Obama Blew Off Gulf Memorial Service to Attend Fundraiser for Boxer

CNN reported tonight (CNN?) that President Obama skipped the Memorial Service for the 11 workers who died in the Deepwater Horizon explosion because he was attending a fundraiser for Barbara Boxer.
According his official schedule, President Obama did not attend the May 25 memorial service in Jackson, Mississippi for the workers who died in the Deepwater Horizon explosion because he was en route to a fundraiser for Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-California, in San Francisco.
At Thursday’s White House briefing, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was asked why Obama did not attend the service. The president’s spokesman answered, “I’d have to look at the schedule. I don’t know the answer.”
CNN examined the president’s schedule for that day, and according to it, the president left the White House at 2:55 p.m. EST en route to Andrews Air Force Base for the cross-country flight to the San Francisco fundraiser.

I want to know, does the taxpayer get stuck with the tab for Obie Won flying clear across the country for a fund raiser? Isn’t there some requirement that the Dims pay for his trip? TimothyJ, #7, I agree. I don’t appreciate him flying (or spouting) ANYwhere, but I definitely believe AF1 and its accompanying costs should not be spent for Democrat fundraising!!

I’m telling you. If you have never interacted with or studied a well adjusted sociopath, here is your opportunity.
There are certain things you think about in your daily life that give you pause. You think “I should do that.” Not because you think somebody else expects you to, but as a core belief. You call your parents, give to charity, ask someone if they need help, attend funerals, that sort of stuff. You do it because it makes you feel better knowing you did the right thing.
Sociopaths, even well adjusted ones or ones not completely around the bend, have trouble processing this information. Remember when Clinton was at the funeral laughing until he saw a camera and then broke into tears. That’s a sign.
The fact that Obama’s people didn’t tell him about the opportunity or that if they did he dismissed it speaks volumes to the dysfunction inside his administration and inside his mind.
When GWB was President I had a phrase I’d say to myself as a way to reset my logic process. I would ask myself, “What do I know for sure?” It kind of became a habit. “What do I know for sure? That the President is a good guy.” This I knew for sure as I knew people who knew him.
Now the habit is still there but I catch myself and have to change the answer. “What do I know for sure? That the President isn’t such a good guy.”
Once again, his actions remind us how much trouble we are in. So much so, that even the classic leftist liberal is unsettled as we now see more and more criticism coming out.
Wait until the boom purchase issue and the Jones regulation come out. When the eco-freaks realize Obama didn’t allow foreign vessels in that could handle the spill because of non-union crews, they have a heart attack.
Assuming they haven’t lost all of their principles.
That is how it usually works, the left chews on itself because of all the separate agendas. Obama’s election forced them to all row in the same direction for a longer period of time than ever before. But now things are starting to fray a little at the seams. We’ll see, but I predict they’ll go back to screaming at each other, convinced their agenda is more important than the next liberal’s.

Of course, now he’s paying close attention because he sees a real chance of stealing BP’s $2.5 billion quarterly dividend, and putting it in the same slush fund as the stimulus. You know, the one he uses for buying political power.
This crisis suddenly presents itself as an opportunity! Here Team Obama have a chance to:
1) Steal some more money for his personal use.
2) Further weaken the Atlantic Alliance, beyond the violence our liberal-imposed mortgage crisis did to Europe and world banking.
3) Poke his famous middle finger in Britain’s eye to get back at whatever he thinks they did to his father in Kenya.
4) Project his political power further into European politics.
There’s one other thing. If he acquires BP’s quarterly dividend, which now seems likely, don’t expect any of that to reach the suffering folks along the Gulf. The money will quickly be used to bolster Democratic candidates in the 2010 election.

By skipping services at Arlington National Cemetary on Memorial Day, again, it proves that he just does not care.

Yes, the president shows all the classic signs of a sociopath. That’s scary stuff. What really creeps me out is when he speaks. His chin goes up and he looks down his nose with a look of disdain for all he sees. I never saw, either in film or photo, an American president look at his constituents in that way.
On the subject of the Oil spill I can only see two scenarios. He’s slowing the possible cleanup on purpose as a big screw you to all who support fossil fuels and will use the disaster as a way to pass cap n trade or he is the most stupid Pres. with the most useless Admin in the history of this Country. There are no other explanations.

While I share the disappointment that the previous commenters have voiced with President Obama’s performance in office, I cannot fault him for not attending the rig workers’ funerals. Should the President of the United States change his schedule in order to attend the funeral of every person killed in an industrial accident within the United States? If the well had been capped in the first two days, the eleven guys would still be dead but this posting probably would not exist. I don’t think that furthering the career of Senator Boxer is a good use of our president’s time, but neither is disrupting a solemn affair by his presence. Do we even know if the families would have welcomed him?

No one bothered to see any of the warning signs when he was campaigning. It’s the only thing he’s done right and he’s never stopped campaigning. He couldn’t be bothered with Arlington because he had to keep a campaign promise to return to Chicago. Then, when he gets rained out, he has his minions roust 150 off duty service people to go out and listen to his speech. I’m sure they were thrilled.
His priorities are to destroy America and alienate us from our allies. Look at how he’s treated them. He immediately sent Churchill’s bust back to the British embassy. He gives the queen an iPod with his speeches.

read it for yourself- The obamas’ called in about 7 scientists to determine the issues. They signed off on what they wrote and agreed on. then Salazar or Browner or someone of the Obamans added a few lines above the scientists signatures
that there shouldbe a moratorium on oil drilling in the gulf.

The FDA already thinks its mandate is to impose delay in the medical field. While that makes some sense where potentially huge numbers of people are ingesting something or having their bodies invaded by a device, it makes no sense at all with respect to medical tests.
Customers already have ways to figure out whether a test is a good buy. FDA could, if it wished, simply require publication of ongoing false positive/negative data at a designated site (although these already exist without FDA help). Instead, they have chosen to add immensely to the cost and delay to introduce valuable consumer information into the marketplace.
Barbara Boxer should have been all over this.

We were at an office waiting for an appointment. A big TV was on down the hall. A couple people rushed over and exclaimed, “Has there been another explosion?” So, strolled over to watch and listen.
It was CNN. WHite House backdrop to breathless reporter, CNN SITUATION ROOM in the bottom screen corner. ANd yes, they were talking about “explosion,” then after a little bit, we finally figured out it was about the families of the dead from the BP rig. Didn’t even know what the issue was. The reporter kept saying, “We asked what they thought the president FELT. WHat was he FEELING.”
CNN had a SITUATION ROOM report on a MEETING.
Total excitable panic. For nothing. Worse, how the POTUS FELT. Like he feels as bad as the familes of the dead guys? Hmm? Oh yeah? Muy doubtful.
THe quality of the CNN “reporter” these days matches the profile of a high school slumber party bunch of girls, fresh off too much popcorn, soda and a horror flick.
THat might LOOK like a guy, but it’s a hysterical girl under that suit.
Now to find out Obama stiffed everyone. The media is wasting our lives while Obama ruins them. He don’t meet with the families, because he was in Jeremiah Wright’s pews for TWENTY years listening to “G****D**** AMerica.”
Put away the psychoanalysis. That’s Obama’s core belief. Nothing makes sense without knowing it, everything makes sense knowing it.
