Do you remember when Jesse Jackson said that under Obama Jews would lose all of their clout?

Barack Obama would not allow any photos taken of him with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he came to the White House for a visit in March.
It figures.

“I want to be cautious about what I say, because I don’t want to sound like Rev. Wright,” Gurdin said. “But my goodness, if a prominent Jewish person said something at a rabbinical conference that was disparaging against blacks, he (Wright) would be all over it.”

There’s a group of Israeli cultural envoys/emissaries called ‘shlicha’ (singular) or ‘shlichim’ (plural) attached to various Jewish community centers and other outlets across the country. They’re volunteers who receive pitifully small stipends to come and spread the good word about Israel in this country.
I went to a pro-Israel ‘rally’ organized by one of the shlicha here. It was hijacked at the last minute by her bosses, who are the kind of idiots who think that Israel will always be there, and be strong, no matter what they do.
When I spoke to her afterwards, she was in tears. I tried to comfort her, telling her that it was okay, that we Christians overwhelmingly support Israel, and that Americans still support Israel, no matter what Obama says or does. Sobbing, she replied to me, “Where are they? I never see them.”
I wasn’t sure what to do about this, until earlier today.
