentally, here’s a historical parallel to the Jewish Diaspora in our own country (America). In the 1830s Cherokees were driven off their land in the Southeast and moved to Oklahoma. So, there are no more Cherokee in the Carolinas or Tennessee, right? Wrong! There are still substantial Cherokee communities in that area, despite the “Trail of Tears.”
Oh, by the way, there are legitimate long-time Arab residents of what is now Israel: they’re called “Israeli Arabs.” The other thing to note is that Arabs of the immediate region were as likeley to be Christian as Muslim. Christian Arabs are now a minority in the region, and are persecuted by their Muslim brethren.
