Of Course. White House Defends Obama's 39 Golf Outings

The White House says Obama deserves the time to clear his mind. After all, it’s only the greatest environmental disaster in US history. It’s like 9-11.
Never mind the fact that Obama said, “I will not rest until the leak is stopped,” just last month:
Obama has played 7 rounds of golf since the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon back in April.
The Hill reported:
The White House is dismissing criticism that President Barack Obama shouldn’t play golf during the Gulf oil spill.
White House spokesman Bill Burton on Monday said the president deserves some time to relax, and he doesn’t “think that there’s a person in this country that doesn’t think that their president ought to have a little time to clear his mind.”
During the weekend, Obama played the 39th round of golf of his presidency, according to reports.
White House reporters joke among themselves about who might get stuck with weekend pool duty, which seems more likely than not to include a few hours sitting at the food court near either Andrews Air Force Base or Fort Belvoir while Obama hits the links.
But Burton dismissed Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele’s criticism that Obama should stay away from the links.
Speaking at the daily White House briefing, Burton said Obama needs some time to himself after dealing with the business of his office.

How about them all selecting ONE reporter to stir his lime fizzle while waiting for Obama to wander here and then there, and the REST of them spread across the country to investigate the bubbling sleeze out of CHicago, BP, the WHite House and how they are all connected?

Oilbama thinks that if he spends as much time as he can on the golf course he can detract himself from what’s happening on the Gulf Coast. I think he also likes golf because the balls are made from petroleum… After all, he’s the Oil Sheik, OILBAMA!

If O’s so morally opposed to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, then he’d be working hard to end those wars with honor and stay off the links out of respect for those lives he objects to being taken. Show us you care about the war dead and about the folks in the Gulf.

I would suggest critics have not considered how devilishly debilitating it can be to locate scapegoats, then throw them under the bus, on a continual basis. Besides, as others have noted, it can’t do as much harm ignoring a problem as it does when it applies socialism to the nation.

i just read ALL of the articals on this page, from golf outings to gitmo. they represent an aggregate indication of how inept, dishonest, and philosophically dangerous this guy is. he shouldn’t be trusted to take the gabage out of the garage, and safely get it to the curb. we gotta cut the legs out from under him this november, and finish the job in 2012 elections!

But what the White House fails to realize is it’s not just the golf. It’s going to the ballgame. Hosting rock stars and concerts. Traveling to various fundraisers.
