Radical Progressive Leader Compares US Border Patrol Agents to the KKK (Video)

Radical progressive leader Elena Herrada told attendees at the US Social Forum in Detroit this week that US Border Patrol agents are just like the KKK.

I had never heard of Herrada but she is not exactly a nobody. Although she seems to be more of a local activist in Detroit, she has been quoted frequently in national publications on immigrant rights issues, and The NY Times Opinionator blog featured a story from her last June.
And this is not some fringe liberal gathering. The US Social Forum is a MAJOR gathering of radical liberal activists (i.e. socialists), community organizers, and union leaders. Their slogan is “another world is possible, another U.S. is necessary”. Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, and Danny Glover were among those I spotted in other video clips…and I believe Bertha Lewis and Van Jones will be in attendance as well. This could very well be the most important leftist conference this year.
Herrada’s comments in this clip are deplorable and are as good of an example of anti-government incitement as you will find anywhere.

They find they biggest losers in the Country, indoctrinate them, give them attention, praise and a few dollars and BINGO, you have a movement. Check the resume’ of these people. See, what these people don’t get is that they want the USA to be just like all the other socialist, communist countries throughout the world, and there are many. So if they like that lifestyle I don’t understand for the life of me why they don’t leave this country. It is obvious they hate everything the USA stands for, especially the US Constitution and the idea of individual liberty.
So, they have a long list of places of which to choose and leave. I, however, and millions of other liberty, freedom-loving Americans do not have that option. What other country provides the right to individual freedom? Let me just throw out a guess and say….none.

When will our society treat slogans like “another America is necessary” for the treason that it is ? Robert Hanssen is in prison for selling classified secrets to the Russians, but he is a step above these people. Hanssen Sold out for a lot of cash…these people freely spit on their country for no financial compensation. You don’t even have to tempt them with cash to betray America.

While I will not elaborate how I understand the topic at hand, I think I can help educate Ms. Herrada about the Border Patrol. About 50% of Agents (yes, they are Federal Agents) are Hispanic, and, in part because they are bilingual, they make superb ones. These men and women carry out their duties as well as the other whites, blacks, even Chinese-Americans who comprise a very diverse force.
Ms. Herrada’s depiction of the Border Patrol as KKK is slightly different from my experience. I have seen Agents carry sick and injured aliens out of the desert and mountains, often saving their lives when they were abandoned by their smugglers to die.
I have seen aliens raped, beaten and robbed by their smugglers. I have seen Agents offer money to help the aliens get back home after being robbed by bandits. I have seen Agents take a whole family to McDonald’s before taking them to the port to return to their country because the kids were hungry and needed it.
I have seen Agents abused by citizens and activists, and not lose their cool because they are professional and their opponents clearly are not. I have seen them rocked and attacked by scouts and aliens.
I have seen them walk for miles with 50 or more pounds of marijuana seized from dope mules that would kill them for it if they thought they could by with it. This is after the Agents have tracked them on foot for many miles in heat, cold, rain, snow and dangerous terrain where they are, in turn, scouted and possibly targeted by the very same organized drug trafficking organizations.
I have seen Agents nearly die from heat exhaustion, become severely injured and exposed to serious illnesses as they carry out their duties. I have seen Agents staking out places in the middle of the night, often alone and in perches that would make your skin crawl with fear if you knew the danger of the area they routinely patrol. And the public would never know, otherwise, the Agents were out there watching over their communities or begin to comprehend the danger of the criminal activity and bandits passing right by them.
I could go on. I also suppose Ms. Herrada supports trafficking of minority girls and women for the sex trade, as well as supports white slavery and smugglers who hold their prey hostage to extort higher ransoms/smuggling fees, because the Border Patrol is so chock full of supposed racists, and that trumps all else. I suppose Ms. Herrada also supports the murder of thousands involved and uninvolved in the drug trade, while her brethren see no problems smoking or snorting these substances. I have seen the beheading of Mexican drug runners that rival the savagery of jihadists, while the same killers would smuggle said jihadists to all our peril, and likely already have successfully done so. These same killers would have no compunction whatsoever in beheading her despite her apparent sympathies to their deadly causes.
As I said, I could go on. These Agents are not perfect. They get tired and sometimes just don’t feel like working as hard as the day before. They have families and have needs like anyone else. They actually have to look aliens in the eyes and tell them they still have to go back home, when the Agent knows the alien is a good person and has literally sold the farm to pay the smuggler to get here. The Agent still enforces the law, despite knowing full well that same good alien is likely to be a far greater asset to the United States than the same Ms. Herrada appears to be, despite her great but unappreciated fortune to be a citizen while the unfortunate alien is not. That’s not nearly as easy to do as deporting the criminal alien who feels he’s entitled to all this country has to offer without earning it, and I’ve seen the great satisfaction and pride that the Border Patrol Agent wears for taking bad guys off the street.
I think Border Patrol Agents simply scoff at zeros such as Ms. Herrada. They don’t do their work for the approval of her likes. They do it because they are wiser, love their country, and, on the whole, are far more noble than she could ever aspire to be. Sadly, Ms. Herrada believes their honorable efforts to protect her country are beneath her and her deluded ideology. In reality, the Agents of the Border Patrol are simply too good for her and her ilk. But they’ll do their job anyway, and never worry about the thanks she will never offord them for protecting her despite it all.
