We saw these radicals withhold and manipulate information during the health care debate… Now we find out they’re doing the same thing with the nation’s energy supply…
Team Obama fudged a report to support their drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico.
A group of oil drilling experts claimed that the Obama Administration misrepresented their views in order to put a hold on drilling operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
FOX News reported:
The seven experts who advised President Obama on how to deal with offshore drilling safety after the Deepwater Horizon explosion are accusing his administration of misrepresenting their views to make it appear that they supported a six-month drilling moratorium — something they actually oppose.
The experts, recommended by the National Academy of Engineering, say Interior Secretary Ken Salazar modified their report last month, after they signed it, to include two paragraphs calling for the moratorium on existing drilling and new permits.
Salazar’s report to Obama said a panel of seven experts “peer reviewed” his recommendations, which included a six-month moratorium on permits for new wells being drilled using floating rigs and an immediate halt to drilling operations.
“None of us actually reviewed the memorandum as it is in the report,” oil expert Ken Arnold told Fox
News. “What was in the report at the time it was reviewed was quite a bit different in its impact to what there is now. So we wanted to distance ourselves from that recommendation.”Salazar apologized to those experts Thursday.
Obama’s oil drilling moratorium will cost this country tens of thousands of jobs and may take years to recover from.

There are many good reasons why we must take back the House of Rep. from the Dems; one of the most important reasons is so that we can Impeach this tyrant !!!!!!

Damn, Obama is good at what he does!

The easier question is what have they NOT fudged?

Salazar apologized? He tampered with a signed document to totally alter the statement and intent. Where are the prosecutors and lawyers when you need them?

Just one of many things done by the Obama administration that will take years to recover from, and he has at the least 2 and half years to do more damage.
pm commented:
That video of Salazar testifying has him admitting that the decision to add the moratorium to the report was his and Obama’s. Wonder how well that sat with BO.
Also, the LA Parish President (who was “used” in all the pictures of BO on the coast) said, “He has an agenda. We’re the poster children for alternative fuel.”
It’s also been reported that the experts say it’s actually more harmful to stop drilling during something like this than to continue operation.

There’s not much good to say of the ‘National Academy of Engineering’, if their ‘experts’ don’t check their altered political document for accuracy against the one they actually signed – for a whole month.
Also interesting to see that the NAE includes numerous new-age computer engineers and enthusiasts for green energy. How would we know whether their ‘seven experts’ were selected for knowlege of oil technology, or instead for PC attitudes toward environmental issues? At any rate, those signers took a damn languid approach to the political abuse of the document they signed.

This is criminal. I’m starting to believe this oil disaster, is the act of a criminal.

#17, there is a crime in there somewhere. Certainly all agree it is 5,000 feet below the moral sea level. Lawsuits should be filed for damaged reputations to the experts who said otherwise.

If Interior Secretary Ken Salazar had any honor, he would resign.

I completely agree, but who could/would be able to sue? This has to be illegal. Who can get busy and just go for it? Maybe the state of Louisiana?
Other oil companies drilling in the gulf? Who?
How can ordinary America citizens get involved?

This is just like the IPCC report. Exactly like it.
The boffins do a study. They come to a conclusion. Then, some pol comes along and rewrites the ‘official’ report and it does not represent the original study at all. Next thing the researchers are bailing out of the boat left and right but the LSM buries that tidbit.

It is possible that Interior Secretary Ken Salazar violated 18 USC Sec. 1001

Piffle… just wait until Obama and the Democrats REALLY get going on green.
Ten thousand jobs lost will be a day’s work for the federal regulators.

Seven Officials signed a statement that writes out their understanding.
Salaczar adds 2 paragraphs after they sign it and admits it. This is forgery. The statement doesn’t any longer reflect the views and conclusions of the meeting.
Obama started this mess. He said banks would have to void their contracts and do friendlier mortgages. Written contracts can be voided at the whim of the emperor. We are entering a Russian hoodlum style of business environment.

OK, it’s official: the federal neglect is deliberate so as to sabotage domestic oil production.
Add that fact to our having proof-positive that Obama is an anti-semite from recent events, and the picture of who he is is coming into clearer focus. Item upon item, instance after instance. It’s kind of like The Picture of Dorian Gray.

NOTE TO OBAMA…probably not a good idea to get on the bad side of roughnecks, miners, loggers ect…..we play for keeps!! I’ve done all three types of work, drilled for gas/oil, worked in a open pit coal mine, but have spent the better part of 20 yrs in the woods logging. Also..maybe I’m the only one seeing this. But the CEO’s of Caterpillar, John Deere and all the other manufacturers of heavy equipment better wake up and start barkin…with killin our jobs their killin your companies. ……
You check your signed documents to make sure no one fudged them while you weren’t looking?
WHY would they even imagine that a member of the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES’ CABINET would FRAUD a document?
They thought they were dealing with an honorable man, now they KNOW otherwise. IS that what we have at the White House, a cheap liar tasked with governing and policy?
Dave Boone commented:
Is anyone keeping a record of all this administration’s lies? It’s beginning to rival the IRS code.
OKAY commented:
None of this will stick to Obama when it comes to his faithful followers. They only hear what he’s saying at the moment and never hear any contradictions, or rather lies, that he’s made from the day before or any previous time. He plays to them and they lap it up and say, “more please.”

Hell yes, that’s part of quality control. Always check how your own statements are used in public statements – for exactly the reason that Salazar’s corruption has illuminated.
He must have learned the technique from the IPCC, or from the New York Times.

==============
Weeeelll, as far as I can tell he’s not “cheap” (he’s turning out to be rather expensive, as a matter of fact). Additionally, I think the word “liar” doesn’t go far enough. Also, it seems he’s totally disinterested in “government” as it’s broadly understood (= “with consent of the governed”). I’m not convinced he’s much for “policy” either.
From what I gather, this stranger that somehow got elected President really wanted to be — not just a dictator — but a god. He wanted to issue directives such as “Let there be Peace in the Middle East”, with immediate results: “and lo! there was Peace; and let His Wonderfulness among men be recorded for all time”. Our Prez wanted to command “all good things”, then do a quick six holes of golf as R&R, before attending the evening’s festivities in His honor. Every day. World without end, amen.

“Fudged”?
They took the report of hired experts and pasted in a final conclusory section asserting, in the experts’ voices, something the experts had already told them was wrong.
“Fudged” is when I have four beers and tell my wife I had “a couple.”
Obama and Salazar didn’t “fudge” anything. They defrauded us, they lied, they forged responsibility, they dishonored their offices, they exhibited contempt for all of us.
The next time we read “fudged” ought to be in the context of us taking five days to forcibly remove both of them from office and then claiming it only took four and one half days.
Sleazeballs, one and all. For all you Obama-voters who now claim you were mislead: you’re all friggin’ idiots who should be disenfranchised. The information was out there, but you were too damned lazy to read it, and too infatuated with the whole “the cool kids in the media LIKE me!” scene to be adults.
