Republican star Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) gave the GOP Weekly Address today:
From the video:
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) says Washington Democrats’ unprecedented decision to cancel this year’s budget will wreak havoc on our economy and make it even harder to put people back to work.
The House Budget Committee’s top Republican, Ryan says Democrats’ plan to continue their out-of-control ‘stimulus’ spending spree and raise taxes on middle-class families is a “recipe for disaster.”
He also challenges President Obama and Washington Democrats to stop running out the clock and “make the tough choices they promised they would, put moral obligation before political expedience, and focus on what’s in the best interests of the next generation, not the next election.”
With economists saying immediate fiscal discipline is needed to create jobs, Ryan notes that Republicans have already identified $1.3 trillion in specific spending cuts that could be implemented right now.
Rep. Ryan is in his sixth term representing the people of Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District.

“Obama calls for bank tax as next step in his “reform”

TORONTO (Reuters) – President Barack Obama, fresh from a win on a sweeping overhaul of Wall Street regulations, on Saturday urged Congress to take up his proposal for a $90 billion, 10-year tax on banks as the next step in reform.
Obama wants to slap a 0.15 percent tax on the liabilities of the biggest U.S. financial institutions to recoup the costs to taxpayers of the financial bailout.
“We need to impose a fee on the banks that were the biggest beneficiaries of taxpayer assistance at the height of our financial crisis — so we can recover every dime of taxpayer money,” Obama said in his weekly radio and Internet address.

Of course, this tax will be passed on to the taxpayers or consumers.

WOW, that’s real enlightening, tell us something we did’nt already know.

The answer to our economic woes, unemployment and deficit is clear. Do not vote for any democrat in November. I repeat, do not vote for any democrat in November. Either all democrats have morphed into extreme liberals/progressives or all have been seduced by Obama and suffer from warm tingly feelings running up their legs, or a combination of both. Neither trait warrants election/re-election. Vote republican this November and hold them to their balanced budget/spending reduction/no new tax increase/reduce government program platform.
Free market reforms are the only solutions.

Like the man. Sure we can listen but we are beyond listening now! Actions, we want actions! We want someone with some gonads to stand up on the floor and declare impeachment!
Throw Pelosi out with the dirty bath water too!

Don’t forget, Mr. Ryan was a strong backer of PGWB’s and voted yea for the huge farm aid package, prescription plan for seniors and the first bail out in 2008.
The man was/is a spender. Look to the record, not the rhetoric. I see RINO whenever I hear him speak.
Like Missouri, show me (past deed) how you will govern in the future.
