Of Course. White House Defends Obama's 39 Golf Outings

The White House says Obama deserves the time to clear his mind. After all, it’s only the greatest environmental disaster in US history. It’s like 9-11.
Never mind the fact that Obama said, “I will not rest until the leak is stopped,” just last month:
Obama has played 7 rounds of golf since the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon back in April.
The Hill reported:
The White House is dismissing criticism that President Barack Obama shouldn’t play golf during the Gulf oil spill.
White House spokesman Bill Burton on Monday said the president deserves some time to relax, and he doesn’t “think that there’s a person in this country that doesn’t think that their president ought to have a little time to clear his mind.”
During the weekend, Obama played the 39th round of golf of his presidency, according to reports.
White House reporters joke among themselves about who might get stuck with weekend pool duty, which seems more likely than not to include a few hours sitting at the food court near either Andrews Air Force Base or Fort Belvoir while Obama hits the links.
But Burton dismissed Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele’s criticism that Obama should stay away from the links.
Speaking at the daily White House briefing, Burton said Obama needs some time to himself after dealing with the business of his office.

The main question is what kind of job is POTUS?
I was a surgical resident and am now a surgeon. My job requires me to be “at work” more often than say a bank teller or an accountant (80-100 hours/week, minimal vacation). High end lawyers spend 80+ hours a week “at work” and take very little vacation depending on the case load.
So does Obama have a large case load? Do his patients need his attention? Or when the doors close on the day, can he go home and relax with his family? I wish I could golf as much as he does. I wish I could travel as much as he does…I can’t.

Considering what he does when he is “working” it would be better for the Country if he stayed on the golf course 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year and played with/by himself. Agreed that the country is safer when Obama is not attending to his official duties. However, Obama and his spokesmen aren’t lying when they say that Obama won’t rest until the pipe is plugged. After all it takes a lot of energy to play 39 rounds of golf, and to play basketball and to attend concerts. Obama wasn’t resting during any of those activities, and you are picking on that poor guy. Why you must be ‘racists’.

I have never seen a president so widely scrutinized. What is next are you going to publicize how many times he goes to the toilet and find fault in that as well? Some conservatives will rather watch our country sink while they spread separatism then have a black man be in office and help our country get out the mess the Bush Administration created.
