"Peace Activists" on Gaza Flotilla Threw Stun Grenades – Beat Israeli Soldiers With Chains (Video)

The peaceful activists on the Gaza Flotilla beat Israeli soldiers with chains and threw stun grenades.
It’s not yet clear if these were the al-Qaeda peace activists or the just ordinary stun grenade throwing peace activists.
The Jerusalem Post and IDF website reported:
From the video: In footage captured on the Mavi Marmara, activists are seen attacking the soldiers with a stun grenade, a box of plates, and water hoses as the soldiers attempt to board the ship. the activists are also waiving around metal rods and chains later used to attack the soldiers with. The IDF soldiers were armed with paint ball guns (used for riot dispersal) and pistols which they were ordered to use only as a last resort.
In the early hours of the 31st of May 2010, IDF soldiers boarded the ships of the “Free Gaza” Flotilla, after the ships refused to redirect their course. Aboard the Mavi Marmara the soldiers encountered serious violence when, in a preplanned attack, the activists on board lynched the soldiers with knives, metal rods and stole two of their guns. As a result 7 soldiers were injured and 9 activists were killed.

Technically, on the open seas, the Turkish boat has the right to defend itself in this way.

Actually David, it’s not that easy. Cause apparently Israel also had the right to check the ships, since there was the justified suspicion that these ships were carrying materials used to kill Israelis.
The people on the ship were not defending themselves. They were not under attack. The radio transmissions and what the IDF did before the boarding confirms that. The attack was started by the “peace activists” on the ship. They tried to tie the rope from the chopper to the ship, which is hardly a “joke” or “self defense” but rather attempted murder.

blockade, n. 1. A shutting off of a place or region by hostile troops or ships in order to prevent passage.
Israel has had a “blockade” around Gaza ports for some time. They were merely enforcing their declared “blockade” to keep the region safer. The ships refused to change course as requested and the “blockade” was defended by Israel.
What is there to understand? They rebuffed intruders to their “blockade”, period.

It was a lose-lose situation for Israel. Still, I think it’s better they went in and stopped the convoy, than letting it pass and allow the tools (which would be used for building more bombs and rockets) be taken by Hamas. Not to mention that Hamas sympathizers, who would “accidentally” disappear in Gaza and then pop up again when killing Jews.
The good side: the world now has at least 9 less islamo-fascists.

I’m for having them clean out Gaza once and for all. Send the inhabitants to Syria or France or Turkey or Hell.

The only thing that Israel did wrong, was to try to be reasonable about a bad situation. They told these “peace activist” that they would not be allowed into Gaza. They told them weeks ago. Then they gave them every opportunity to divert to a acceptable port. They did not! Then Israel “Boarded” them with paintball guns ( yeah I know, very lethal intent ) only to be met with violence, which was the plan all along, yet Israel is at fault. There is no hope for people that refuse to see that videos of the event are called a lie.

The IDF acted with tremendous restraint as usual because they respect the dignity of life – they do everything possible to protect even the lives of those who would gladly take their lives.
The “Humanitarians” did everything they could to injure, maim and destroy the lives of the IDF soldiers and sailors because they have no respect for life.
